My 2 day visit to Portola in 2010 to check out their annual Railroad Days event, chase a few freights to Williams Loop on Saturday and then chasing the special from Portola to Oroville lead by GP20 WP 2001 (the first GP20 built by EMD) on the point pulling a variety of colorful passenger cars to Oroville before being pulled off to their continuing trip to Emeryville. Single camera views, no wind sock so please bare with the wind noise.

Great memories! Dad and I were up there for both the 2010 and 2011 runs, I doubt we will ever see that again.

Great video Mike, and boy did the 2001 look small next to the Amtrak GE's.
Although this run took place this century, there's no chance UP/AMTK would allow a locomotive from a museum to lead this excursion in the present day. It's a shame, but that's the reality. Enjoyed the video!

Which part, the beginning? I was in the museum yard. They have rolling stock parked everywhere, so it's hard to get a far away wide view.
