Surely grateful that they have let us in their private space and shared real life experiences,, love you ladies
This conversation was phenomenal!! Thank you for tackling a hard topic. After 30 years of marriage we’ve reached our hardest moments!! My husband lost his job and cascaded into a deep depression. ( our marriage had been shaky for some time prior to that) He completely rejected me. I was a stay at home mom with our 6 children. I was not opposed to working but he wanted me home and at the same time making money. I had to do some deep inner work by the grace of God and give room for him to find his way. It’s been 4 years, all the children are out of high school. I’m happily working and doing what I love. I was counseled to leave by many but what held me is what one of the ladies said -“Did I know that he was the one for me from the beginning?” The answer is yes! Therefore I will stay no matter what. I am finding my happiness because it’s not dependent upon him. Slowly but surely he is finding his way again. We live in the same home but separate. I’m still believing that by Gods grace our marriage will be restored and that we will be “jubileed”( I think that’s the term you used). I just love your frank honest open conversations from an African perspective! I’m from the Caribbean and married to a Nigerian. My expectations were the story book, movie, eurochristian ones. I had to search the word of God and dig deep to discover that the real thing is very different. I have a promise in God’s word that says that “ love never fails” so my quest is to discover what that looks like as to how I’m to demonstrate that. How does one live 1 Cor. 13: 4-8 I love you all ladies! I wish to host conversations like these one day on my own channel. You’ve inspired me!! Blessings!

Not yet married but in my mind it's registered that it's forever not because of the excitement of having to be married but because I have see people who have kugumad and right now they're enjoying the fruits of their struggles and the ones that decided to leave are kinda finding it very hard to get back into that space that they had before. Girls ladies women as long as it's not life threatening please give it time.
"Old age needs a friend... everybody needs a gang" Great climax
"Old age needs a friend" That point was deep.

I love how these ladies put out real life for the young generation. We appreciate you👏🏾
Loving Manuelas emphasis of asking God before you settle down with a partner. I have always believed that God is the author of marriage but if you leave Him out at the start then you are doomed
Before I even finish watching, I soooooo appreciate the authenticity in the conversations you've held. Thank you dear ladies.

The most honest conversation ever. This show is so under rated, you need a full hour show on TV. Good job ladies
What Aggie said just reminder me of my late step dad. This gental man came into our lives when I was 12yrs. But he had been single for a very long time. But when he got my mom all he wanted was a friend. So when Aggie says old age needs a friend. To the both of them their friendship was more than any thing. He died so happy. To point when he did I felt so bad for my mom because she had lost her friend

This was very emotional to watch but good. Thanks ladies. We need a part 2 to also show the good things about marriage, those situations you feel you wouldn't have made through without your husband. Tell the good stories too ...why we love these men even if they hurt us in one way or the other. Let's hear someone talk about staying for the man even before staying for the children. I think we need to celebrate such men too.

Wow. Thanks Ladies for allowing yourselves to be vulnerable for our sake. I have indeed learnt alot.
Life is too short to be unhappy!! I am on Pumula’s side. Leave. My parents stayed for the kids (and societal image) but sleep in separate rooms for the past 15 years and counting of a 40 year marriage 🤷🏾♀️ I just got married and me and my husband talked about our “no’s” that are an automatic divorce during our courtship. No questions asked. Divorce. I’ve seen happy divorces
@pumlanabachwa8668

Oh WOW! Thanks for sharing. Banange - sleeping in separate rooms? Why not just seek happiness elsewhere and in other things? P
It was a nice conversation. Adding on what Angie said, one of the partners has to lead the way and hold fort and fortunately, it encourages the other partner to work on themselves. I am speaking from a place of having seen my mother do it and my Dad with time realized he didn't want to be left behind. So unless it's life threatening, then try to preserve your marriage. Even after you have left , the next person you get, there will be work to be done. And more so prayer works, include the big man up there and He will reward you with beautiful things.
This conversation was something. The authenticity is applaudable. I have been married 10 years, together for 13 and I saw myself in all of you at the very different stages of my relationship. I'll just say different people have different thresholds, personality, needs etc This is very key on whether you can stay or not. Thanks for sharing ladies.
after watching this, i can strongly conclude no marriage is perfect gal child is going thru a lot thanks for sharing ladies at least have learnt something in relation to my marriage
These detailed 1 hour heart to heart conversations are the best, especially when the topic is as delicate as this one. I like the honesty. I know girls and women who have not had the privelege of loving mother figures speak wisdom into their lives are learning a thing or two. Thank you ladies.
I left after 26years because the man was so abusive and no discussions ever resulted into good out come. So that's why it's good to get married at a young age now I am 48. And it's so great after the healing process I got another husband who had also divorced his first wife so we are together and I am so grateful. Amen

