Fellow Malaysians, correct me if I'm wrong. We have incorporated KFC into our festivities meal that it's almost a staple for celebrations here in Malaysia. We're a diverse country with many religions and ethnicity and so when comes Hari Raya Aidilfitri - you'll see KFC being served. Chinese New Year - KFC Deepavali - KFC Christmas - KFC Pesta Keamatan - KFC Hari Gawai - KFC It will definitely not a birthday do without KFC being served. 🙏🙏🙏

KFC is always my favourite fast food ever. I went to Barcelona, and well they have a same style as KCF in Malaysia, but definitely no nasi lemak dish. In France is completely different and more expensive. Miss KFC in Malaysia!!!

Absolutely. To eat some western style food every now and again is a must. That's why I was so happy with the mashed potatoes, gravy, and ice cream and jelly 🤣

No KFC in the world can go near KFC in Malaysia. BTW, I am a Malaysian living in London. Your video is making me homesick! 🙄

Traditionally/kampung styles, anchovies was part of sambal and its called ‘sambal bilis’. But over the times, people turn to separate it so they can keep the anchovies more lasting in the stall..

Actually with my 30 years of local KFC experience, there are few KFC joints they stood out more then the others, as they taste better and the chickens are fried right. Although franchisee joints should have similar products but in fact they are not. The source of chicken meat, the frying machine temperature and oils etc really makes one better than the others, sometimes by a mile.

Yeah that's the thing about KFC is that it's so different from store to store too, a lot of the time.

The chicken at Malaysia mcd and KFC is nice due to being freshly sourced from local chicken farms. Don't think England has similar.. Likely they imported from quite a distance hence why the taste of the chicken is different. Also Asians love their chicken, hence why more effort will be put in to ensure their quality! Westerners like England would prefer their steaks more.

KFC originated from Kentucky, U.S. Yes it all makes sense to source chicken locally but the flavor is not just in the meat itself but how it is prepared, the spices used and the way they're cooked.

I still enjoy KFC ori recipe until today. KFC n A&W r few of d first fast food franchise restaurants in Malaysia since d 1970s. By d early 1980s, McDonald restaurants arrived in Malaysia n more n more fast food franchise restaurants opened up in Malaysia.

Wow that's a long time. It's well worth it here, but not in many places.

That sambal is normally called Ikan bilis sambal for any nasi lemak..to save cooking time and preps some restaurants would just cook the anchovies together in the sambal ..but its stil there..the whole complete set. But if their anchovies is cook and prep seperately then u wil have sambal bawang which is onions sambal. Also good and tasty though. Yup many types of sambal we have here. 😂 enjoy Dan👌

G'day Dan. I always enjoyed my KFC visit when I travel to KL. Saddened to hear one of the KFC stores in Bukit Bintang shut down but I always enjoyed the KFC adjoining Plaza Low Yat . Normally KFC stores here in Melbourne Australia not so inspiring. I also loved Jalan Alor..food heaven.

@@DanvsFood ya.. but for some Europeans and westerners, anchovies got strong fish taste and they hate it. When I was small, anchovies being a normal side dish for common Malaysians who are not afford to eat chicken or meat... but nowadays the price is expensive and it comes with grades. Sambal in nasi lemak used to known as sambal ikan bilis (anchovies sambal) since in Malaysia.. we got varieties of sambals.

The reason of the delayed food is due to insufficient worker. They are operating with minimum workforce right now. This happen after Covid. FnB industries is in a bit turmoil but slowly recovering. But the impact is still there, because mostly people will think twice if want to work with FnB. You dont find this delay much pre pendemic.

A few days ago I watched a nice british couple trying nasi lemak at McD. Strangely their nasi lemak had anchovies but no peanuts. Maybe it had something to do with nut allergy.

@@purpleluv4ever I wonder why. Maybe when they cleared the tables, they noticed the nuts were often not finished or not eaten. Maybe it has something to do with nut allergy which is becoming more common. In the UK all foods sold must have information whether or not nuts are present. This is to protect people who are allergic to nuts which can be fatal if eaten. For me I prefer anchovies to peanuts.

Ah wow really? It's so oily and fatty, literally you can squeeze the liquid fat out from between the batter and the meat, with bubbles if oil inside. I think it's disgusting in England 🤣 but some people may like that 🙂

Just a recommendation, at McD u can try out spicy chicken McDelux 🍔 burger 🤩. It has a real nice chicken patty as compared to McChicken burger that uses a more ‘nuggetty’ chicken
