My 2nd wrecker was K35 1ton with matching 4.88:1 gears... Had a 327 under the hood...pulled a lotta 4X4's off of Maunakea & out of Waipi`o Valley... Mine had the push bumper on it... Cool recovery...

I drove on a few punctured tires, lol. Both on and off road. Drove my CJ quite some distance on a trail with a 1" x 6" chunk of wood sticking out the sidewall. Eventually it got too low and I had to change it. Once I came out of the grocery store and one of my CJ tires was hissing. It had a small screw in it. I was about to change it, but I figured I could easily make it home before it went flat, so I did that instead.

Eric dump those duals and put some thick ply big tires on the back. More traction, easier to repair and with the wheel on the hub it will be stronger and more safe. I know money doesn't grow on trees. Thanks for the vids.

I was in some tall grass, and drove into the bottom part of a Red Cedar that had fallen over, on a lake-shore. Punched a 6" hole in the sidewall of my DS front tire, about 12 years ago.

I had a 1/2" dewalt battery impact that lasted about 3 years of mild garage work, didn't hold up time wise, mechanical guts failing some...not battery... but it was very strong when new, any lug nuts, CV axle nuts, even ran a pinion nut or two off. They are handy.

I don't know who makes these trails but I have never seen someone leave a stump to cut a wheel on in a recovery vehicle trail. Simple cure for stumps it's called 3 parts fertilizer and 2 parts petroleum product. Farmers stump remover, lol.

Alright Chevy K5 owners help me out. I just picked up a nice K5 Blazer it has a mild 350 and a TH350 it has a 3 inch lift with stock axles. Truck currently has 31 inch M/T MTZ on it but they are shot, The truck will mostly be used around town and towing my boat, it will see the odd trail ride but nothing crazy can anyone suggest a good tire I can run? I don't want anything super aggressive and loud I had aggressive tires on my old Jeep and hated the noise.
