When my brother in-law was young, they announced the Rolling Stones would be playing the Super Bowl, and he scoffed and said, "Couldn't they have gotten someone more popular?" His dad turned to him and said, "Only if they resurrect two of the Beatles!"

not in a movie, this song IS a movie. It’s an epic film on the history of man.
One of my favorite songs. Check out the lyrics and you’ll understand who “he” is. 😉
This jewel was recorded 55 years ago, in 1968. And it’s much better than most of the music nowadays 🤯

Iconic to see Brian Jones (playing the shakers) in this video...six months later, he was found drowned in his swimming pool with lotsa drugs in his system. Don't know who the brotha was on the congas, but he was layin' it down!! And Jojo, I been playing keys for 30 years with good musicians..You be surprised how easy it is to stretch a song when you got chops and know how to play!(Take lessons and practice LOTS)

Hey Friend
Considered one of the greatest rock songs in history - on the studio version just hear that children's choir join in. Look up what the words are telling you
Gen Y here, born 1984. First time I heard bands like the Stones and The Doors I turned my back on Blink-182, KORN, and all of my generation's favorite bands. I listen to only 60s-70s stuff, have not looked back since.

And THAT’s where the concept of “move like Jagger” comes from!

Got them Moves like Jagger
Now I feel old if you really don't know the lead singer is Mick Jagger. 🙂
You said "this sounds like it should be a movie". The song was inspired by Mihail Bulgakov's novel "Master and Margarita" (one of the greatest books ever written, btw) that has had movie adaptations. So, kinda.
This song isn't going to mean as much if you don't know the history behind the lyrics. I was blessed to see Mick sing this song live on a tiny platform 130 ft in the air in 1989 at Legion Field. BTW "In Living Color" open for TRS. Stylistically, their music is a creative fusion influenced by heavy metal, funk, jazz, hip hop, punk, and alternative rock. You should check them out. Not that many black heavy metal bands out there.

Awesome!!!

This is so much better than todays music by light years .
Bro put the phone down when the Rolling Stones are on.
There is a tremendous amount of history in this song, starting with the assassination of Tsar Nicholas. Part of the attraction of vintage songs like this is the wealth of history inherent in the lyrics, and if you consider it, you'll figure out the answer to the question. What's my name?
Its a history lesson
After the Beatles split up, the Rolling Stones were introduced as "the greatest R&R band in the world" everywhere they played. Just so you know.
It was part of a movie. The Jericho mile.
See, it used to be that musicians would jamm. You get on the groove and just roll with it. Song times were abbreviated because of radio stations. Freakiness...is awesome kinda like Funk...love Funk music Remember what was going on in the 70s ...and sex, drugs, rock n roll!
You know how good you have to be to still fill stadiums fifty years later?

Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones are ICONIC!!!! Wasn't Mick knighted by the queen?
@nelerhabarber5602

In 1995, Mick Jagger was appointed Honorary President of the University of London; in the same year he became an honorary member of the London School of Economics and Political Science. On 12 December 2003 he was knighted by Prince Charles, representing Queen Elizabeth II, for his "services to popular music"; so he may use the suffix "Sir".

And Keith Richards (the Stones main guitar player, secondary vocal and co-song writer) was famously very, very bitchy about Mick accepting. He makes good points too about Mick tarnishing all the other band members intentions with the band by accepting without consulting them first. He refused his own offer and said 'I wouldn't let anyone from that family touch me with a long stick, never mind a sword!' Years before being offered the knighthood he already said 'They wouldn't dare, they know exactly where I'd tell them to stick it.' It's important to note that both Mick and Keith grew up with a long history of abhorring their native countries monarchal system. Another fun, related quote by Keith about Elton John doing 'Candle in the Wind' for princess Diana's death: 'He's writing songs for dead blondes now.' When people were offended he answered that 'It can't be that hard to be born princess of Wales' and that very rich people (including himself!) shouldn't be glorified for doing the bare minimum for less fortunate souls.

Give some David Bowie a spin! "Heroes" or "Under Pressure" would be a good starting point.
Something really refreshing about how little you know about this song or band. The stones were never a big deal to me but I grew up knowing many many things about them. This is a damn good song though. Next reaction video is him watching Gimme Shelter from '70.
Your correct, all the creativity seems to have gone out of music. His name is the Devil!
Ever heard that songs Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5? This is who he's talking about. Mick Jagger.
**suggestion** Explore David Bowie LP "Rise and fall of ziggy stardust and the spiders from mars" definitely check out rock n roll suicide or just about any song on it. Try to find an old video.
his name is mick jagger homie but in the song he is singing in the perspective of satan........and as far as you talking bout it should be in a movie and it could really hype a scene, trust me it's been in plenty movies and made many a scene.

