Interesting topic Dillion. These are things all of us knife collectors have to weigh when thinking about a new purchase. Blade HQ has had several sales on the GOM recently. I got one a couple of months ago for $256 and I'm happy with my purchase, but I wouldn't have bought it at $365. A ton of companies are advertising DLC that isn't really DLC, I knew it wasn't real DLC when I purchased it, we unfortunately have to do our homework before clicking the checkout button. The GOM is currently available for $225. Blade HQ has sales on Liong Mah Field Duty, Renegade Provisions GOM, Chave Kick stops, and Berg blades Slims. It appears that these knives may have been produced in quantities that exceeded demand and at their retail price are high enough to discourage impulse buys. I've seen the Chaves Kick stop for as low as $199, GOM for $225, Field Duty $325, and the Slim for $275. I like to wait for sales. I try to be selective about what is worth the full retail price versus what will likely go on sale, examples being Hinderers, Rocksteads, CKF Evo's, Stryders all hold their value and are likely to be at their cheapest at retail price, while high volume mass produced knives like Kizers, Bestechs, Kansepts, Reates, ZT's, Benchmades, Spyderco's, ect eventually end up on discontinued or clearance sales. F.OM.O. can cost a lot of money.

Thanks for watching! Your definitely right waiting to buy a knife Is the best move usually and I do that sometimes but I'm also guilty of buying on drop day.

Maybe at the $250 range

Awesome looking knife but it has a lot of competition at that price or even lower.

I just bought the same knife but all black, just got it today. Brand new for $260, I like it but I dislike the access to the lock bar. Also you’re right, why call it DLC when it’s not. Whoever paid more than $300 for it got ripped off.

I pre ordered the GOM so I've had it from day 1 for $350. It is to this day one of my favorites. Love the thwak sound in makes! But damn, now I'm bummed knowing I could've got it for $225! Definitely makes me rethink pre ordering but I'm not always the most patient person. I have 3 knives pre ordered at the moment 😬. Hope I don't regret it.

What's your thoughts on the One Track Mind Ire? Oem by kunwu. It's very similar to this knife. Slightly better, imo and has kunwus beautiful dlc for 310 I think.
