    Researched Wright, Ferris, and Scag. Wright headquarters is 20 miles from my property but no one was a wright dealer nearby for parts and repair availability. Same with ferris and ferris has been known for electrical issues. Ended up going Scag and love the velocity deck. I also run seafoam fuel stabilizer but run it all year around as it prevents the gas from collecting moisture in the tanks. Wanted a wright as the deck mounted motors have a lower enter of gravity but scag deck, quality, and support won out for me.

    I've been looking to add a Wright stander x. Going to be demoing one here soon. I've narrowed the two standers to the x and the v rode 2, and i agree with what you said about the grease points and other maintenance items, i am definitely leaning towards the wright stander x, less is more for sure no grease points how you take the blades off etc. There are two things i won't like but can live with the pad and oil change location. Good review

    @@johnnycashbenham1192 big fan of it. But we use it maybe a handful of times per week. We either discharge or bag. The flap makes a soupy mess. But it is good for mulching lawns that do not have a lot of leaves

    Finally replaced a clutch at 1900 hrs on my first sentar 48 from 07. Tolerance for clutch wiring and belt is really small. Just had to fix the clutch wiring on my 2020 stander x at 1100 hrs. Not a big deal. Easiest controls I have ever used.

    You cutting northern grasses? Fescue/rye/kgb/weedy crabgrass stuff on the biweeklys? I heard everything great on the wrights except cut quality. On long island and a lot of bigger companies use them, im figuring because of ease of maintenance and fleet discount. I used an old one once didnt like the dual handle steering but ive only ever used the scag type

    Hey man! So northeast we have all fescue/zoysia/sandy weedy junk. We are in NJ. Absolutely love them man. Never had an issue with cut quality. I'm a major fan of the dual handles. We have a scag also but since we have always had wrights the dual handles don't bother us, I guess we get used to it overtime.

    @roachbrotherslawncare2936 I'm sure I'd get used to it just felt strange having to switch handles. Yeah I don't have too many zoysia properties thank God, it gets everywhere. I'm not a stickler for perfect cut qaulity, like you said stripes don't pay the bills. I appreciate you saying that btw, you seem to have a very realistic view of the business that a lot of youtubers dont. But anyway, being able to cut fast and leaving a good enough cut that I won't hear about it is my goal. My understanding was the wright's don't do well with taller or wet stuff which as you know, may and June is all we get

    @@jamess9910 I mean we also do not do a lot of bi-weekly properties. The ones we do I can honestly say I've never had a problem with cut quality. Yeah man, stripes don't pay the bills, lol. Good enough cut is all you need. If they are happy that's all that matters!

    Any reason why you use 48s over 52s? Looking to get a X 52

  • @roachbrotherslawncare2936

    @roachbrotherslawncare2936

    5 ай бұрын

    The only reason we go with the 48s is just because our properties here are pretty small and most people have a gated backyard. So some fence gate sizes are different and our 48 fits in most gates. Not sure what the properties look like in your area. But if you have no gated yards or fences definitely run a 52. If you do try and think of what size gates your customers have

    @@roachbrotherslawncare2936same reason I run a 48, the gates. Most residential gates were too narrow for me to fit a 54 through but 48 can get through 95% of them.
