this is so so sad. WRC 9 also had this problem. And guess what. WRC 8 also. Alot of people complane about it. But they just ignore this. I don't buy a WRC game ever again until this stupid problem is fixed. Why cap op 30/60/120/240hz? This is something that was normal back in the windows 98 times. But now...? Common... WRC 10 is just easy money.

Thanks for this. Just moved from a Nitro+ 5700xt to a RTX 3080 Ti in prep for a triple monitor setup and ran into the stutter issues and frame drops. On the AMD card it was super easy to get smooth at 1440p/60hz but the NVidia card was giving me fits. This worked well.👍 The issue with game is that the physics engine and rendering engine refresh separately. This is why you have to lock refresh to 60 or 120 hz, to force both engines to sync.

Thanks man! Helped a lot! Not where I want it to be but I’m a bit of a perfectionist, I need more tweaking. But as a quick fix solution this helped a ton:)

La resolución que me funciona es 1920 x1800 todo en ultra. Unos 120 fps Gracias de nuevo ! Al fin puedo disfrutar del wrc 10 justo a tiempo para esports un saludo 👋

Sorry for the late reply to your comment. Something is fundamentally wrong with the games engine for PC users in particular. I am not sure whether they designed it with Console market in mind and it is just a poor PC port, but some (not all) stages are bordering unplayable..

do u have any idea on how to improve fps on xbox one? and graphics these both are really terrible there

Sorry mate, I don't have the console version - If there is a way to lock the FPS to 30 both in game and via your TV/Monitor, with V-Sync, otherwise you will have to wait for the January update, which traditionally has been quite large and tries to remedy performance issues in previous titles... hopefully Kyloton can get it sorted.....

On PC you have third party apps like fraps to measure framerate, or steam measures it as well. The stutter is so bad though and inconsistent that you don't need to measure that something is fundamentally wrong

@@AshHobson It's also because of shader compilation. The game compiles shaders on the fly and not ahead of time or asynchronous. Terrible game design.

My monitor is 240hz, but should I use 60hz? That's a really funny game. I'll refund you right away.

The problem is not the games of today, the problem is the people who get more and more lazy and stupid on PCs and cant configure anything right anymore. They just want to sit down, press "play" and everything has to run smooth and fine. 20 years ago we ve learned a lot about configuring, because without that, NO game was buttery smooth or fine. So I am glad I am an old guy... lol

variable refresh rate is the only way to get the most out of your hardware. unless you have a way of making VRR work properly like it does in literally every other game I've played you can stop talking

Im more than happy to tweak ini's, add reshades, even mod the game to make it what it should be, but turning off vrr and limiting my hardware because the game is programmed badly is just shit on their part. Edit: I'm also an old guy, one that doesn't miss games not working, because I'm not a sadist

Most of the inconsisten stutter is because of shader compilation in this game. No matter what you tweak or fiddle around it, regardless of your hardware the game will stutter. This is just terrible game design mate.
