Hi - just for info- just because a product has not for sale on it - doesn’t mean it is a free sample- it can also be that it was made to go into a set or in this case an advent calendar that is then being sold and it doesn’t mean that vogue didn’t have to pay that manufacturer for those products just means they cannot be sold separately- unlikely a company would give a 7ml serum away as a free sample. Of course Vogue would not be paying full price but would get them at the retailer costs or maybe less if manufacturers see this as good marketing opportunity.

It’s a great marketing opportunity. I’m a straight guy and have never heard of any of these products or Christmas advent calendars until Vogue announced one.

I totally agree. Also in the case of the products not for sale there were always multiple ones together, same as it would be in a set for sale. Definitely not mad about it! This calendar is gorgeous, starting from that incredible box! Unfortunately too expensive for me, but it was beautiful to watch.

Yes I agree with this. It’s the same when you get a 6 pack of coke or some other fizzy drink, on the 6 pack cans they say they can’t be sold separately but on a can the exact same size that you get in the fridge it doesn’t say that. I think it’s a similar thing where the brand can buy the products slightly cheaper together and they can’t sell them on their own at full price because they’d be making more profit than the whole sellers?

Yes thank you for this...I hate when she says that as some sort of dismissal of the products/calendar, seems snobby, ignorant and ungrateful (in the case of the calendar being gifted to her), so thank you for pointing this out, she gives me the feeling of someone who likes luxury, pretends to know about it, but is a fake consumer who plays at being luxurious and doesn't know anything about REAL luxury, I almost can't watch her

Please don’t be disappointed with ‘freebies’ because they’re not! I know other people have said it but ‘sample not for sale’ is usually to stop resellers buying cheaply and selling on at a profit. I’ve even seen it on full size products in a set before.

I've seen them for myself and they are definitely samples, my sister works in a department store and said they were things you would get for free with purchases.

The calendar looks beautiful but those samples were frustrating. Why put them in such an expensive calendar. If I’m paying over $350 for a calendar I would expect everything in it to be at least a travel size and even that is pushing it

Here are my thoughts. I think this advent calendar is *stunning* . Keep this in mind... first a couple of minis or sample sizes is totally acceptable in my opinion as long as it's not over done. So many ACs - even higher end ones are virtually *filled* with sample sizes. Also, in this one, the drawers with minis have multiple pieces in them - you never see that! *Also, very important* , Those minis are likely made exclusively for Vogue, for this calendar. Vogue / the brand would quite deliberately have those printed as "not for resale". They would not want someone getting their hands on a mini that was designed exclusively for their advent calendar and reselling it. It doesn't mean that Vogue got them for free and are regifting - it only means that Vogue and the brand do not want anyone to be able to resell something that was made exclusively for the Vogue Advent Calendar. This calendar really is *extraordinary* and I would love to get one.

Best Advent calendar yet! It’s nice to get something other than cosmetics and skin care, one can only use so much of that.

I've been watching Advent calander unboxings for a couple of years now, and this should be the standard. I'd say this is the best one I've seen.

For your US followers, this is available! Yes, I ordered one for my wife! I love this calendar, the box itself and the contents...except for the "freebies"! But, the Vogue design and edit team know their audience, they clearly made it a statement piece, and you can tell they were taking care of that audience with this 1st release. Fabulous release and a great presentation. Thank you MissBoux, once again you found something for us that we wouldn't normally look for! 💖

Hi fab video. So excited to open mine next month. I think the vogue collectible is the print you would have got in the black envelope. At least thats what i assumed. We will get an email too with code for 12 month mag subscription. Sisley and cle de peau items still worth a lot though and in my experience you would have to buy a lot of those products before they given out freebies at the counter! Expensive calendar but worth it in my opinion. Love your unboxings.

The box is great, I love the vintage phots on each box (they (a few) would be fabulous to have them made bigger ) after have them framed, they’d be great for your makeup (walls around), or many other places in your home. 🇨🇦🥰🇨🇦

Amazing and beautiful advent calendar. I don’t mind the ‘samples/freebies’. You have to buy a lot to get those freebies. So not shabby at all.

Sisley is an insanely expensive brand like La Mer or La Praire. Some of their stuff goes for over $1000. That’s why that drawer was so tiny.

not for sale or resale usually is made for calendars and gift sets. they don't want people to resell it in stores or online.

I actually think the A.B brand is doing the brand damage by constantly being in tons of different advent calendars year after year. It's overkill... Customers seem a bit fed up with the predictable in a calendar 'rich cream'. It's almost a joke that you will find it in your calendar. I know the brand is expensive. I've tried it and there are many better, less expensive brands out there.

@@Mardi-Shorts-DevonGirlUK i've actually just finished my previous 15ml AB rich cream, and i love it so much especially in winter, but would never get it at full price - for me it would be a reason to pick a calendar that has another of those in it! but i agree with you about the value of the brand from putting it everywhere, i feel the same way about barbara sturm. i missed out on space nk because last year i got it at a reduced price so was waiting for the price to go down again, didn't expect it to be the most popular this year lol.

I dont think those are freebies. “Sample not for sale” can also mean exclusive. It can keep people from reselling or trying to return the item somewhere. Especially if its not available to the public yet.

I was tempted but wasn’t sure. It’s a lot of money. I think they should have kept the price point around 200/250. It’s really nice but I prefer the Space NK as I will use everything in it. X

I really like all the full sizes and having some nice jewellery is something different, and also very useable for everyone. I think having the whole skin care set from Cle de Peau made up for the small size. But I do think Sisley could have managed one travel size. I don’t see these as freebies though, you actually have to spend a lot to get these GWPs. This calendar would be over $600 AUD so out of my range! Thanks for showing everything.

