Hoarding is when the whole house and yard is cramped with old stuff never to be scrapped sold or processed. don't confuse scrapping with hoarding.
From streetscrapping to housescrapping.... 😜 amazing
I would personally fill that 20 foot bin up and have it delivered to my house. Congratulations for your find.

Ben, that's the perfect house to just make an offer on the entire property and then go through it all one video at a time!! Then you could do a house renovating series and finally sell it off for a huge profit!!
I feel another scrap marathon coming up. It would be great to so you dive into all this vintage material.
Never been so jealous in my entire life, looking forward to the next dozen episodes
I wouldgo right back there..I would stop somewhere and get me a trailer..fill the.. van and a trailer...I'm going nuts. Your ship has come in dude don't miss it

Absolutely an amazing vintage find. Can't wait for part 2
Ben your excitement is contagious looking forward to many videos to come. Thanks
OMG what an amazing score. You could spend a year scrapping all of that. I helped clean out a hoarder house once. It's so hard for people who don't suffer from hoarding syndrome to understand. And we scrappers need to be careful that we don't become hoarders. Looking forward to seeing what you find to keep in your collection.

I think hoarding syndrome is complex, many possible underlying causes. I respect hoarders but there's a point I think they may take it over the top and I don't understand that level. But this guy was also an electrical repair man, he worked for the military ordinance factory as an electrical engineer, there's a hundred super technical books on electronics he had, I think he was a genius but an eccentric

@@eWasteBen ironically, it doesn't look like he repaired anything. However, also ironically, it looks like a bomb went off in his house. The thing is, he could probably tell you where everything was.
I'm glad you're recovering all of that e waste. I fix vintage electronics, too. The only non-scrap value of that haul would be tearing down every PC to component parts and selling pieces over many years on eBay. That would require selling the items as untested or tons of labor testing components. I see no museum pieces there. For museum pieces you're looking for complete items that were expensive in their day. Most of that stuff was mid to low end in its day. People who are creating vintage PCs want to build something that they could not afford back in the day, so the highest end components are what you're looking for. For example I recently bought a top of the range Socket 370 processor from 20 years ago and I paid about $70 US for it. You're lucky to get $5 (scrap value after fees) for most Socket 370 processors. Hope this provides some insight into the importance of recycling. Most people buy low end or slightly better than low end junk that's good for a few years and is then is forever worth scrap value.
You are just the right man, not only to appreciate it yourself, but showing off the guys stash for the world to see. Cool stuff man.
Another great video. Can't wait to see part two!
Id love to save some of those beautiful old systems from being scraped You break my heart ben

@@eWasteBen You will get more for selling them complete than scrapping them. Please look into selling them complete before you scrap these old systems. There are a lot of collectors for these old systems and some are worth several hundred a piece.

Wow Ben, you've certainly hit the jackpot. to bad they did not call you 1st. Can't wait for part 2!
Finally got time to enjoy the video.. thanks Ben always awesome
Wow, I've worked with hoarders in my hypnosis practice. The condition doesn't make sense to non hoarders but all I have is compassion for them. Most clients finish in a few sessions. Hoarding is incredibly complicated. Hoarders have to think of a year of weekly appointments. In the end, I'd bet the hoarder would be glad you are making good use of that stash.
Freaking unreal!! Better get to stacking that stuff Ben, that opportunity will pass to quickly to wait. Congrats brother!!!
I agree with you Ben, you've pretty much just said what I said in my first comment, you were supposed to get these, they were supposed to go to somebody who would truly appreciate them, save some and process the rest properly! I hope you got yourself back there straight away, unload, fill up, unload and fill up while you can!!
I know this video is old but I think you are absolutely correct this guy wanted his collection to go to you and people who appreciate it
Gratz Ben! Very good.
