I feel like Phil Parkinson has grown a bit with the club too. He used to be known as shy and didn't like the media but here he is doing a podcast to try get more Americans on board. If it goes well, Phil could be back in the championship.

As an American, I got into football pre-1994 because of some recruiting from friends who played but became immersed in the game during the 1994 WC here in the States. I finally began following the English system around 1996 and have been following every level from what's now 11 to 1. Needless to say, I'm in-love with with the promotion-relegation system and watching clubs travel each way (or even sadly cease operations--Phoenix clubs included). Accordingly, I simply love Wrehxam's story. FYI, I've been a fan of Sheffield Wednesday since 1998-1999.

I can see Phil managing a MLS club in the distant future, with his profile, and gathering knowledge of the US, plus no doubt meeting up with former Aston Villa Manager now at Coralina! I can see Phil taking Wrexham to Mid level Championship and then going to the MLS! And who could blame it, Wrexham won't blitz through L1 & The Championship in next two seasons that's for sure.🤔

I had no idea that the bookies had us that high on the list the breeze through league 2!

I feel like the team was not ready to go up last year and may have dropped back. It took the additional year in the National league to get the team ready for where it is today.

Ooof Rog I have bad news.... Jim's south street burned down last year. Hopefully rebuilding but no timeline. So sorry man.

@meninblazers Angelo's South Philly, Pizza Plus, and Ishkabibbles are all ratively close by and have great cheesteaks too! But Jim's was where I'd take everyone from. Out of town. Classic spot.

NOOOOOOOO... Oh my god. Jim's is the bar against which all others are measured. Finding an acceptable steak in SoCal isn't impossible, but finding one with Whiz is absolutely hopeless.

@roberthyland9994 as someone who has live in Philly for 10 years but grew up in socal... try a Philly's best if there any near you. I know it seems sacrilege.... but they're actually not bad for a west coast cheesteak and they don't load it with BS like mushrooms and peppers

I wonder if Parky had a quick chat with Poch about keeping the score under 10..? Seriously, it’s just an exhibition match, but I’ll hazard a guess at 9-1 (won’t do Wrexham lads confidence much good to ship a boatload)

I love me some Rog Bennett. But he totally overestimates Wrexham support. The game last night was all about Chelsea. 90% of the fans were there to see Chelsea. Wrexham has wonderful support in the USA, but even still that support is small compared to the big EPL teams or even most all MLS teams.

Hey Rog, sorry but Jim’s Steaks burned down over a year ago. I live 2 blocks away, so tell Phil he can come to my place and I’ll make him a sandwich.

I wish they would play an MLS team so that casual Americans would see through the massive propaganda they have to swallow about the league, but execs will never allow that. Narrative is everything; the truth about MLS would be too damaging.

I think one day that could happen playing against National League and League 2 teams against an MLS team. Why not? Maybe not now just yet. The casuals would need to be aware there is a lower tier National League to begin with though. If you are a supporter of the sport you would encourage this
