I remember him for bashing Simon, and saying that he (Garfunkel), had created 'a monster' in Paul Simon. Garfunkel was horribly jealous of Simon's solo success.

I’m sure everyone will suggest all the best songs and there are plenty. Watch any of them from their legendary “Concert from Central Park.” They’re amazing live and stay pretty true to the original studio, plus it’s great to watch them perform live. One of my faves is “Scarborough Faire” (Parsley Sage Rosemary and Thyme.)

Simon & Garfunkel were a huge phenomenon in the 1960's and had many big hits at the same time that the British Invasion was happening. Their song called Scarborough Fair is a masterpiece, please select the long album version. After this song in 1970, Bridge Over Troubled Water, they soon went for solo careers. Paul Simon had great success and several #1 hits. Art Garfunkel had only one successful hit, a cover called I Only Have Eyes For You. Great version of the song. In the mid 70's, the duo got together for one more album together and had a hit with the only single from the album, My Little Town.

Just FYI the surname Garfunkel is of Jewish origins, particularly German Jewish. Art had a long solo career after the duo broke up. Though Paul Simon had more commercial success, Art's albums were full of his beautiful soaring vocals! This is one of my top 20 lifetime favorite songs. The message and the delivery make my 💜 soar while bringing me to tears every time I hear it. I sang a solo of this song in 1970 in a high school talent competition. I didn't win the competition but I was very proud of my efforts and I didn't care because I was singing that song

Art Garfunkel is the singer for most of the song. Paul Simon harmonizes during the ‘Sail on Silver Girl’ portion. Paul Simon is one of the greatest modern poet/songwriters we have today, and Art Garfunkel‘s voice is a gift from the gods. Some other songs that you can hear them sing in harmony are The Sound of Silence, I Am a Rock, The Boxer, Scarborough, Fair, and one of my favorites, America.
