Its weird how they managed to get a WRC license for the PS1 despite Evolution Studios already at it with the PS2.

2002 was still a transitional year from PS1 to PS2, I wouldn't call this late game weird.

@@gameandstuff Sony was spending big those days, they had the Formula 1 rights (game developed by Studio Liverpool) World Rally Championship (by Evolution Studios) and MotoGP (by Namco in a second party agreement)

I finished EVERYTHING completely this Game I won all the races in gold complete all the frames it took me about 4 to 7 hours if I'm not mistaken but I had a lot of fun then you follow the same tracks but in reverse I highly recommend them greetings

It is emulation, so resolution and some kind of graphics are way better. Looking almost like ps2 game, but animation are typical for ps1. But still impressive.

This reminds me of Sega Rally Revo, only 6 years earlier.

Yes. Sega Rally Revo only allows 6 cars max whilst WRC ARCADE allow up to 8.

It was a poor man's Sega Rally, but that soundtrack... ♥ Easy to beat, low on content, pick up and play. At least we can agree on that last part being something I miss...

This PAL-only PlayStation 1 game looks excellent. I wish I could easily afford it in US dollars (I'm from the United States and I have a UK PAL slim SCPH-75003 PlayStation 2 console). Hopefully there will be a wonderful deal for it one day!
