I like that the complete "Culture" section of their hometown Ondres' wikipedia entry deals only with the Duplantier family.

this songs me cry , i remember reading that the tappin riff is supposed to be like an alarm clock , in repeat (repetitive riffs and patterns are one of gojira trademarks ) signaling the Global warming ..the only other songs that have that effect is "low land" to watch with the video about the death of their mom during the recording of the album magma ,when you know it's her represented in the clip ..It's intense..other than that check out one of their best livr perf "oroborus " live eurockeene 2009 ..younger Gojira

I love Gojira for their catchy riffs, the occasional polyrhythms, the tempo shifts and Joe's voice. But there's something about this band that really makes me feel a certain way. Like a primal courage inside me, if I may say. Another great, honest reaction, btw! 🤘🏾

I like the unconventional rhythm on this track. It's different and definitely stands out. The chorus was just strait fire! Yeah, this was a cool song.

Seriously what are the odds! I literally just posted a picture on my Community page of me, my guitarist and Joe Duplantier at Silver Cord Studios. Then I hit the home button on KZread and your reaction pops up! His studio is around the block from where we jam in Queens and we see him all the time. He knows my guitarist from when he played drums in Agnostic Front so Joe invited us to come hang out. We're definitely going to be recording with him soon. But seriously he's such an awesome and down to earth human being! Awesome reaction as always though. Joe's brother is such an amazing drummer too. There's wayyyyy to much talent in that family haha. There's a video of them in 2018 playing a show in Poland in front of 750,000 people. It's absolutely insane how huge the crowd is. I almost sh*t my pants playing to 500 people. If I ever got to play a show infront of that many people I literally sh*t my pants, piss myself self and violently projectile vomit non stop for our entire set haha There's a video on here of my guitarist playing some festival in Europe back when he was in Agnostic Front to a crowd of 150,000 people and he says after the first 100 feet or so of crowd everything just fades into a mush of people so it's not too bad. I'm still like, yeah no I'd still pee, poop and projectile puke for a half hour straight 😂

You asked for emotionally stirring, my father passed Christmas before last, i listened to Fade In/Fade Out by Nothingmore until I could get through it without crying, I was listening to it on repeat for months, i even read the lyrics at his funeral. Give it a listen sometime

Fun fact: the Silver Cord Studio belongs to the Duplantier brothers, so this is basically the band's rehearsal room. 🙂

I loved the music and, because I sometimes have trouble understanding lyrics, I looked them up. Really deep and meaningful. And, this song was on an album released in 2005. These days, it's like a slap in the face.

Thank you for this, great reaction. You are correct, their passion clearly shows through their live performances. Gojira is one of those bands that you can listen to forever. There are so many intricacies and nuances to each song, during each listen you can hear something new. Next one, Gift of Guilt, live at Brixton Academy! ❤️🤘

I love this band so much. They make me hope that not everyone has gone loopy. They are my sanity. The music is very heavy and it lifts the heaviness from me and takes it away. I feel nothing but calmness and serenity. They truly make me happy. Joe has the most brutally beautiful voice ever.

Huge Gojira fan, and rarely coming back to this one. Great track but a tad too repetitive... Next up i'd suggest The way Of all Flesh, either live at Garorock or album, or how about a double reaction? So can see how close to the album they are with epic stage presence. Would be absolutely awesome to see that!
