Seem like great people! You can tell Colin is old school and wont convey his true feelings for Danny in front of people. Congrats to their dealership on the award. Seems like they truly care about their customers.

Its not difficult to see Colin doesn’t like the camera , but Colin is a solid man and I love to see his passion for racing

One of the very few, genuine bike riders that is a dealer and very straight up guy. He's into the riding and repairing older bikes which is a rare quality in any bike shop these days so hats off to him and his lovely lady.

Colins a champion and as an experienced technician myself couldnt agree more. Geelong harleys point of difference is in service. Theres not many dealership owners youd see making positive contribution out the back on the tools ... Immense respect for this and dealership of the year award absolutely well deserved by the entire team at geelong harley

Sadly, here in the US this is not the way our dealerships are headed. Family owned shops are quickly disappearing to multi owned dealerships with no relationship being built with customers.

Same here in Australia. I own Harley’s, ducatis and ktm. It hard as hell to find independents, but that’s what I try and do. I drive 5 hours and past 2 other Ducati dealers, to keep it independent

HD is shit on service and crazy on the labor prices and not to mention stoned face employees who act as though they are doing you a favor by taking your hard earned money, In Ohio and now here in Central Florida I have seen this. I'll go to mom and Pops if I can everytime. Good for these 2 who still believe in the Customer is the most important.

Harley-Davidson is going to run great people, such as Colin and his wife completely away from their franchise! I have a custom Motorcycle shop in Chattanooga Tennessee, and after the Covid-19 lock downs it's been a nightmare keeping it going and it's just a little mom and pop shop. Political bullshit is driven small business owners, under like never before. The only thing I can see helping, is a change of direction in leadership not only here in America but Everywhere. Sorry for speaking my mind, but I can definitely feel their frustration in a number of ways. Great video brother thanks for sharing.

I'm here in Dallas and I ordered several neck gaiters from Geelong's website and I requested the one and only Collin Jones autograph them... and he did! The dude is awesome. I wish his shop was here. He seems like a very fair guy and a guy that respects the customer not withstanding Danny whatshisname... Hayes is it?

Great interview, Col and Andrea are top notch. HD's laying down some strong arm tactics, Geelong HD will comply, perhaps a bit reluctantly, but only because they love the business and make HD look good.

It's a shame that Harley wants all their stores to look the same. Part of the fun of visiting dealerships is the uniqueness of them. If they're all the same than what's the point of traveling to different dealerships.

Nailed it. They were fun to be with!

As a newer rider, I was one of those people disappointed with the lack of LAMS bikes from Harley. Now the Nightster, a bike I was interested in, starts at $26000, and requires three years of experience to ride. The lack of more affordable, smaller displacement models drives newer riders straight back to the Japanese manufacturers.

they tried that with the street 500 but it was such a piece of shit that Harley stopped selling it, maybe if it wasn't built in India from cheap parts it might of worked

​@2502stokebloke The dealers put on added bling that no body wanted or asked for. Then upped the prices, and wouldn't deal. Now you know why they languished in the showroom.

Forcing the dealers to renovate their dealerships into those mc Donald’s like standard cubes will kill most of the mom and pop stores that have so much passion for their clients, make you feel like you are home and offer that extra it of service, a large dealership can never provide. Very sad.

Such an awesome couple. Cole is salt of the earth. Thanks for the interview.

Hi 👋, I have heard a lot about Harley dealerships struggling because they’re being forced to change the shops layout and put a vast amount of money into there showrooms , not a good attitude, This guy is well known for servicing, and looking after its customers, I think rocket man is been there, 😂. From what he was saying. I have had a 1200 sportster . FXRS 1340 , Softail Deuce, 1999/2000. , the 350 looks a nice bike, ride safe, Phil from the moulin France,

I bought my first and only Harley off Greg and Andrea back in 1994 and saw how hard they worked It disappoints me to hear the organisation being Harley Davidson are making successful dealerships outlay huge amounts of money to meet their standards and basically rebrand That’s like saying you’re the best and here is your award now change because you’re not good enough Be careful Harley Davidson other companies have done this and have lost the core to the detriment of the brand

