Great for folks to see part of how the magic happens. So much of what makes Empire the game it is (and have such an immersive setting) happens behind the scenes between events thanks to the work of people that love the game. That said much of what Andy talks about can be applied to other games.

Back when I did it, everything was locational hits. The body had 12, legs 8, and arms 7. Singles did 4 points of damage, doubles were 8 etc. Armour was subtractive, so studded leather made singles only do 2 damage for example. The after-action maths took longer than the fight!!
