This single segment run beats Cygnus's 2005 SDA single segment run on Operative (easiest) difficulty by 2 minutes and 7 seconds using 00 Agent (hardest) difficulty instead. 00 Agent removes the auto-aim, increases enemy aggressiveness + accuracy + health, lowers Bond's total health, and changes the level Bad Diplomacy around (less dart ammo, more alert AI). On a plus side the additional score bonuses grant Bond gold rewards such as the Gold PPK, Gold Grenades & Golden Health (albeit these last two are given near the end of the game). There are also less hint cutscenes than on Operative.
Level by level notes:
Trouble in Paradise 1:57 - Very good, only gotten a 1:56 one time.
Precious Cargo 3:52 - Can't really get lower than this with these strats.
Dangerous Persuit 0:57 - Hit a car but it didn't effectively waste time. Very good.
Bad Diplomacy 1:16 - Haven't gotten lower than this in attempts.
Cold Reception 2:10 - Killing the 5 guys at the bottom of the elevator is necessary, the KS7's they carry can cut Bond's health down so fast and they will chase you into the next room. Trying to run past even one of them is a bad idea since I need to reserve health for the final area. Decryption switch took a second push. Few seconds off of flawless.
Night of the Jackal 2:46 - Got stuck in the kitchen but it really wasted very little time since I always stop and wait a few seconds for the guy to follow me around the corner anyway (he will kill you if you ignore him). Fast Jackal fight, no irritating grenades shot at me and she decided to run to the right after only 2 snipes which seems random. Solid time.
Streets of Bucharest 6:56 - Very good driving portion, two very small collisions. Tank section was great. Great time.
Fire & Water 2:23 - Extra lucky pump room top floor, enemies died quickly. Close to personal best.
Forbidden Depths 6:55 - Very solid as it usually is.
Poseidon 2:22 - Random AI in the room after the first load, explosive barrels didn't assist me much. Can be ~6 seconds faster when everything goes correctly.
Mediterranean Crisis 3:36 - This level is a common run killer. A single missed shot on my part can sometimes lead to death. Messed up cutting a lock. Quick kills on Zoey's captors. Had good health so I skipped last body armor. Few seconds off of perfect.
Evil Summit 3:23 - Another deadly level. The snipers at the start can kill immediately or lead to a death soon after. If I had stayed on the railing after the laser cut the last guard probably would have run into the pit and died so I most likely wasted time there but I was afraid of getting shot to death by a surviving guard. Solid time.
I say "solid", "very good", and "great" a lot in these comments but all these levels truly were clean with preferable luck overall and very few mistakes. Next thing I stream will be Nightfire, starting off casual.

I didn't realise that you can simply run away from most of the enemys.
LOL at the end Malprave is all "NOO! Take me with you!" And then boom she dies lol. Then Zoe is all "I've got you James!" James is all "Sweet Zoe!"

Great run man! This is one of my all time favorite games and I'm just getting into speed-running it. One thing however: In "Cold Reception", you definitely DO NOT have to sit at the bottom of the elevator and wait for them. I usually have plenty of health from the first part of the level so I quickly kill the first guy looking a way, shoot the second, move up (ignore the health vest) and shoot the next two from close range. You're right you do need to kill them but there's a much faster way of doing that. My fastest time on Cold Reception is 1:56. I'll try and post a video to show you what I do at that part. Keep it up! i learned a lot!
Encounter Bloch (otherwise pump room won't load), go down one floor and jump from the box to the top of the alarm switch (easier than it looks), carefully walk off onto the rail, back up a little and jump to the light sconce below the other railing, jump onto the rail and onto the ladder. This trick only saves like 5 seconds in distance if you do it very quickly, but prevents damage and having to kill enemies on 00 Agent. 3rd floor early in pump room is a much bigger time saver.
Wow that was fast. Some of the short cur you took I would've never thought of. I already beat it but I'm trying to beat it in agent mode, unlock all the weapons, and get the 007 bonus.
After all these years my 6 year old self was only stuck on mission 5? I thought I was almost done!
holy fucking nostalgia... this was the 1st game that i played on 6th gen, i miss 5th and 6th gen, those were the days, now games are shit, if only all of these old games were available on pc so that i could have all of my games in 1 place and play them all to their max :(
Very rarely do you see a speedrunner with a time he/she is truly content with. Congrtualations on reaching that point :) Now play Timesplitter Future Perfect because I can't seem to find any record of anyone who runs it SS, lol.

Man I remember playing the SHIT out of this game. I think I beat it like once because that last level was always a pain in my ass. I liked Nightfire and Everything or Nothing more though. Also Bond looks...really weird in this game....

Yeah I am definitely 100% pleased with this run, speed wise and aesthetically.
I love they slow bullets you can actually see moving along the screen. Ridiculous. James Bond is here!

The bullets aren't slow actually, what you see are tracers showing where the bullet went/came from.

PS2 should be able to do every trick in this run, it came out before the Gamecube version.

Big yes, this is my (any many others) favorite Bond multiplayer game. The Gamecube version has bots.

Multiplayer wise AUF has a million more options than Nightfire. You can custom everything: weapon sets, movement speed, modifiers, health, teams, modes, etc. Also the overall feeling of shooting is much better in AUF and I prefer the clarity of the graphics too. You will need to get platinum medals on single player levels to unlock everything in multiplayer but it's not difficult with a guide.

The only thing is that the GameCube version is the only one with bots. The PlayStation 2 version doesn't have them, and I'm not sure about the XBox version.
How do you that trick on the construction level (forgot the name, sorry)? Is it GC only thing? Cause I only have the PS2 version.
