Having just installed the CanyonX pack, my natural instinct - as I like the ovals - was to check out the dirt Figure of 8, so here is a 10-lapper. It's my second run as the first saw me frustratingly trapped against the wall towards the end of the race. I've had to use a chase view as the trackside one doesn't work.
As for the race, well I started in 11th so it looked good so long as I could move towards the front quickly, but the first run proved to be tricky regardless of position because the dirt track creates a lot of dust and thus poor visibility, which is brilliant. I got the lead but one collision on the intersection saw me overtaken by an orange Escort AI, but that got tangled elsewhere and gifted me the win.
It's a great track, wide and generous, so blockages were very unlikely, but the Silver Bullet struggled to get any speed. You'll hear the auto gearbox constantly changing up and down, and I never really built momentum. Probably the surface.
And yes, I know it's a week since the last video. I was away for 3 days at the start of the week (Brighton, get your shit together - you're looking a bit grubby, although I like your indoor karting track) and spent Thursday/Friday catching up with work. I did actually boot the game up on Friday evening for another thrash around Swaffham, but a mishit recording key resulted in only a minute or so of video, so I jacked it in. Pity. It was decent race overall, largely uneventful, but I managed one cracking follow-in. The evidence is lost for good, I'm afraid.
