I do love your videos on character guides, they are so helpful and enjoyable to watch.

Great. I did not plan to get him. I only watched this because I was curious on his kit. And now I have a new cryo on-field driver for my Xungqiu/Yelan team.

A couple of things to help out. Rizz C0 is much more focused on normals and you should for the most part ignore the charge attack buff and just string it in wherever you get the opening... mostly to supplement if your healer isn't keeping up. C0 also does not perform phenomenally well in melt comps and you are best off with hyper-fridge(where he outperforms ayaka) or freeze comps. C1 changes things drastically in favor of melt comps above all else. On top of that learning the N4 skip tech will allow you to melt on your N5 which is your largest multiplier. The major benefit to C1 is honestly that you can run a shielder(thoma is BiS) and get away with it because you can sustain through your self damage. without a shielder though you will find it nearly impossible to stay HP positive anyways due to burning procs. yeah burning procs... should probably mention Nahida is now your best teammate. Baizhu being an optional choice if you want to not burgeon as well and focus on burning and buffs for rizz directly. thoma or Dehya are your best 2 options for pyro application. a slow hydro applyer is also very good. Kokomi for now is typically better but you could accept some lost melts in favor of more burgeons with xinqui or yelan. If you go baizhu then bennet or shenhe(if you're a whale) are excellent slot ins as well. N4 skip: go through combo normally. as soon as you start the animation for N4 you will want to dodge. if you do it right the actual attack will be cancelled and you will be able to normal attack again to do the jumping overhead punch. This is best case as the 1st hit of the 2 on your N4 is the one that will steal the melt proc. it is possible to just skip the 2nd hit but I don't see a good reason to do it that way.

I believe his c1 also allows you to do a Rebuke for every 5 NA hits, so no need to be under 60% hp cmiiw

Rizzman's team setups I've seen working so far are burn melt with Bennett, Thoma, and Nahida or Yaoyao (Thoma needs Shieldbot build with Nahida, her burn is too strong for EM Thoma. Yaoyao is weaker but more comfy to use), just melt with Bennett (sensing a theme yet?) Xiangling, and flex (I like Zhongli, but if your ping allows, Kazoo/Succ/Venti can be better. Cryo healer will work too. Mika is unironically kinda okay, but c6 Diona is better) and Freeze with Xq and/or his hot not-aunt, Cryo flex (Mika or Rosaria/Kaeya) and a VV swirler if you have the slot. I don't have Shenhe, so I can't personally test it, but Wriothesley hits exactly 7 times with his first N5C combo, so make that what you will. I tried using Jean sunfire to replace Xiangling, and it kinda works, but also it's a circle impact and feels really clunky to use.

My fav team so far for him is Wrizzly (c4), Dehya(c3), Nahida(c2), &/or Kazuha (c2)/Bennett (c5).... It constantly applies burning and I melt like crazy on that team and I feel like a tank on Wrizzly since Dehya basically makes him immortal when she puts down her Elemental Skill.

@@rochelleanncrespo3556 He was consistently hitting 100k-ish+ or close to it when doing the full rotation correctly however at the time I was c4 on Wrizzly and a little later on after making that post I c6'ed him with the little primos I had left and got extremely lucky along with getting his weapon so with that team and his c6 he's hitting easily 300-400k+ in dmg every charged attack.

Rizzler, Qiqi, Yelan and Xinqie/Mona. I felt Qiqi is the best for him cuz if the off field healing she can Provide him for hitting the enemys.

@@rakkusu7241 Yes the Atk speed Part is amazing but with Qiqi when they got the Mark i can just hit them and heal up. I dont need to care for a field to stay in or any of my HP cuz all my Attacks heal me. I just like the ease of use with her really

I'm running him on Gilded Dreams tbh, and in burning melt with Nahida, with Bennet and Thoma, and he is hitting 200k+ Charged attacks (C1) I have very decent Maresussy pieces but optimizer keeps sending back Gilded Dreams as my better set (tbf I have very cracked pieces in Gilded Dreams, so makes sense for Melt)

Dehya is pretty dang good for reaction focused teams where she can apply off field pyro. I feel like too many people focus on damage output rather than utility when it comes to characters like her; between damage mitigation, knockback resistance, her pyro application being focused on her skill rather than burst (like xiangling and thoma), and the variety of useful artifact sets (crimson, tenacity, emblem, vouru, paradise, or gilded depending on how you want to use her), I feel like she makes up for what she may lack in damage in overall utility as a unit and has been part of all my abyss clears since she came out.

