What was essentially a glorified Omi grunt managed by himself to pull a fast one over one of the most powerful organisations in Japan, impressed two of the most Legendary Yakuzas ever and fought toe to toe with the Dragon of Dojima right after. If Shishido was born 20, maybe even 10 years earlier, he would have been up there with the elite, the legends, and would have been an extremely good candidate for the Patriarch title. What an incredibly badass character, i felt pity for him, he could have been one of the greats in-universe. Or maybe he finally became one of the greats. The very last one in the old world. The Lion of Omi standing on top of the Omi alliance's remains, protecting a dream that can't exist anymore.

I'd place Shishido up there with the legends of the Yakuza. I mean, he was the last leader the Omi Alliance ever had after all. He rallied a whole army of men with just words alone and kept them fighting an admittedly losing fight against 4 near unstoppable legends.

Basically a better Aizawa Him hyping up the Omi for final stand was awesome

This theme made the scene so hype

Shishido is basically the perfect union of Ryuji, Majima, Saejima, and Daigo.

Best antagonist since Y2 imo and how the game hypes him up with Saejima even acknowledging Shishido's strength after saving Majima was a badass set up

@@hartantoanggoro guns in Daigo's hands are real life cheats, unfit for wanting to prove Omi remains wrongs with two bare fists.

I replayed Y7 and Gaiden, got them to the points needed, then played out the entire Dissolution in sequence. Whole event is a behemoth to behold.

By far the greatest antagonist in the series to me, and he was given just 5 chapters worth of time to work with. Amazing.

I think this song splits well into two parts: the first half is definitely Wounded Beast, with Shishido rallying what’s left of the Omi for the last stand. And then the solo kicks in… that feels like Kiryu’s response. The Dragon’s Last Roar
