Wrinkles Of The City: Havana, Cuba
Фильм және анимация
In 2012, French artist JR and Cuban American artist José Parlá collaborated on The Wrinkles of the City - Havana, Cuba: huge mural installations undertaken for the Havana Biennale, for which JR and Parlá photographed, and recorded 25 senior citizens who had lived through the Cuban revolution; creating portraits, which Parlá interlaced with calligraphic writings and abstract painterly gestures. This is their film collaboration by the same title documenting their experience.

Какие лица, какие люди. Спасибо тем, кто их запечатлел. Спасибо тем, кто создал этот фильм
These are my 2nd cousins 🥰. Proud that they are my family
Wonderful works. So different, powerful and intimate.
Love the art but more importantly the documenting of it and hearing folks talk about the art was the most rewarding! Bravo!
Perfect example of art. I'm so exhausted by all the "Modern art" today, the meaningless abstracts that have no story to tell. This is real art.

Beautiful
Just finished my 7th trip to Cuba a few days ago and always wondered about these portraits. the only answer I could get in Havana was they were and art project. Cuban's are amazing their happiness is contagious. That said I fear soon the crime and life style of the west if coming very fast. I can see a Time when Havana is more like Brazil. I hope not, they increased the amount of police on the streets and it has had a large effect on those try to make money off tourists. Nice video .... most of these portraits are still on display.
POR TU AMOR AL ARTE
I love the music with this I just wish I knew what it was??? Love the art one hundred percent. I was hurt when the guy said we are gonna take it down... I was like you WHAT!????

Long time no see, THNKR. Please, stay for a while.
Theres No Kids In Havana But in Sagua La Grande It is Just Like I cant... Its Just so beautiful in the Mountains. And the freedom the kids have walking and playing on the street but in Havana all the kids are hidden or just not there.

I have mixed feelings about this. Ofcourse it's beautiful art, my compliments; but putting it smack in the middle of "unspoiled" terrain as the two American artists do, doesn't feel completely right. They wield the kindness of the local people and put their own product on "their" walls to then get angry when some local people want to clear the wall again, it's "a little" rude. It defiles it all a little so it feels. Yet again, it's beautiful..

Are you guys lacking funding? Cause 10 9 months is a long time... I would think the fans would be happy to crowdfund for you to make great content.
may be ’笑い)
The guy with a tattoo on his right shoulder/arm wanted to wash away the art oh the irony
Mediocre photography at best and not-so-impressive, even sloppy "street art"... big installation is what makes it cool.

+Selman Arisoy The project was about the installation - not the photography itself - a bitter comment :P
