Armor should stay the same, but what makes the armor completely broken is the equpment thaf makes your traverse speed too much high. The tank looks like a really angry bull from rodeo when its wiggling its hull. If armor gets nerfed, it eill become a worse E5 because of other stats compared to E5.

In version 9.4, the armor had been changed into a thinner one. It can be penetrated now.

You make this tank look super easy..When I try to play it in similiar style I always get penned by every heavy tank ,every TD ,most mediums ,Sheridians etc and my shots magically never reach the target

It does get a lot of bounces but most times the aggressive play style it has is also it's weakness as you are almost always under fire

The problems mentioned stem from the fact that it isn't a heavy tank, rather it's an MBT. It's clearly based off of either the Type 10 or other Japanese MBTs.

I clearly explained the types armor should be nerfed to the point where it's similar to the IS-4, Nefing a tank does not mean destroying the armor. The tank is broken in it's current state and needs to be changed

Make the upper plate like 320mm. Decress the lower plate like 10mm And decress the traverse speed like 40 degree instead of 50 and decress the top speed to 34 and buff the gun's accuracy and make the heat 374

Just nerf its lower plate, give it a proper weakspot, that's it. I think it'll not affect the playstyle of the tank by any means as it heavily relies on wiggling its tank to make it harder for players to hit your weakspot (or just hide it entirely if you're using the gun depression equipment) while also making the tank less annoying when encountering it because you don't have to use gold shells to pen the damn thing and just aim at the lower plate.

this tank side armor, especially the part where there is a spaced armor is really troll to pen, I always hit that spaced armor, because the weakness is the upper side of that spaced armor, plus its really hard to hit, because of its size and the ridiculous traverse speed

It’s manageable. Keep as is. Yes it’s hard to play against, but why play a game that makes everything easy. I love the variety this game offers in its tanks.

type 71 is coming to pc at somepoint,time will tell if ends up being broken inside mm what is dominating some other broken stuff

It's actually easy to hit the hatch but only using AP shell or APCR because of shell normalization.

The Type is funny. Its armor is mostly full of holes but because it can wiggle like its having a seizure it is just luck rather you pen or not and the luck is bad. Its gun kind of sucks but it is soooooo stupid hard to pen when you wiggle it almost doesn't matter. I've even reverse side scraped very effectively with it just because I could do that dumb wiggling.

Lower plate should be like 10-15mm and top speed forward 32 and take away that broken equipment it has for mobility, not sure about the gun... It's ok. Also side armor is sometimes crazy should be a bit easier to pen it. This way it's just like dealing with a normal tank, and no one would have to be bothered by it.

For blitz should I go with the chaffee or the m4a3e8 I've unlocked the other one. I like going fast and destroying but I like sniping and taking away a lot of damage

i just think that while we have lots of auto loaders in the game even in T10,I 've found them so difficult do deal with ,so... maybe Type 71 abilities is OK ?

For me the stupidest thing about this tank is just how the frontal armor extends onto the side making the drive Wheels impossible to pen

This is how I balance the tank. Nerf the lowerplate to 100mm so it cannot bounce. Remove enhance Suspension Buff max speed back to 40km/h Buff side armor from 105mm to 140mm Gun Depression from 6° to 10° The tank first introduced it suppose to be a mix breed between IS-7 and E5. It should do both roles of Hulldown and Sidescrape. This idea will make ir able to do both roles but it suffers the turret terverse speed and hullterverse speed which means any tanks should be able to flank it. I don’t like the Idea of being an oversized STB, which it currently is at that moment.

@Always smile That’s literally ruins the tank. Not only that it will be the worst HT in the game. Hence you make the hull literally thinner than HMS Hood’s Deck. With bad Mobility and Bad armor it just garbage. Why bother using that version of Type 71 when E5 did a better job at that then?

@@frostybyte04 I didn’t says the upperplate gets a nerf. Only the lower plates. And yes, Enhance Suspension should be removed replace the Equipment like other tanks have. While also keep its gun depression to 10°. At the same time increase that side armor with 40km/h speed. It’s much lighter than Type 5 so making having 30km/h speed doesn’t make any sense as Japanese Tanks although have average speed. But they really have a good engine. So basically I make it being a mix breed between IS-7 and an E5.