Nice interview. Nice people and indeed give Danny space and vice versa. In Holland there is not a single dealer with an award (anymore). The good mechanics have all started for themselves. Service in The Netherlands is a drama. Loose hanging parts on your bike. A renewed front tire on 0.8Bar when you get home. Also diagnosis is strange for them! There is a lot of room for improvement here. I passed through Italy on the way back from 120th Harley celebration in Budapest and stopped at HD Bolzano. Well....that didn't look like anything at all. Geelong HD is a palace compared to that.

Life is good.. I just learned the History of Colin and Andrea recently from an Australian youtube channel, Hogs Cogs and Two Aussie Flogs

They remind me of a couple that ran a dealership here in Cincinnati. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to buy a bike. They are missed …

I bought my harley from geelong, and service is the best ive encountered, if he says im going to be there to pick up youre bike up which is 3 hours away he is there bang on time, when youre bike is delivered back and he says that he has road tested it, you no that there isnt going to be any problems. The sales staff are pretty good as well, you feel confident in purchase and welcomed into the geelong harley davidsons family....

Great vid guys- Great to see Geelong HD and hear the great stories and side of the dealerships. One of the best dealers in Oz was Morgan & Wacker in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast - originally founded around 1902 by the Wacker family selling machinery and then was the oldest independent HD dealer in Oz until they sold out to the Moto Group when HD took all independents over 15 years ago now.. Yep HD do want all stores to look and smell the same and that was part of the reason they did not want independents who were distributors and sales - they want to control end to end exactly like McDonalds so they get their maximum profits like most blood sucking companies!

What a nice surprise! Nice to see youtubers on cross sites. Great job!

Very good Interview. I laughed when he said he couldnt get a Harley to lock up the brakes before ABS as I did.mine right as I was able to wreck. Also from what I've heard the 350 they built for the Rider course is strictly for the riding course not for consumer sells.

I've been buying and riding Harley Davidson's for almost 40 years, and Geelong Harley Davidson is the best HD Dealer in Australia. It's just like going to an old school bike shop, they are so helpful, and their service department cannot be faulted. I don't even live in Victoria.

First time I've seen Col not really want to be there. Some great insights there.... Interesting regarding the dealership upgrade, Mercededs went around Australia about 5 years ago building 3 to 5 Million dollar dealerships... Warrambool, Vic a classic example.

It doesn’t have to be sold. Good people are obvious and Colin and Andrea are good people. 👍 Love to both of you.

You guys have to come to Florida to see Berts. Hardly Davison dealerships. He has Bert's Barracuda in Clearwater, Florida and Berts. Black Widow in port, Charlotte. Bert is always over the top in everything he does. And this is why his dealerships are literally the best in the world. You have to come see both of them

I hope the Smoke was not too bad in Canada from all the Forrest Fires.. I could see and smell smoke in Michigan .. Indiana ,Ohio .. and Pennsylvania

It was hardly noticeable here in a Milwaukee at all. Barely if you looked at the horizon over Lake Michigan. Otherwise not.

Don't know how you put up with Danny but very entertaining I must say. Best wishes.

They are definitely an entertaining couple - they Rep Oz well. Col always looks like he's about ready to 'bust out'- Andrea on tenterhooks. Great interview all-round... Cheers to All.

Good interview. As a Scot I see the Aus-US mindset difference.

I concur with Colin’s comment on Gasoline Alley. They are A1. I’d also comment that not only is MDB entertaining and giving publicity to GHD, but it allows us to see behind the curtain in the workshop and the great work they do. If I was in Victoria I’d take my bike there. One more thing, you can ride the whole length of Australia through the middle, not one dealer. The only dealer in Alice has gone. There is a limited market due to sparse population, but a lot of passing traffic. Asking dealers to spend the money to build McDonalds stores is not practical, but where does that leave the rider, coming through doing a 3,000k ride and needs a tyre or an oil change, or has a breakdown.
