i have penpals and whenever i go to the post office to drop by the letters, there is either the lady who gets so happy when she sees my letters and always tells me they are very pretty or the other lady that gets mad because the system might not read the stamp correctly and stuff...

"How much can I fit into 1 envelope so I only have to use 1 stamp?" Story of my life when I got into penpalling and had to learn about envelope sizes and thickness and stamps and all that jazz. As someone who penpals a lot, I can 100% tell you that letters with effort are SO much more appreciated and exciting to receive than letters with a bunch of washi tape and stickers on them to replace creativity and effort. Your letter was absolutely amazing.

This video did bring a tear to my eye. I am quiet old and I loved writing letters to my friends, I put in so much effort. Now I do it for fun sometimes, but I breaks my heart how most youngsters don't know the joy of writing a beautiful letter. I loved your video, it made me remember my old pen pal who liked making such beautiful letters. He passed away many years ago, but he will always be in my heart. I promise the only thing you need to be able to write a good letter is something you sincerely want to say to someone else! All of the drawing and stuff is great, but it's also not necessary- the letter is the most important part. Collaging from magazines/newspapers is also another really great way to decorate letters inexpensively without drawing if you want to dress them up!

I loved this video. It was so professional while still feeling personal and hand made. Some of the shots of the latters and the paper looked like they were straight out of a film. This is so beautiful! As someone who is a sucker for Victorian themes, I've often coffee-dyed my paper and written similar letters for my closest friends handcrafting everything from envelopes to the stickers to bookmarks. I love to see the same spirit in a much refined manner from someone with artistic capabilities like you!

No no no, I'm sure you're not! Everyone is different! I love doing this kinda stuff, but then I'll take like a week to respond to a message sometimes lol. And also I live really far from my friends now, so mailing them things is one of the only things I can do for them unfortunately.

There is definitely a community that enjoys letter writing- I think it will continue for a while yet. I have done a couple other themed letters, just not necessarily different time periods- maybe in the future, who knows~

This video is just beautiful, it was so relaxing watching it.🌸 I really like this kinda old and vintage gesture, sending letter to someone and yours with all the sruffs and the envelopes were just gorgeous. I liked especially the lotus stamp (I have a white lotus sticker on my laptop😚). Your friends are really lucky getting these pretty letters, thanks for sharing with us too!💗

Ahhh I'm so glad to hear that! The process of putting letters together is super relaxing, so I'm glad that translated in the video. Me too, old fashioned stuff is so beautiful! Tbh I've wanted to do wax seals for a long time, but never had money to buy supplies for it. When I found a way to do it with stuff I already have, it was really exciting! I’m doing in-character letters from my Elder Scrolls rp character to my friends’ characters.

I've ALWAYS loved writing letters to anyone but actually not sending them. I'm trying to give my friends letters of appreciation on how much I love them, and how I miss them.

Ahhh yes, I think sometimes the act of just getting all your thoughts out is really therapeutic and a great thing to do. So so lovely that you want to do that for your friends, I am sure it will be appreciated very much~

I was looking for videos on tips for wax sealing letters as my wax sealing kit just arrived in the post. What I got was better. This is absolutely incredible, receiving a letter like this would be an absolute dream come true and while I send letters often, I don’t think they will ever be quite the same again! Thank you for the inspiration I needed to write something so gorgeous! (And just in time for Christmas!)

I really do think that the mail people have truly seen everything at this point and would likely not be phased haha! But I will admit the thought that it might brighten their day a little does make me very happy~
