I sincerely love and appreciate that you guys are still following Rens music. Not only are you my favorite reactors but Ren is my favorite artist. He means so much to so many people around the world and it's great to see more people spreading his messages and his story. He truly is one of a kind in this generation and not someone to be looked over. He does plan on doing a live version of this as well! I've been struggling with several chronic illnesses, including Fibromyalgia, for over 13 years. Sorry to hear your mom has had to deal with this. Ren holds a very special place in my heart for opening up and sharing his story. Thank you so much for reacting to his songs and being so compassionate. I'm so very happy the reaction community has embraced him. Believe it or not, there are so many folks out there that could care less about the day to day struggle and toll it can take on you. #hope 💜

@@SarahLev29 Thank you. So sorry you are having to deal with FMS. I have Rx for nerve & muscle pain. I also attend a chronic pain group every Wed. We share our struggles, learn meditation techniques, and support each other. The thing that has helped most, is to try not to sit and dwell in misery. Find something that keeps your mind busy. I wish there was some miracle cure...but there isn't. I have found the coping skills are the best "medicine" so far. Keep the hope that some day there will be a cure. 💜

You mentioned the cool "plucking" sound. Ren has a video on his Patreon account which shows how he created that. Basically he took the Vera Hall vocal sample, added a tuner to it so that it followed his chord changes, then added a filter that just picked up the highest peaks/notes. The result is that cool plucking synth sound. Yet more proof that the guy is a freaking genius !

I'm not into rap- I'm a complete rock girl (ok old bat really) and I absolutely adore Ren his music transcends genre bias.

He is a god send, whether he knows it or not, to so many people. I see that all of his fans have found him when they needed him the most. I found Hi Ren when I was feeling the most lost I had ever felt in 44 years. As I went down the rabbit hole, I discovered just how similar our paths were, minus the excelling music career. I’ve been struggling with a mystery illness that doctors said the same thing. Finally, after years of misdiagnosis….And finding a doctor to actually listen to, they found lesions on my ocular nerves and brain. He is an inspiration for so many reasons, and I believe they need to make a movie about his life and what he has been through and what he has overcome and still persists.

Just curious if you two have listened to the "Chapter" videos Ren uploaded once a day for the entire week leading up to this song's release? If not, I highly recommend them. Ren really goes into so much detail of what he went through to get to where he is today, and the journey is just so emotional and beautiful. Great reaction, guys!

Love this one. Really hope it charts. Will be the first time a song about these illnesses ever has if it does. He is such a good ambassador for those suffering invisibly.

Lyrics " I carved a hole in my chest" was actually a thing he did. In one over his 8 part biographies he's just finished Ren said that he picked up an old TV and smashed it on the ground, the screen smashed and one pice was like a knife so he sta88ed himself in the chest to feel alive. Ren, we love you dearly ❤

That "plucky" sound is actually the sample "trouble so hard" lyric synthed out. A tuner and a filter so only little moments come thru. Basically ren just going mad scientist on a sample and coming up with a ridiculously catchy sound

Parts of this song just make your gut hurt to hear and brought tears to my eyes. But I smiled so big when he threw out his arms talking about beauty and the gift of gold. I thought that would be the highlight and then he began the "Lord I forgive you" through "yours to hold" that hit even harder and made me happy in the same way when NF said "Mama, I forgive you" Ren deserves all the wonderful things that have been happening. I really hope his health continues to improve. I also hope this video will bring a lot of attention to the health struggles of all those suffering daily and feel forgotten or ignored.

I am so grateful Ren never gave up on himself. I get the bitterness from unanswered prayers. This song was straight from the heart, so the impact for me is tremendous.

With great power comes great responsibility, and Ren is truly a hero! He is using his growing powers and platform for so much more than simply creating brilliant music. Ren has said that he always had this feeling that he was meant to change the world for the better. So much that he defiantly yelled a challenge to evil into an empty room. And then he got sick… Ren has now shared the full story of his health journey in 8 video chapters leading up to the release of this song and what a journey it has been. If anyone hasn’t already watched them, I highly recommend you do. With all the chapters he is showing immense strength in sharing his story that is so hard to tell, being vulnerable and telling it because he hopes it will help others and raise awareness. After having listened to Ren's Chapter Series Intently and multiple times, this track just encapsulates his story so well and serves as musical accompaniment for The Chapters. Ren's experiences are very familiar to me to say the least, as is often the case with many of his supporters. Ren's success is so deserved and I do truly hope it continues. It is a difficult and wonderful song to hear ! I feel more and understand more every time I listen to it. The phrase that hit my heart is the teeth and the relief of cold steel, Just the expression on his face makes it very real. So much pain with no wound no visible cause. But if you created the wound that would be affirming of the pain ! Breaks my heart ! And funny my heart has to go out to his mother and Sister to. I can not Imagine my child enduring all Ren has went through. Being a single farther of 2 I had non of these issues just the ones that 2 teenage girls brought !! I could really see the emotions (and maybe even past pain/hurt) get to Eric near the end - right when the ‘Lord I forgive you’ part hit. You could see it in his eyes and feel it by the need to curb the emotions with some help from Thor’s Get-Hammered😂 Seemed like a much needed swallow in that moment. But just know that it’s a Superhero kind of thing to be able to allow those emotions to come through. There’s no shame in it, at all. Enjoyed the reaction and seeing you guys appreciate that this isn’t just music… it’s therapy, it’s a vital message, it’s much needed awareness, and it’s a lifeline for many who struggle and are looking for hope and a way to hold on (like ‘the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope’). Honestly, it’s a breath of fresh air in this current mainstream music/diss track state.

Sorry going through something deep that is 14 years long and I'm finally inspired to lose weight and allow myself to hope that I can find love some day. I convince myself that I'll never find happiness and even worse I believed it and beyond that I convinced myself that that was okay and that I'll just deal with it and be happy the rest of my life even though it was all fake😊

Chronic illness here & doctor to doctor is no lie. Still trying to get appropriate treatment. The only good thing has been my ability to advocate for my child. I get ignored & passed around (genetic connective tissue disorder & MCAS) but they listen to me about my child (she’s 12 with the same disorder & POTS).
