Brian Harkin ridiculous as in shite or good? I dont feel our generation is ready to understand him man. I was 14/15 when he was out. I am now 24 and appreciate him more now than I did then. Its so sad, he is a genius.

@@melissalouise11795 I am 36 and the reason that this generation is not ready is because they have been conditioned by mumble rap by the media and all radio and tv. This is something people don't want to hear because they are not use to it. They learn to follow the best and listen to basically nothing.

I felt I had to elaborate: we have a massive number of conscious rappers who don't sign with big labels for two reasons, firstly in the U.K. rappers, especially conscious rappers, are brought up knowing not to sign any 360 deals and prefer to slow burn and own their entire masters and secondly the big U.S. labels cannot deal with the controversial lyrics and so shy away from the deals. "Conscious Rapper Name" owns all their work, their own label, or book editorial or even theatre productions. They tour globally but the U.S. labels and governing entertainment bodies want censorship when so many of our rappers will not comply, it would be considered weak by their peers and fans thus never getting a foot in the door in America. Dave did a freestyle with the L.A. Leakers, Mic Righteous did a freestyle with Joel Ortiz (sorry I don't recall which show it was)...but they are rare exceptions on occasional low exposure radio shows. The industry knows if they open the gates the U.K. MC's will flood the entire market and I'm keeping it 100 here. I'm 45 years old. I know the U.S. used to be ahead of the game in rap for 25 years but in the last 15 years or so, your own labels have ruined U.S. Hip Hop and the U.K. has not only caught up but clearly overtaken the U.S. as far as what is acceptable in a real Hip Hop culture. The current U.S. mainstream is totally overrun by industry puppets, not real rappers, except the occasional banger from one of the O.G.'s. American producers have tried to sign UK artists in the past. JayZ and Roc Nation signed K.Koke in 2009 but then Koke got arrested by Operation Trident and was not allowed to leave the UK so he was dropped by the label also Dappy was approached by Def Jam after N Dbubz split and after he dropped No Regrets I think it was, if you listen to his Tarzan Freestyle part 1 he says it on the track ' I'm spontaneous I don't care fam, I said No to the Def Jam Chairman - and trust me, Dappy is not exactly a raw rapper.....so imagine the likes of Wretch, Ghetts, Kano, Lowkey (banned in the U.S.), Akala (no daytime airplay allowed) , to name just a few, who ONLY rap to educate....it would cause an outrage from the political extremist that run the place.

The main reason a lot of our rappers don't become mainstream coverage is because they are mainly conscious rappers and talk about real issues and call out the government on political problems. Because of this they don't get airplay, but one of the other barriers UK rappers face in becoming known in the States is because of the accent. You should definitely react to Mic Righteous fire in the booth part 3. He's one of the most passionate in the world and another one you will enjoy. Great reactions anyway and you've gained another subscriber from me.

A play on Kendrick and J Cole , as Wretch real name is also Jermaine. He also made a comparison to Rapper future in a bar in the same booth when he was with Avelino
