Ari at his epic best in a MKII Escort imo.. He just seemed to wring more out of each car whatever the occasion.. Not always leading to a win but did he try 1010ths and more. Saw him on the Manx many times as well as RACs and WRC rounds. Absolutely loved every one.

Classic car in a classic era when drivers really were skilled.

I miss this fabulous era….

Mates, my Dad had one of those when I was a kid, he used it for work and it was always filthy. Bet it's be worth a small fortune now.

The MKII Ford Escort was built to Group 4 spec and were before Group B (1983 onward)