​@sworda63 what are the benefits of using dehya over Thoma for off field Pyro application? Closest one off the top of my head right now is Thoma being reliant on Burst to activate his off field pyro, but I feel thoma's shield is pretty essential in burnmelt

@@achievementart one thing is that thoma relies on normal attacks for pyro application. For wriothesley that's fine but for ganyu, ferminet, or other characters who rely more on their bursts, skills, or charge attacks trigger reactions, it can be a bit awkward to play with thoma. Another is dehya's ability to be run with tenacity to add a consistent attack buff in case you run bennett with noblesse since thoma's only attack buff set could really be noblesse and stacking double noblesse is ineffective. I do agree thoma's shield does help with the self damage from burnmelt and his c6 is also pretty good with wrio, but usually with a good enough healer or c1 wrio(assuming one is lucky enough to have him) Dehya can work as a worthy substitute. Most of the time, if c1 isn't available, a healer is necessary anyway so optimistically they should be able to out heal the burn and wriothesley's self damage for the most part. Personally I prefer Dehya for off field pyro in most cases unless against shielded enemies that don't take damage through their shield (cryo abyss mages or abyss heralds) since her skill's explosions are based on the enemy taking damage, like albedo's and raiden's skills. But really they're both good and work fine in burnmelt or burgeon teams.

WHAT ABOUT FROSTBEARER FOR OPTIMAL DRIP 😭😭😭😭😭 Also Mika can buff its physical dmg owo

Putting him on an MMA fighter team with Heizou, Wriothesley, Baizhu and (until another punchy unit gets dropped) their water boy intern Xingqiu

I think the best team for him is the burning melt with bannet, nahida and toma

We know you want furina and trying to find a reason to not pull for him but no one cares 😂 He's probably the best burning reverse melt unit currently. Because the only one who's good at reverse melt is ganyu but the rotations r kinda weird and ganyu can't stay on the field as long as wrizzly can because of tomas long pyro application and deal allot of damage. Especially if can reverse melt with his ca. You can ezzly do like 500 to 800 damage in just one rotation

I was fortunate enough to snipe a C6 Thoma (never thought I’d EVER say that as a former Thoma hater 🥴😂) so my ideal team for Wrio is an Oven team with Yaoyao (hp, dw), Thoma (em, gd) and Furina (gt). I don’t plan on using Yaoyao’s burst too often so hopefully Wrio’s natural hp mechanic can help max Furina’s stacks

So far I've put him in a 4 piece Berzerker artifact set with the Lost Prayer catalyst, and it's actually working pretty good. I think it's important to remember to just do things for fun sometimes. Also, all my Marechaussee farms keep landing me pieces with DEF% main stats.

she does nothing but healing tho, and she doesn't generate any energy for herself, making her energy requirements super high. mika provides atk speed, benny provides atk, jean provides vv shred, kokomi provides hydro app, etc. qiqi doesn't do anything

@@m_milos I have never had trouble with energy on Qiqi. I do have her at C6 (unfortunately) so I'm not sure if that's because of a constellation.

I would like to ask if Dodoco Tales is also good for him. Atk sub stat. On R5, normal attacks hit on oponents increase Charged Attack dmg by 32% for 6s. Charged attacks hit on oponent increase ATK bu 16% for 6s. I think this is also pretty amazing for Wrio.

