Everytime I see bedrock minecraft all I can think about is that episode of spongebob where the Krusty Krab got a new owner and it was corporatized where everything looked fine on the outside, but the inside was just a weird gray mush. Also they should make that villager noise the new breeding sound for villagers.

I think this new gamerule should default to false when updating an old world to 1.21, but should also default to true when creating a brand new world or it should default to true no matter what, it's not the first time mojang makes an update that breaks old stuff anyway, so I guess it would be fine

Defaulting to true always would be for the best. As long as that gamerule is there, you can just.. Disable it. If you don't want your old contraptions to be broken that is.

1:39 for those who are solely java players, the resource pack and world files for marketplace content has DRM on it, so you can't simply play/view any stuff in the file explorer.

At the risk of sounding like a 🤓, you can't get struck by thunder. Thunder is the sound that occurs after a lightning strike. That's like saying you got hit by a car's motor juddering and not the car itself (though, scientifically, this isn't the best example, as the car could move regardless of what sounds the engine makes whereas thunder ALWAYS succeeds lightning).

4:03 I actually thought it was just Mojang making it false by default because that's how it always worked and they didn't want to change it. The parity though, that's such a Mojang thing to do though. Instead of fixing the source of a problem, they just go after the product of it and hope it lasts a while. Honestly, I can't tell which one is the case because they are both classic Mojang moments.

I think the reason why Mojang didn't set the gamerule to true by default is because it instantly teleports you, getting rid of the vanilla portal delay, and it ONLY does that when riding an entity, which I think they don't like because it is inconsistent. Mojang could either get rid of the portal delay entirely, or apply the delay regardless if you are riding an entity or not, however the latter will make minecarts not able to "connect" or keep their speed between dimensions, unless they make an exception for them.

this was such a rollercoaster of a video the chillager sounds to then the horse dying out of nowhere then back to talking about pistons

They removed it because it was poisonous to frogs

I feel like the sticky piston should have the new fishton sound and the regular piston should keep the old sound since it fits thematically and most loud redstone builds use more sticky pistons than regular pistons anyway, so it'll fix the sound issue