I can't believe you don't know it is the Devil who is talking / singing... Pleased to meet you hope you guessed my name, you need to watch a video with the lyrics to the song.
Please, make a comment about an AFI song. I would suggest a non commercial one like 'Affliction' but also a commercial one line 'miss murder' could be interesting... I like your point of view. 👍
Talking 'bout movies. Start with "Suicide Squad" and go back in history. "Fallen" with Denzel Washington btw. (Must see, Fiction but unbelieveable good Story) This song is a legend!
U gotta Do young man's Blues by the who at isle of wight
I think it's because the title and concept were so controversial for its day. Religion and politics are usually taboo. Many songs of the era were 9 minute or longer songs. Mostly to please a crowd that were tripping on LSD. This song has been used in so many movies because of its reference to the devil, (therefore incredibly naughty) including Denzel Washington's 'Fallen' or Tom Cruise in 'Interview with a Vampire'.
You’ve got a Beavis & Butthead hoodie on Have you considered a reaction to “Dragula” By Rob Zombie? (Was a featured song in the feature length “Do America” film )
Queen had a song that origenally was over 8 minutes the producer said that was too long and them cut it down shorter that later got played back to back everywhere We will rock you and weare tge champions were origenally one song
His name is Lucifer, in the song he deserves sympathy because he was created to be what he is... So we tend to conflate Satan, the devil, and Lucifer, when Lucifer is god's most attractive angel, who was created to be the Satan for all that God created, but the devil is actual evil, while Satan is just a title of opposition...
@Dark_Harmony
Жыл бұрын
Lucifer chose to be evil. He was jealous of God. He's the fallen angel. Once he became ruler of Hell, his name was changed to Satan, because Lucifer was the name God gave him as the most attractive angel, so he didn't want to remain associated with anything doing with God, & to be his own God, separate of all God stood for. All other angels that followed, & fell with him became demons/devils in his service.
His name is "Satan," my friend*
The song is about the cruellest side of humanity in all its glory. What they are saying is it isn't the devil lucifer or anything mystical of non-existent that creates misery....it is the bad choices of horrible humans. So you should have sympathy for the Devil as it is the first to be blamed.
11:30 guilty! haha
Pentatonix is great! They relatively recent. Excellent group. Older music- play the greatest ‘Queen’ Bohemian Rhapsody!
"What IS his name?" and then Mick says what his name is and it slide right past ya, lol. I blame the live recording vs the studio recording. The delivery was a little muddled.
Hi! Did you figure out this song? It’s a little evil. A warning perhaps but people understood it. Yikes! We all did. It’s really been played in a few shows & movies. Wonder why, right? Welcome! Can you guess my name? Everyone over 40-45 knows the answer to the question. The Devil. 💕❤ Much love! Great Channel! I subscribed! 👏👏👏 The words tell you who he is. You must listen carefully. It’s scary when you realize the answer. I remember when I understood just like it was yesterday. A chill went through me. Intense. The audience stayed with the song through till the end. They knew.
It looks like the circus tent video...if you were to look hard you can see other famous musicians sitting around
“He” is the devil
It’s just too funny to watch you even consider yourself eligible to judge a band like the Rolling Stones. Can’t wait to hear your first album.

This song was written relying on the plot of one of the greatest philosophical novels Master and Margarita! It is difficult to understand the real meaning of this song if you are not familiar with the book.
Jim Morrison is God! Santana is good! Seal is fantastic, if you’re open to a solo singer (soul music) without a band. Guns-n-Roses are hard rock-great. Try the band They Who’! Excellent! Michael Jackson is always the best! .
I hope u don't take that wrong but the lyrics are everything

Hey JoJo you used to be better at this . His name is in the title and I suggest you go back and listen again to listen to the lyrics . You'll get it. Take care man
Sounds like you have a narrow pallet for music, and that's okay. Although you didn't sit still for a second.
Watching live versions honestly takes away a lot of the songs impact. I generally try to listen to the studio versions first to get the impact they intended.
Funny you read the title and didn't get his name 😂
Hey man. Love the channel. Don't think you've done any KIX yet. Check out "Cold Shower" kzread.info/dash/bejne/qpehrsWqcquynco.html They were almost big in the 80's. They opened for Van Halen and Ratt and Guns N' Roses and even headlined a few of their own tours. Lizzie Hale from Halestorm studied vocals with the lead singer Steve Whiteman.
His name is Satan.
Check out Alice In Chains “Rooster “
Jojo, you should listen to Guns N Roses version of this song, it's a lot better.
His name is jesus, lucifer, satan, or enlil depending on who you ask
This is an epic Master Piece. Listen to the words. Or should I take it that you don't know world history. Who's the only one who can, and will, LAY YOUR SOUL TO WASTE? The studio version is sooooo much better. I'm pretty sure the church had banned it when it came out.
If you knew history this would make more sense. And you’ve missed the whole point of the song.
READ. THE. TITLE. LISTEN. TO .THE. BRIDGE. It's not subtle.
How good do you have to be to have a 9 minute intro? Rolling Stones good.
Dude LMAO, your talking to your grandad, not probly any of your viewers lol.
If you took two minutes to actually look up and read the lyrics you, I suspect, would get quite a history lesson. By the way this was 1969......none of today's mechanical bullshit. No songs back then that had more writing credits than different words.
The Guns N Roses version of this is dope. Speaking of - treat yourself to "This I Love" by GnR. Raw emotion!
I hope this is not your job
Man you really need to do a reaction to guns n roses version of this as good as the stones are in my opinion gnr smoked them with their cover
This song gonna suck. How good can it be. *admits doesn't get it, why bother looking at lyrics, just says it sucks*. How objective.
I'm disappointed. You're usually quite perceptive, so I'm surprised you didn't catch on to who Mick Jagger is impersonating here. The answer to that question is in the song's title, is hinted throughout the lyrics, and even spelled out clearly later on when he sings "Just call me Lucifer." Oh, and yes! They had studios back then (of course they did!) This is a live version, which are often longer than the originals. The song on the album is 'only' over 6 minutes. Still long by today's standards, for sure, but not so uncommon in the 60's and 70's. And you should know that, too, cause you've already reacted to quite a few of those longer tracks ("Stairway to Heaven," "Child in time," Rainbow's "Stargazer," etc.)
wow, that's the most speaking while saying nothing in a reaction that I've ever heard. Thank G-d every day that you wake up for your subscribers that you got off your dad, as they don't know that you're faking it.
Isn’t all that good? Wash your mouth out,, it’s one of the greatest rock n roll songs ever written, have a re listen with no gaps n just listen to the words ,
To understand the lyrics you need some knowledge of history. Its a problem for americans, who only learn something about their country but NOTHING about history "outside" of america!
