Love the wrapper. My cousin bales with a new this season f5500 and I chase him round with the wrapper. Only down side is me is the ground we do is never flat and it just makes some bales tricky weather that’s loading, driving across the field with one on the arm or tipping of onto the ends. Just have to be on the ball 👍🏻

we don'y use a lot of round bales (anymore). Back in the day (we talk late 90's early 00's) we did some in autumn. Stacked ehm on the round side, but back then my dad did the work and he had to milk the cows, so it was faster. But we started very soon with big wrapped square bales, fitted our operation better. Nowadays we do about 500 big squares (160x120x70cm) a year, the contractor loads and stacks ehm. But as they also do round bales they use a balegrap that goes over the top of the bale. If we have (mid)May hay i have the idea that grap isn't the best for the bale and the bales get a bit unstable, it might be the drymatter in the bale. Personally I prefer the side grap (like Andy, it's a farming life uses) we have on an old forklift mast (the up and down thingy ;) ) on the back of our tractor. Also I can get 2 at the time if the hay is dry. We usually stack ehm 5 high, but 3high on the bottom and then 2high on 4stacks of 3 (pyramide style sort of). Also, im always surprised by the strength of plastic wrap. We try to avoid sharp stones on the ground as much as possible, but sometimes you miss one. In most cases it doesn't penetrate the wrap, even on the less dense wrapped parts of a bale. Or when you slide em over a little on concrete. Too bad you have so much plastic you have to pay for to get rid of (and it doesn't even get recycled over here).. Anyway, nice set up you got there I can see how that works perfectly for you! Keep the video's coming, Cheers from the Netherlands, Casper

I prefer to stack on end's, because they keep their shape. When you have to roll them into the clients barn by hand it makes life so much easier. When I stacked them on their rounds in the past where they sqush they left water in, the bales would be damp on the bottom.

I am going to ask a stupid question, why are you wrapping hay? Is it haylage for horses? In my experience round bales freshly made need to be left outside for about a week, after that they are safe to put into storage. Is there a risk of mould forming on bales that are damp before baling and wrapping. Sorry if you have answered this question before.