I have a well optimized shimenawa set for him but when i was pulling him, i got c2 right after getting c1. So im farming the new domain so hard coz c2 would be a waste if i keep using shimenawa on him

I am running widsit R5 with him, his current build without his mara 4 piece, crit rate, it's 65% CR and 270% crit dmg, with a cryo goblet, now one of his sand piece is EM, the only reason I am using that piece because the crit dmg substat is 38.9%. The other piece I had was Atk but with 7.8% crit dmg, I did use like 5000 resin or even more for this set and haven't got anything good to replace the piece, now if I reduce the crit rate ratio, I could potentially push the crit dmg to around 285% with crit rate of 50% (dont know if I should go with it)

I am F2P player and was lucky to get wriothesly in 15 wishes fortunately, so it's c0 with 9/7/8 talents atm

Well the thing about Wriothesly is that is he better than my Kaeya C1, Rosaria C0, or Diona C4, because those are my only Cryo characters I have at my disposal on my account (none of them built by the way) because I don't use Cryo or Freeze/Melt teams for anything really, but should I reconsider if he is that good in Freeze/Melt teams?? Because I'm not going to lie I've been wanting to run freeze because of some of the characters I have and don't have I ran similar teams and it wasn't as fun, but I'm wondering if I had the right DPS characters or supports would it be better or viable for abyss clearing???

What about burn/melt with Rizzley, Thoma/Bennett, Nahida, Shenhe for example?

How much do I simp this man? I had him fully built in a master of hours with pretty good artifacts. I finished crowning his talents a few hours ago.

Do you guys think C0 Rice Lee will be significantly more powerful than C0 Ganyu once Furina is out? Right now at C0, he kinda falls short compared to C0 Ganyu and C0 Ayaka right? That seems to be the general opinion? If he does get significant buff from Furina, I will get him on his rerun.

if you strictly follow sheet numbers, yeah he's a bit weaker. If you follow gameplay and all, then nah wrio c0 is actually... a bit stronger in 4-man team due to ease of use and you won't feel devastated making mistakes here and there with him. General opinion =/= truth

@@history.fictionologist His best team is burnmelt *at C1*. Furina Freeze is almost certainly his best team at C0, and the difference between Furina Freeze and Burnmelt at C1 isn't that far off, anyways, which speaks to how ludicrous Furina's buff is.

Yo got a question for anyone who can answer nicely: For the melt team can i replace XL with Thoma? I get XL is one of the best Pyro supports though i like Thoma's shield for comfort when fighting especially with bosses. I never had him before Wrio's banner and i got him at C6 not built.

he does not apply pyro fast enough to enable Wriothesley to reverse-melt, so it will be Thoma who melts intead of Wriothesley. I think it makes more sense to replace bennet with thoma instead of xiangling, since thoma can use atk buff artifacts like noblesse. But this team will need a lot of energy and lacks healing (except if you use a cryo healer). If you want comfort, you could use wrio-bennet-xl-diona (for shield and cryo resonance) or zhongli for stronger shield.

the melt comp people seem to be settling on is thoma nahida bennett, which uses burning to maintain a pyro aura to melt. just watch out that you don't self burn to death via nahida, so you need your thoma to be reasonably built and beefy.

thoma-xq-nahida result in a weird burgeon-melt team that actually ... deals a lot of damage and works fine. Furina in xq slot would force the team to have baizhu as defensive option instead of nahida, but overall this team type will do a lot of damage on top of being comfortable to play

I got Rice Lee gauranteed but thinking whether to get Furina in 4.2 or on her re run. I have enough wishes and guaranteed Furina now, but thinking of getting Furina on re run instead because I want Sigewinnie and her cons. I just don't like the 4 stars on Furina banner for 4.2.

I haven't seen any guide mention Dodoco Tales for Wriothesley. I mean at R5 you get 32% CA just from doing NAs and you get 16% ATK from doing CAs. Seems really synergistic with his playstyle.

Mans said 95-100% crit rate. That is over kill given his 4pc set and cryo resonance and weapon give about 60+ crit rate for free. Thats not even couting the sub stat artifacts that can give a little or alot of crit depending on the rolls. That had me flummoxed hearing that lol
