Years ago some Walmart locations use to sale the Wrangler 13MWZ along with heavier Rustlers. In the Southwest a lot guys will wear summer weight denim to keep from burning up in the heat. To some I am an odd duck, because I always fold my jeans I never hang them and I never starch them. Starching over time can and will damage the cotton fibers. Really liked how you went over the difference the fabric weights and pattern cut of the jean styles. Keep Orange Crushing It!

They still carry the 13MVZ raw denims in a lot of Walmarts. Mostly in ranch country. Okeechobee Walmart has them in stock.

Going up in TX and wearing boots as a kid, Pops was in the Air Force, I remember loving Wranglers. I am not a Cowboy by any means, but I remember the Wranglers being great! Thanks for the info, trying to figure out which Wranglers would be great for my lifestyle.

Once a year I go to Pigeon Forge with the family to DollyWood and they have a Wrangler Outlet store. I go crazy in there and get all my work clothes for the year. I am a painter so I usually get their cargo pants to work in but I love the Retro line to go out in. Great job as always Lionel

I wear that Rustler or the Atwood’s $10 brand when I fence. I don’t worry bout them barbed wire gouge holes as much. Same when I’m doing planned mechanic work. Our Walmart still sells 13MWZs. That’s the go to for me. I go up one size on all for my IWB pistol.

I wear the wrangler 31mwz relaxed fit .most stores i shop dont carry them anymore and most of my wranglers were getting wore out, so recently with less money in my pockets i went to walmart and now own 6 pair of the relaxed fit flex.i love them for work and chores around the small ranch.

I just picked up two pairs of 13MWZs, the rigid indigo and whiskey Black colors. I am extremely impressed with both. I absolutely love the color, look and fit of the Black Whiskey jeans they look awesome with my Timberland Earthkeeper boots. The rigid denim fit great and I love the feel of them. I have a $170 pair of selvedge denim Naked & Famous jeans and the denim feels exactly the same minus the selvedge on the Wranglers. I won't lie I was very reluctant to wear Wranglers and especially "cowboy" cut Wranglers but honestly the fit is great, they're not too slim and not too baggy, they fit a little bit looser then a pair of Levi's 511s while still being nice and slim but not too slim.

Yeah, those jeans are very good and are made for work Cowboys, so they do need to be slim enough to not get caught on things, but loosen enough to have good mobility when jumping on and off the horse or doing other things. It’s all about function and has to look good as well.

Best fitting pair of jeans I ever bought were Wranglers.😊

I think the rugged wear ones you get at a western store are similar to five star, but are thicker and are probably made for someone who's going to use them for camping, working outdoors, or like factories. The authentic are probably the same as five star, but are probably to give the vintage look and style

I also use the darkwash walmart jeans with a blazer in formal settings.

The retros are more comfortable but not good for work. Right now I switched to the silver edition. Wish there was a video explaining the editions and styles.

Another great video, I got some Ariats, some Cinch and mostly wrangler. I got some of the Walmart ones for yard work. I only have one pair of 20x and the rest are 13MWZ the cowboy cut. What I like about the wrangler 13’s is the room they are not relaxed fit but enough room to move. That wrangler 13mwz offer many colors and sizes most are pre washed or treated so they won’t shrink much. They are high rise they hug just above the waist good plus if you got some junk in the trunk they fit better than a mid ride or low rise. If you don’t like the high rise the 47mwz supposed to be the mid rise version. I like ariats but my ass pulls them down on the back. Now the 13mwz rigid that is the stiff denim those do shrink more and I only seen them in one color. So on those I go a size up on waist and length it takes a while to break them in but once broken in those are great daily wear jeans and for the price of $20 some bucks they are hard to beat. The only thing is you got to put in the work to break them in. I like the stack the wranglers give and that they are 100% cotton.

You can find the Wrangler 13mwz jeans in the raw denim for about $21.00. You gotta wash them about three times to shrink them, but it is a good value.

Oh yeah that’s true I’ve seen some for that price and that’s an Awsome value I definitely don’t mind putting them through the wash to break them in.

The department store Wranglers you throw away after a day of working barbed wire. The 20x you wash and wear again and again. Heck, even fought some brush fire in Arizona in my 20x's. Air dry and folded and put away, all my jeans. I agree with you as well on the boot cuts being like bell bottoms. The legs are just too roomy and they look frumpy.

Great video Lionel!! I LOVE Wrangler jeans as well. I'm a size 30 waist as well and I have a few pairs of the slim straight Wranglers from Walmart and they fit awesome. I also have several pairs of the Retros in slim straight and bootcuts and a couple pairs of slim fit cowboy cuts with active flex, which makes a HUGE difference! Although like you said, I do have to size up to 32s in the cowboy cut. Great review!!

I have purchased the Wrangler 5 star from Walmart, and they just randomly fall apart with little use.

Finding boot cut jeans at Wally is impossible! When I get them at Tractor Supply, I have gotten cowboy cut but the dang pockets are so small they're unusable. I need bigger front pockets for my phone, knife and other man stuff.

Thank you very much. This hat is an American hat company 40x steel and it came from the best hat store in Ft worth Texas at the stock yards.

All I wear are wrangler jeans and I send them to the cleaners for heavy starch

I just hate that seat stretches out so bad after not even a full day of wearing and sitting in 13mwz style wranglers. Makes it look like a saggy butt and yes I actually have a butt. I’ve switched to Rock 47 or retro wranglers like the 20X They are much better to me. I’m a 34x36 and really need 38 in some of these for a good stack. Gotta go 35x36 in 13mwz bc they are TIGHT in the legs.

Well everyone is different but I exercise and keep a good diet. I just turned 34 but the key is to stay active and having a steady good diet with a cheat meal at the end of the week that you can enjoy but nothing is in achievable my friend. Let me know if you have any questions.

If you are 32 waste in the regular 5 I definitely recommend 34 waist as far as the length it’s generally the same and all depends on how much you want to stack

@@georgehernandez1502 well remember what makes it look baggy is the cut like relaxed cut will look more baggy then straight leg or slim fit but stacking the length only helps when you don’t want the jeans to ride up to expose the shaft when you’re seating down or on horseback

Yeah I agree with you on that. There’s no reason why it should be different through the models. They would sell more if they kept the sizes consistent and just alter the cut.

Pockets on the cowboy cut are so small. Can’t even fit anything in them.

Straight commercial for Wranglers. Doesn't explain why at the Wrangler website the price varies hugely not commensurate with quality. Nor why the huge price increase in the past three years. While I wear Wranglers I don't hide the truth of them. They have gotten much poorer in quality. Their shirts are ridiculously sized with pockets that aren't even deep enough to hold a pen or glasses, tails that end above your belt, and buttons and button holes that you can't grasp with normal sized fingers. Just flat cheap at expensive prices.
