I like the format! And agree with everything you said, especially that we have more solutions than problems these days. Well done for 1000 subs!

Wow according to dates of videos released, you’ve grown to 1k subscribers in essentially one year? Nice work! I’ve wanted to get a channel going for awhile now for various hobbies; but never start putting videos together. Need to buckle down and just start doing the damn work. Excited for my Kemper profile player to come in tomorrow! Didn’t realize you can’t run two different amps at once on a bank…seems kind of limited. It’ll still be perfect for what I’m going to be using it for, which is mostly studio work/home studio writing and recording.

Thanks! Yeah I dropped a few videos and then really sunk my teeth into it a bit later on. I love the creative outlet cause it crosses a few of my hobbies/passions. When it all comes together it's super rewarding! Good luck with it and make sure you enjoy the process, you'll be buried in it 24/7 😆. If you want to bounce ideas like editing, lighting, general youtube questions just join my discord and im sure I can help out where possible, good luck with it!

It's kind of funny that the Kemper still sounds better live than any of the other digital boxes including the ones that copied Kempers Profiling invention. The others went for the big screen to edit when you can do all your editing wirelessly on a giant PC screen or phone or tablet...so what's the point of a big screen on the actual unit? 🙂 Big screens on the actual pedal will soon be considered old technology when everything can be controlled on a phone APP. So Kempers timing is perfect and that's why they've sold thousands of Players in the last month.

I only play at home. Only use plugins, not even own an amp anymore. I like the idea of an ampless rig, so I am looking at what is out there. The iridium lacks a way for me to use backing tracks with it, so does the Tonex. Boss ir200 has everything, but I am not sure yet I have heard anything I like in the demos. Two Notes Opus is not a pedal and needs a controller. The Hx stomp seems great, I am not sure I can get on with the UI. Interestingly, the Ampero II ticks a lot of boxes, but is lacking in certain fx, and I don't know if its amps are as good as the others. Kemper was never an option since it is very expensive for me. However, I am tempted by the Player. However, since there is no fx loop, it seems it would not be a great choice to eventually build a pedalboard around.

There are so many solutions and I guess its all budget constrained and then I file it into digital or analog. If the budget permits and you are happy with digital, the FM3 is probably the way to go... its limitless in comparison to picking up a bunch of pedals and its all in one unit. Heck even an entry level headrush would get the job done for live usage if the budget was low. I think stuff like the IR-2 and Kemper Profile Player make sense when you have a more analog pedal board and just want to have one thing doing the amp side of things... but the ironic thing is once you chuck the kemper down, a board, cables, power, 1-2 other pedals you're now at the cost of an fm3 but its all modular. Some people like that, some people have those pedals lying around already it really just depends on what you want to put into it. So hard to keep up with best solutions, I just mentally file everything away and maybe one day that solution is needed... either way the kemper is a cool bit of kit, would definitely love to try it first hand

Trust me the IR200 can get you the sounds you want. I find it to be way more flexible and get better tones than the FM3 I had

I keep hearing good things about their GT line (especially how low the latency is), but never really heard anything about the IR-200 before the IR-2 came out. Either way they seem to know a thing or two, the quiet achievers 😆

@@ampspedalspickups yeah the gt 1000 based stuff (like the ir200 and ir2 etc) is really good. Kemper level good. You just have to ignore that they dont model every amp out there.. but you can still get any tone out of it because the amp models are really flexible.
