Yes the green was lost and i really like that part! I do like the composition on this one too. Super fun to experiment!

try adding layers of normal black in with the pour so you get actual contrast between some of the colors on the canvas

Oh yeah, I totally agree with your comment. Molly, your videos and your art make my life so much better. You can’t feel sad watching your videos, even if you had a very bad day so far. (I‘m German, so sorry if my language isn’t that good. I think you‘ll understand what I mean.😅) I agree with liking the pearl paints by themselves better on a black base. I did one with the pearl puddles on black and wrecked them - so vibrant and beautiful. Definitely looking forward to the video with a pre-painted canvas.👩🏾‍🎨🥰

I used the pearl paints on a white base yesterday. The only color you can see by itself is the yellow, which looks gold. The rest looks like a mother of pearl. Dark is the best background for the pearls. I do love this rainbow piece you did.

Gorgeous painting! I have been dabbling at fluid art for a couple years, watching all types, with only hit and miss success. I came upon one of your Facebook posts and my excitement has been reignited! Your demonstration videos, your instructional commentary, your delightful demeanor has sparked my enthusiasm once again. Today I received an order of Amsterdam black acrylic, Liquitex gloss varnish, and Amsterdam pearls and metallics. Gonna try a colander pour incorporating the techniques you've inspired. BTW, the dripping sound of the paint flowing off the canvas somehow tickles me and brings on a smile. Thank you Molly! 😊

I absolutely love those colours..I could see a witch with her arms held high, doing a water spell in the middle 😮

Have you tried using a pearl mix, then mixing up the same color in regular paint. Try doing this with several colors. I tried it, and the depth of color was spectacular. You were my inspiration, and watching you got me to try my first pour. Now I have stacks of paintings everywhere, and I love it.

Spring has arrived, love the Easter colors the movement is fantastic.

Amsterdam also has the pearls in acrylic ink. You could add a dropper to your pearls in the container that you mix them up in and it makes them even more vibrant. Molly, I love you, I love your art and I love that you always share your experiments with us. And wow, those colors are wonderful. You are awesome

Wow!! Pearlescent paint is magical!! I use color shift paints myself and have found that they work well if you do almost like you did here except use a mix pour of solid color and your pearlescent on top Example: pour solid color, pour pearlescent,pour solid, pour pearlescent… ect. ect.

I did my first pearl pour for Christmas so I used a dark green background, it worked well.

This is the first time I have seen one of your videos! I just adore your personality! I also really appreciate so much how you didn’t just jump into it. Instead, you explained your idea, your process, the reason behind all of it, and the thoughts behind why you wanted to try this,and you told us every single thing you used. I also like how open you are to learn from other peoples’ experiences and the tips that they give you. I have just subscribed! By the way, I noticed the “y’all”. lol I’m Southern, too… born and raised! Here in Jacksonville, FL! lol Anyway, I look forward to watching more of your videos and seeing how you experiment with things and what you learn from them. I tried an open cup with black base and pearl paints. Would love to see your take on it (with your double cup technique?). I reallly liked how the pearl paints blended into one another in the end result.

Thank you very much for using affordable paint! I am on a fixed income and can't afford the oils anymore. TIP: Waterbase house paints are working well for pour painting. They just don't have the same amount of pigment so you wind up with lots of semi-transparent "glaze" effect. It looks like Amsterdam paint is good alternative to expensive Liquitex but I won't buy the 120 ml because they are the same "burping" tube. There is a product called Floetrol which levels acrylic paints, but it will change the viscosity.

I think it turned out really cool Molly!

id love to see you use these color combos on a blowout painting. maybe a good old wave painting. maybe a wave at night. black base, silver, pearl white, this blue combo.

Hi Molly, it is fun to see you experimenting. Here's maybe an extra idea : how about using both the pearls and regular colours in one piece, so that parts of the painting shimmer and other parts don't. I don't know if I'm making any sense, but I think it may be interesting to try
