What a great imagination and artistic talent No longer in existence Tragic

Not many people know about *this* Tom and Jerry, but I do thanks to a DVD of mine having about two or three of their cartoons on it. Entertaining guys.

Man, I really miss these old cartoons where they didn't feel it necessary to inject any realism into the scenario.

I have outgrown toilet humor, but the train definitely pooped it's passengers.

There's a skeleton inside us all.

Ah yes, the original Tom and Jerry! Later renamed Dick and Larry when MGM's cat and mouse hit the scene to avoid confusion. Their appearance always reminded me of Abbott and Costello.

This is a different version than the cat and mouse. They later named these two Dick and Larry to avoid confusion

interesting fact: the part where the skeletons sing about being ready was reused in Plane Dumb.

Wow! The imagination of some of those cartoonists back then was really far out there. I suppose we should realize though, hallucinogenic drugs were prevalent back then too.

I didn't know about the human Tom and Jerry..I don't like the cat and mouse, too violent. This is prime stuff. Love the anthropomorphic objects especially.

This cartoon was from a time when cartnooists portrayed black people which would not be allowed today also the black skeletons were made for the reason of the song which is in the other Tom and Jerry cartoons.

That's the secret the cartoon tells is tom and jerry are really dead and don't want it known, yet in many cartoons others expose their secret that they are dead but doing living people things because they are in denial of the fact they are dead.😮😂

Tom and Jerry were originally 2 men and the morbid secret of the cartoon is they are 2 dead men that try to hind the fact they are dead, yet others in the cartoon expose their secret that they are dead which makes it a morbid cartoon. Years later some else created a different Tom and Jerry cartoons with a cat and mouse.

They all jump after the dice because in the 30s there were 2 stereotypes of black people you saw in EVERYTHING: eating watermelons and gambling with dice.