@@Truth1561 Be that as it may, the concept of these calendars is, that if you bought the items separately in the shops (I agree, overpriced, especially cosmetics) you’d pay much more.

Those cashmere socks are great! So basically you could buy it and give the card holder earrings and necklace, even candle and socks! As lovely gifts and keep the rest for yourself and they would be free

I think I discovered the surprise gift! In the email with the digital subscription, there's a £50 voucher to spend in the Vogue store. There's a sale right now so I got shorts and a t-shirt. I loved this calendar - like I miss it in my life! Hope for something similar next year.

I really love the design, it's so beautiful with the old illustrated covers. I agree that the samples don't really have their place in there, but it's a gorgeous selection otherwise.

The sarah chapman is a retinol for day use

I used to go to Crisco Disco back in the 80's NYC . Huge after-hours gay disco

It looks very beautiful and stylish, great expensive gift, however I personally was not impressed, I am not interested in jewelry pieces, Foreo, sleep mask and 1 more candle, as well as small hair products, body oil, I liked skin care and make up, but I would prefer for this amount of money just to buy what I want and know works well for my skin.

Thank you for your amazing unboxing. I received mine yesterday and it is beautiful & very substantial. I did not get the mystery Vogue collectible and not sure how to access the digital subscription. I've emailed them straightaway and still waiting for their reply. Fyi I was watching Random Lifestyle Vlog's unboxing of this calendar and she didn't get her collectible as well, so not sure if they missed this part for all x

Wonderful calendar! Luxury items!

Love this calendar but it is $423 in the US (it didn't mention shipping cost). Karen, your unboxings are the best because you give plenty of info, show the product out of the packaging it came in, and also swatch and tell us the scent. You do a variety of costs from affordable to high-end like this one. The boxes in this calendar are so beautiful and different. Stunning and would consider purchasing at the UK price but US is too expensive. Wonderful advent unboxing as always! Thank you for sharing this expensive calendar with us! 💕💕💕

On the Vogue Collection page online, the only shipping price I can see is for the US, which is £30, which works out to around US$39 - I think. But at least they send to the US. I live in Australia, for us it’s around A$700, and I’m not even sure if they ship here. I would love to buy it, so I’m hoping it will be available to buy for another couple of weeks!

I thought it was expensive here. The UK has so many different calendars. There are some that don't ship to US and it must even be less of them in Australia. I hope you can get this calendar! @@leannepaxton5012

Putting free samples in is a bit of an embarrassment, but they are from two of the most expensive brands. You're right though; travel sizes would have been more impressive. Having said that, I would LOVE to get this, but I have to be a little more careful this year. I would recommend the Foreo UFO 2 device to anyone. I love mine.

Oh no, they sadly do not deliver to Germany. Would have loved to order this one.

For $350 it should not include samples! With that said it did have some great items and I liked how it didn’t feel like a lot of products you’ve already received other than the olaplex (how many of these do you have now?? 😂)

I mean,they had a 130£ foreo in one of the boxes, I don’t mind some minis (specially because only two days had minis and there were always multiple items in the boxes) and “not for sale” doesn’t mean “free sample”, sometimes it’s just part of a set or made exclusively for a campaign, like the advent calendar. This calendar pays itself in three boxes, complaining about the sets of minis is a bit much imo.

Do you mind if I ask after inbixing 30 advents calendars, do you get them complimentary or do you buy them all. Bc I’d on average 250-300€ so maybe €10000 how?

TBH The calendar was OK and tho it was nice to have jewellery in the calendar the RRP for items are overpriced for what they are as the are just gold plated. I have bought high end calendars for the last couple of years but this year I decided NOT to buy a calendar. I ust admit I was tempted by the Liberty & Cult Beauty calendars again but decided to stop myself as I really didn't need them Lol. They are great especially if you want to try high end/quality products and especially if there are a few items that you would normally buy and getting the calendar actually can save you money. This year tho I decided to be good and didn't buy a calendar BUT did get some good deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday on products I wanted. I have just thought I still have the calendar boxes from the last couple of years and use them and make my own advent calendar LMAO x

Yeah i was gonna say im sure those cle de peau were samples probs from a giftset. I dont know if it's cos i binge watch all the advent vids not many seem to really impress me anymore 😏 Cost a small fortune & lucky if u get many decent items, if theres a few amazing ones the rest seem to be a bit meh. Get tired of seeing the same brands all the time. Love watching ur vids tho ❤ x

I don’t mind the mini’s because there are only a couple. But, I don’t care for the jewelry being gold, I don’t wear gold so those would not have any value for me. I’m happy with my spacenk 💜

Nobody gives you full size Sisley product for free! Not even in advent calendar!

A really good calendar £1500 of products for £350! Can’t believe people are moaning about 2 lots of freebies and saying it’s not worth more than £200/£250, no pleasing some people.

The free samples are literally the reason I won't buy this. It's such a shame in a really premium calendar. I also thought there was no need for 2 facial moisturisers. A full size mask instead would have been nice instead. Also the eye mask is naff. I hate when calendars include them. If that's the mystery collectable (which I think it is), then that's even more disappointing. Thanks for a great review as always!

Great box, but what I want the actual box - forget the items - I want that box on permanent display!!!

My friend brought this calendar and the jewelry feels so cheap, they look so much bigger on this video than they really are, the necklace is so thin that we thought it was missing when she opened it, if your not really petit it would snap, her bag was missing on Christmas day draw it was just sat in a plastic baggy, the socks are tiny and her serum was missing, she emailed customer services 4 days ago and still has heard nothing back, the machine is tiny too, every thing looks so much bigger on here, if you want to return it you have to pay yourself but she can't because there are things missing, poor girl and literally as well because it was £350 😢