Don't you love how candid they are about their marriage lives?? Thank you ladies. I'm always looking forward to the next episode. And yes, marriage is about compromise.
I just came across this conversation, with so many incredible minds. Their vulnerability is teaching and healing beyond measures. Thank you. For sure a new sub 🥰
I can't count the number of times I have watched this episode! And it gets better everytime I watch it. Thanks ladies, this is one of the best really. Very personal and yet so relatable (simanyi oba luzungu lutuufu🤣🤣)
I agree being honest with yourself because sometimes compromise doesn’t work, an unhappy parent doesn’t raise a happy child! That’s the truth!
Loved the conversation. I decided to take marriage as a journey , and since I know not what to always expect, I decided to take with me the one who holds the keys to All unknown and I am glad I did today is my wedding anniversary. Been doing life with my man for 17 years. Work towards thriving and not surviving. That has been and is my goal. Just like we work at many things we need to work at our marriages. And Angie said it well, Old age needs a partner.

These habits we do see happening now the fact is they must have given a warning before but we really tend to ignore just because we are in love. And if you kept ignoring up to the state of not having option then you will continue leaving in a hurt and you will term it perseverance. We need to sort out issues when they come. Let's say first time you forgive, second time, you forgive third time you forgive, the fourth round it's already become a habit so it's upon you to decide whether to continue and persevere and accept him the way he is or not. But as you are persevering those habits shouldn't be the reason of your annoyance in the marriage. I do personally bet this so called okuguma is living an unhappy life in marriage for the sake of the children. Tell me when this man will think of sharing love with you having come back at 2 or 4am. This is a total separation indirectly.
This by far is the best episode ever bse it came at a point when I needed it the most. Thank you for being authentic ladies. Thank you very much. I hope you know there are some of us that really look forward to your new episodes and learn a lot. This was WISDOM!
Great topic Bump Love. I really love all your raw and honest opinions on this sensitive topic. You couldn’t have said it any better. I just got a lot of knowledge and insight from you lovely ladies.
Such Wise YOUNG Women. This is indeed a Program/Show that Young Unmarried Persons should be attentive of.
I am a huge advocate of happiness. Harm and life-threatening situations aside, if in my deepest of hearts i do not feel happy being with you and i do not see change in the near future, i will still choose me and my happiness and walk away. I do not think God intended for marriage to be miserable.
Angie, sorry for that very painful experience losing your babies. You are such a strong person. You somehow manage to come off both as soft and delicate whilst sharing very strong opinions, holding your own and all round bad-ass! Oba okikola otya!?
My best episode yet, i laughed, learnt, empathised, related. Thanks for being more than candid ladies. Loved it💜
Well done ladies and thank you all for sharing! Whoever thought marriage was a bed of roses? For me it’s been more about compromise and the realisation that we’re all different individuals forging a union. Looking forward to your next show 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
thank u so much for being authentic , sharing yo stories, may they edify and bringout the best in us in the name of Jesus. Amen
I find myself repeatedly drawn to watching this specific episode for some reason.Your authenticity and honesty shine through, making it incredibly relatable. It's striking how the issues that trigger conflicts in relationships and or marriage seem to remain consistent overtime..Personally ,i dentify most with Angie's "Love dovey" personality. It's effortless for me to be swayed back if there's sincere apology accompanied by positive actions and genuine remorse.
Such a welcome conversation. Thank you ladies for being vulnerable. Such conversations are needed in a society that tends to make women choke down their feelings and emotions.
i loved Angiez mature opinions and the authenticity of everyones sharing. Rossette isbusually not so talkative but i enjoyed her sharing. i love the lady likeness in her

your experiences, our lessons. thank you ladies for sharing.
Thanks, ladies for such a great episode. The conversation was authentic and very interesting. I am definitely with the “Kuguma” team. Marriage is not easy; that is why it requires commitment and staying to keep the family unit intact is worth it, but it calls for selflessness because you have to put yourself last. As Rachel said, looking inward to focus on what you can do to improve your situation before looking at what you expect your partner to do for you is an excellent place to start.

I just celebrated our 15th anniversary and like Angie I married young write from campus. I have kunobad in my heart times without number, but after the emotions of the tough conversations and arguments with my hubby have come down, am like it wasn't worth my kunoba thoughts. Thank you ladies for making this talk too real and honestly. Truth is if we went through school there were tough times at school, cantab and all but netulemerako mpaka degree, same applies to marriage. Love you ladies
Some great conversations giving insight about the different stages in marriage and the theirs challenges. I have learned something, thanks.

Thank you so much ladies, i love the kuguma so much but you might choose too but still your partner in the old age leaves you and takes all the things you worked for together, eg spending the resources to care for the current partner( building them houses, buying cars etc) leaving you with nothing, I’ve seen some old women left alone. So i advise as you kuguma you be doing some personnel savings for the old age to avoid disappointment.
