I've found most blazers are fine in the washer mate, even the 'dry clean only' ones. Obviously take all the precautions - turn inside out, put on a delicates cycle, cold wash and hang to air dry. Use a specific delicates detergent and avoid harsh stain removers like vanish etc. (soaking dirt marks with white vinegar is fine, more 'serious' stains I'm sure you'd avoid anyway). I tested on a few cheap pickups (St Michaels vintage wool tweed etc.) and they've all been fine.

I hand washed a wool jacket the other day in the bath and it came out really nice, had to rinse it a couple times with a couple bath Fula but I’m guessing it’s less than what a washing machine uses!

@@Chaddypete aha I could never be bothered, everything comes out soaking wet when I hand wash and takes ages to dry. Did that a couple times then thought screw it, in the machine, silk setting and let's see.

Found a pair of Vilebrequin shorts today in a local charity shop, the lady behind the counter looked up comps as I was waiting to pay and refused to sell them to me for the price on the tag (£2.99). Said they would have to go to their eBay store. 🤬

There is a few factors but mainly it’s about quality, luxury brands don’t take shortcuts! Both the labels on that Prada t shirt weren’t up to standard and the material overall felt cheaply made
