Legion was such an amazing story experience for me. For years the Burning Legion has been built up as one of the biggest threats in WoW, so when they announced the expansion I was worried they would blow the climax of a fifteen year story. But going to the Broken Shore and seeing the Legion kill Varian, Vol'jin, and Tyrion with relative ease, only to follow it up by killing Ysera and revealing that the Titans, who we believed watched over us, were slain by Sargeras millenia ago made it truly feel like an unwinnable war to me. Even killing Gul'dan, which took a whole rebellion and campaign, felt hollow when we knew that he was merely a disposable pawn to the Legion. All the character's from Warcraft history joining the Order Hall campaigns, culminating in the return of Turaylon and Alleria, made me feel like the entire world of Azeroth was teaming up to fight this threat, and the powerups from the artifact weapons made me feel like a powerful hero who could help lead them to victory. Beating Kil'jaeden, the face of the Legion to many, and seeing Argus appear in the sky made me regain hope that we could stop them once and for all. Then finally resurrecting the Titans at the very Seat of the Pantheon itself, and for the briefest moment seeing the fallen Titan Sargeras himself, who until then had only been spoken of or heard, made me feel like we went to the ends of the universe itself to finally beat the endless armies of the Burning Legion and stop the crusade once and for all. When Velen took that sigh of relief, I felt that too. This expansion was the perfect climax to the story of WoW, and to me will always mark the finale of WoW lore.

Facts. Also felt like the only expansion where the player didn’t feel like a rando Mary Sue. They managed to make the player feel like an important character instead of a random no name adventurer who can kill anybody. It got a bit cringe at times but generally felt a lot cooler

Im got so sad when Varian died and happy i could avenge him and kill guldan, i didn't play wow since, cuz the lore is just shit, and anduin is also not the leader i really like but i respect since he's Varian sun, if one day the legion or void or light invade, i will return

I always found it sad that illidan was misunderstood. He became a demon to fight demons. A sacrifice misunderstood.

I think it challenges that idea in some ways that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. He still managed to hold onto his sense of self and continue doing some noble things along the way. Some selfish too, but mostly noble. Minus the two Night elves he may have killed at the well of eternity when they wouldn't let him pass. I was waiting for this redemption arc all the way back since the Frozen Throne. I was very happy to see the writers get his story arc back on track after the randomness that was The Burning Crusade.

I really hope that this was blizzard's true intention from the start -> in the trilogy book, where the sundering happens 10000 years ago, Ilidan's motives were a bit questionable back then and they made it look like he was a fanatic a bit, without even at least hinting his true intentions, so up until TBC, its kind of understandable how everyone acted... Although in the Frozen Throne, he was definitely doing everyone a favor, trying to topple Icecrown... meh, lets just say in the end it worked out great and gave him justice :)

@@DemonKnight85 To be fair at first Illidan wanted power to impress Tyrande but she always had eyes for Furion. As he was gaining that power, he saw that Sargeras was going to destroy the world. It proves that Illidan had a strong will as the fel magic did not corrupt him as it happened with Kil'Jaeden, Archimonde, and Kael'thas. I don't think Illidan was seen as an evil person. Nothing from the story even before Legion shows he was. The Burning Crusade was not random, they just left it out...imagine doing Black Temple and you find out Illidan was trying to vanquish the demons...yet you are going to kill him. That wouldn't be right.

Legion felt like Blizzard really pulled out everything and dug deep to tell a compelling story. A beautiful swan song before passing away, once and for all. BFA feels like they realized 'oh shit, we're still here. Ummm quick, pound out a script over the weekend and just run with it.'

bfA needs a cut like this, I find there is far little details compared to Legion and the time between story scenes is too large. Maybe if it gets cut together at the end like this people will appreciate it more.

Dude what an epic freaking expansion. The Night Elves, The Draenei, all the legends of Warcraft 2 and The Burning Crusade tied together. Hats off to Blizzard on this one. I wonder if we will ever see another one like this

I liked this version! Separating everything into different chapters made a good flow. The draenor recap was short and didnt feel out of place this time! I liked how you cut in the growing of the Arcan'dor as well. I liked tjat you edited the silithus cutscenes to show the mining and the bird once, flows much better that way, like how you edited the broken shore cutscenes. The pacing and editing of this shows pretty much the whole story! Good job! At about 44:02 there is a minor blip in the noise but that was the only one I noticed. Also the credits were a nice touch, props to the creator of that one. I look forward to your eventual BFA video one day!

This movie was awesome, thank you for making it. You gotta make some more. This movie helped fill me in on a lot of details regarding the history of the World of Warcraft. I’ve only just started to get into the lore of Warcraft, but your videos have made my experience of it more worthwhile. Make more! P.S Also thanks cause now I have another novel I’m looking forward to reading. I’ll be reading World of Warcraft: Illidan soon.

I've only ever fully leveled and played as Alliance in my 10.5 years of WoW (other than a few low level Horde alts here and there) so this was great to be able to see the all the Horde cinematics that I never get to see. Hey man, the work you do is very appreciated, saves me a lot of time trying to figure out the order of these cinematics.

I really loved the Legion X-pac... so much sorrow and fighting together was amazing... The class halls...

This entire expansion felt like a movie experience and the Battle of the Five Armies was a nice touch. Legion is a great expansion with a compelling story, similar to Wrath of the Lich King.

Very well done! Great game movie. Your editing skills are fantastic. For me, the Warcraft story naturally ends here. With the destruction of the Legion and the defeat of Sargeras the story comes to a long awaited end. Anything they do after this will just feel tacked on to milk the old cow. Legion was one of the best expantions content wise and it should end gracefully. GG!

You're right, BfA is a rekindling of a new chapter. Legion ended the WC3 arc. I think now BfA is somethign that will help update not only the world, but bring in a new over arcing threat with the Void. I am excited for where this goes, if only they can avoid thinking of just money and keep the story coherent and organic to the lore.

MrMusicGuy1980 Nah. Legion ended the Warcraft 1 arc, since they were a HUGE factor behind the Orcs vs Humans BS. They were just behind the curtains until WC3. The Old Gods and Void Lords don’t feel as threatening as the Legion, nor will they ever be.

Блин, легион был реально очень грустным и в тоже время таким эпичным дополнением! Столько смертей, столько событий, победа над Легионом. Я считаю, что это самое лучшее дополнение, вышедшее после Лич Кинга.

I love illidans story and lore behind him. One of the best characters in the Warcraft and WoW universe like Arthas and his warglaives are badass.

Good editing, especially during the Burning shore scenario. Though I thought for sure that there was more too the Illidan storyline after the birth scene in Val'Sharah.

Masterful editing. Obviously there is variation in style between blizz cinematics, but the places you chose to cut together are so good I ended feeling like I was watching a real film. Thanks for helping showcase the amazing storytelling!

Great video sequencing, bad audio and no subs, sad. Well, still no progress since summer break I guess? You could just take the old subtitles from old vid and put them into this new video first (adjusted for timesyncing), and then at a later time fill in the subs for the new parts (or even someone else could help you as seen here) no? If you had the old subs put in, at least the amount of work would be smaller, and people would have already helped you with the subtitles for the new parts.
