I camped out at Pennsborro 3 times in 94 95 96 some of the best late model racing I ever witnessed. Great memories sad to see it closed

good news! WDTV just announced that the pennsboro speedway is planned to be back up and running in 2024!

Summer vacation helps! Having the Uni not murdering me constantly does indeed help. Oh and a lot of stuff that should in a perfect world be improved, but don't look too hard / much on it and it's a happy compromise Haha! 😅 Thanks yourself and hope summer and other upcoming "stuff" treats you well! ;)

I went to this track about 2 years ago when they had a miniwedge race on a little track beside the original... This track is gigantic for dirt track racing... Its sad to see such a giant track with potential just lay and have weeds tear it up...

It sure is. I'm more of a folkrace guy, but the same happens here as well. Old classics getting shut down due to small conflicts, and then there is just no one wanting to invest in them. Luckily some of the tracks is saved by locals that do all the maintenance and work for free, just because they love it so much and sees what it contributes with in those remote locations.

grow up going to this track its in Ritchie County West Virginia. it is sad that its been dormant for so long but they do WRA mini wedge races there during race season on the small track on the back stretch

Guy.... FYI.... The word you meant is spelled DEBT, not dept.... They had DEBT disputes. That is of course unless you're from WV.... Then that was a good attempt for a hillbilly. BTW..... Do ya know how we know that toothpaste WAS invented in WV ??? A: Because if it had been invented in any other state, it would be called TEETHPASTE. 😁

i dont understand the trees in the infield...Pennsboro never had trees there, other than that it looks great

It seems the modding support is not going to happen on the consoles. But if many enough requests certain tracks to be added to the main - who knows? ;)

Hard to say actually. Never done console myself so a bit fresh. But never say never, maybe BB has a plan for it :)

I know it’s a game but the track doesn’t look or ever looked like that

Probably true, as the material it was based on (the reference) mostly was from the period after it was closed down. Also one of the dangers by doing old tracks is that they might change over time, meaning that one period it might look somewhat different than a other.
