Hearthstone? You should check out Eternal Card Game instead. Tutorial is longer than it needs to be and kind of sucks, but good luck finding a friendlier free to play CCG. Also, constructed format is incredibly diverse.

The card shop I used to frequent was primarily a UFS shop. Most everyone played. Cool game.

The card game came out originally in 2006 and has had many sets and revamps through different companies. The game has had many tournaments and depending on the tournament you can win a chance to get yourself made as a character card. I use to be a tournament organizer in my city and this game is definitely awesome and worth the pick up.

yeah they need to bring back Soul Calibur and release a expansion for Soul Calibur 5 and 6. Soul Calibur 4 was highly expensive and sold out quick as I only got a hold of one box to open.

Get a Custom Pepe Playmat.

I remember playing this game years ago, and then everyone quit when they announced at a huge tournament that it would become a Penny Arcade card game spin off. Besides that, it was a fucking great game.

Marvel will be a problem considering Upper Deck has the license for their VS 2PCG game.

I’ve been playing the game for about 4 Set releases and the game is fantastic. It’s got a great community and it is a ton of fun. Plus prize support is sweet in the game.

Literally fucking crying at the 2 girls into, then the cut back to Jerry trying to explain with a straight face.

Best way I've heard this game described as an MTG player is its basically Commander with a 60 card deck. You get your character, who has their abilities available from the start of the game, and youre playing attacks and other cards to synergize with your character to do janky nonsense. Thats what got me into it ~ a month ago and its actually a really apt comparison so far. Hadn't heard the part where you can win a standard legal card of yourself though holy shit...

There is a good secondary market for UFS. RockcesterCCG being the lead name. Also they sell boxes at 72.

I played when I was in grade school....this game is awesome once you really get into it. Idk how the old cards stack with the new cards but I'd be willing to hunt high and low for old and get new ones from my local shop

@Unsleevedmedia do a pack opening and or gameplay of Chaotic TCG it is currently a dead tcg due to a licensing issue before but with a slight possibility of coming back. It had excellent and unique game mechanics and when it was still alive whenever you bought the cards each individual card had a code on the bottom and you can use that code online, play it, and trade the codes with other people in real time and play against people. The card types comprise of creatures/characters, locations,mujik(aka spells), and equipment. It also had 5 tribes/alliances comprised of Overworlders(humanoids), Underworlders(Demons and monsters), Medpedians(Lizard people), Daniens(Insect hive/Swarm), and later on they added Merri'ellians which were alien invaders. The lore behind the game was solid it even had a cartoon on tv that was supposed to be for kids but it was okay enough where everyone could watch it. You should look into the TCG I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

I watched the mentioned instructional videos too and it looks like a pretty fun game. Wouldn't mind picking up this "duel deck" set and trying it out with a friend.

A heap of game stores in Melbourne Australia tried these games and they just never took off and store owners were stuck with heaps of product that they couldn't move not sure if it will really take off.

I remember seeing this like 10 years ago, didn't know it was still getting new sets. Really interesting.

I kind of want to start getting these when the Darkstalker sets come out. (I'm assuming despite the name, you can't have say Spike from Cowboy Bebop squaring off against Sagat in Street Fighter, or is there a rule set that lets you crossover and fight with different characters from different series a la Marvel vs Capcom or Capcom vs SNK? Heck, the only one I feel that could crossover is the Street Fighter vs Darkstalker ones because the crossover exists.)

I think that's the whole idea behind the game, universal mechanics where you can have different characters from different series fighting against each other but you can't cross over series in a deck. Think how Weiss Schwarz works.

They definitely allow crossover. This game is a lot older (and was truthfully better before jasco bought it in my opinion) and it had some amazing matchups between darksiders, soulcaliber, street fighter, tekken, king of fighters, their own amazing shadowar IP (that jasco bought with the game and refuses to do any thing with). I really enjoyed it but no on locally plays now.

Actually Fox Pocket, there is no restriction on crossing over within a deck. If you want Lilith to throw out a Skull Barrier, go right ahead. The only restriction is on the Resource Symbol, so long as at least 1 Resource Symbol on a card matches one on your character, you can put the card in your deck (Though for practical purposes it's best to restrict the entire deck to all sharing one resource symbol).

That's pretty cool. So it's still possible to do some of the crossover matchups with the current iteration of the game, or are there some old rules that are not compatible with the current version, making it hard to play with an older deck?

Sounds better than SFV! I can see myself buying this.

Theres about 6 card games I'd like to play. But I wouldn't buy into a new card game without knowing I had people to play with and faith the game would stick around a while.

UFS may be a decent ccg, but as an adaptation of fighting games, it's pretty crappy. Yomi, Battlecon, Exceed, and Way of the Fighter all do it much better.

Too many of Chun-Li's cards show her beating up the superior waifu. 0/10 >:|

Ufs was one of my favorite card games ever made but it died off pretty quickly

This game isn't very good and Street fighter set was really weak got overpowered by everything in the very next set. Plus doesn't feel like fighting game at all. ExCeed did a better job.
