Another great report. Purdue will need that defense v Illinois, a team I very much hope Purdue defeats next Tuesday at Champaign. In a way Purdue’s postseason run starts there because Illinois is a team that could go to the Final Four. It will be another tough game!

I am absolutely sure Brian is a very busy sports journalist and there are many days there are not enough hours in the day to accomplish all that he sets out to accomplish. But I wish from time to time he would be invited to the announcers table to give a few comments while the game is in progress, e.g., during a time out.

I completely agree with Brian. The only remaining question: Is THIS the team that BREAKS Purdue's NCAA Tournament CURSE? How I hope it is!

What a game! Loyer definitely stepped up, however it pains me to say that Furst is more of a liability than an asset on this team at this point. Lance needed to step up more this game. If Lance can perform much better than tonight and the team remains the same as tonight they’ll be deadly come tourney time.

I think Furst suffers from his spot in the rotation. He’s awesome at cutting and crashing but he comes in with Morton and Camden who don’t demand a lot if any attention.

@@ripsett6638 Camden is by far the most underrated player with explosive potential. All I’ve seen Furst do is have slippery feet, butter fingers, and absolutely no backbone down in the post. Feel like him and Morton produced much more last season. I’m still rootin for them! Anything can happen, and anyone can step up big come the Tourney!

Haters. Jesus Christ. Furst is in a tough spot, but to say he has no backbone in the post is crazy. Always fighting for and getting boards. Plays incredibly hard. Often helps keep things going/not negative when Zach needs a breather. Like can Purdue fans talk about the team without a finding a way to shit on it? Looking at you @tronapostle.

TKR starting and only playing 14 minutes is dumb. Gillis should be starting.

As A Michigan State fan, I disagree with the idea that Purdue played good defense in this game. This Michigan State team's offense has been anemic since Walker's injury woes started. I was shocked to see MSU keep up with Purdue for so long with Edey scoring at will and kicking it to your shooters. Congratulations on at least sharing a Big Ten Title!

Love Lance Jones. To me that was his worst game of the season. He seems to get frustrated when he hasn't scored, then makes bad decisions trying to force the issue.