The reason he so good is he uses mouse and keyboard. Not the screen. Lol

droodles if you can't deal with with type 71's it's ur problem, i can easily pen them (turret ring, gold to upper plate, hatch, side cheeks) very easy tank to deal with compared to hull down super conq or concept

i get the point of the video snd everything ofc. But damn doodles, why did you turn off cali on IS-4 while showing the armor? At that point, its just 10mm improvement compared to med premium pen

Wanna know the best tank to turn the Type 71 into buttery swiss cheese? Get the Grille 15, run Calibrated Shells, and increase the Traverse speed. Thing basically becomes more stupid than the Type 71's armor.

In my Opinion, It doesn't need a nerf at all. 2400+ Hit points with good mobility plus good armour profile and a decent gun unlike other tanks having more than 2500 HP but in compensation, bad accuracy and slow Mobility or bad armour. Lower plate is quite similar to 60tp, It can be penetrated using premium Shell in the front hull, the sides may look troll but still, a weakness. The only thing that makes this tank Extremely good but not OP is that it's good mobility and very sloped armor, allowing users to wiggle the tank to avoid getting penetrated. However if you acknowledge the tank's weakness you'll be able to wipe it out easily but, Frankly to say, if you don't have knowledge on this tank then you'll end up badly like any other players do. I'm not biased to any tank but in the good hands, it's totally insane👌

Almost every single Tier X heavy has a weak spot at its front that is penetrable by a regular AP shell of a random medium tank. You name it. The only two exceptions previously are 7201 and Maus, both of which are excusable since they are pathetically slow. And now we have 71. Its lower plate is not penetrable by a med’s AP unless you run calibrated & unangled 71, and the moment the 71 runs more armor or even just angles a bit you’re in trouble. For some, even your premium will come empty. And I haven’t even started talking about that this supposedly weak spot is such a thin line and its angle warrants a high ricochet chance once in terrain & angled. I’m a 70% player myself and I still hate seeing 71 every single time even though I know all those tricks to pen this thing. Lower plate nerf is almost a must, and even then I wouldn’t consider it balanced although I’m uncertain how much mobility nerf is necessary.

Mobility nerf is needed by alot if WG is not going to nerf it's armor. Other than that, I agree with you 100%. Other heavies have weakspots, specifically the lower hull and it's universal. What makes type71 really broken is the combination of speed and armor. Is7 have the highest speed, but type71 acceleration wins is7 anytime

Not many know this, but the Type 71’s turret ring just below the gun mantlet can be penetrated by 183’s HESH, it’s funny once you manage to penetrate that and they start to frantically wiggle. If WG had to nerf it, just make that turret ring a bit larger, or thinner so even the side parts of the turret ring can alse be penned, haha.

I use is7 and I attempted to shot it's cheeks because it have some sort of very slight weakspot, but almost none of them hits, let alone wiggle with that speed

It should me most armored tank in game but people can pen you right through upper plate with calibrated shells

The type 71 has literally only 400 alpha with no dpm and mediocre accuracy , the mobility makes it somewhat playable but if you really want to nerf it , buff the accuracy and dpm so it can be somewhat fun or else it will just collect dust into the garage.

I barely see any type 71s, and when I do, I don’t seem to have problems dealing with them. I’m more scared or sheridans, waffletraktors, and kraknwagns. oh, and obj 263. those are annoying.

This is my best performing Tier X in terms of Average DMG and Average XP. But win rate is below 50%... :(

I don’t think that this Tank need a nerf. For me the type 71 is really easy to penetrate. The lower plate is really easy to hit and the side armor is really weak. And I am using a Maus or the 50tp prototype or the type 61 ( I never use premium shells). I think the 50tp prototype is a much better tank even as a tier 9. it is a lot faster. I’m actually disappointed that the type 71 is that weak because it was one I wanted to grind for.

Lower plate is nerfed by around 30mm

I once held off like 5 tanks and then my team could catch up and easily crush them.

As a 60 TP player i can agree that i baunce 95 % of my shoot's on Type 71 and it's not fun to fight aginst it And yes when you have Type 71 evryone is shooting the tank with no mercy

Type 71 is good tanks it doesn’t need a nerf all you need is little bit of game knowledge & skill to deal with it & also only good thing about types71 is it’s armour if WG nerf it’s only good point then what’s the poin in grinding this ten three line it has average DPM low Alfa compared to other tier 10 heavy’s & low HP compared to super heavy’s that’s why I don’t think this tank need nerf only thing that need those who complain about this tank is getting good at game

type 71 has already been nerfed, why nerf it again, in comparison to the IS4, IS4 has good side turret and side hull armor, also less weakpoints on the cheeks. After nerf there won't be many tanks that you can actually have fun in tier 10
