Thank goodness for this video. I don't know if you've shared this trick with your colleagues in the USA. I sure didn't get this advice when I called for support, and the advice they did give didn't work. It was so frustrating. Today, I combined their advice to fill the hose with water first with your advice to turn the machine upside down. Finally, after months of no success, it worked -- just in time to clean for the family visit.

You have no idea how much I appreciate your vid and fix. I was ready to invest in a new one. I guess I must visit the UK just to show my thanks.

BRILLIANT!!! I had cleaned the little filters, put it sideways and nada. A bit counterintuitive to turn it upside down and pour water in it but it's 100% effective. Thank you.

Hey just brought one turn on dry air lock watched this video turn the upside down unit it primed took about 4 mins but it worked thanks for this video

The air lock I had was not in the sprayer but the hose, the sprayer worked ok when bypassing the hose

Just had this problem,went & tried it by turning it upside down, job done & sorted 👍

What I normally do is set your water supply bucket higher and keep the gun on the floor level and start powering it until the air is gone. Keep it at 5 secs interval so motor won’t heat up.

I use mine with my detail business and I shortened the hose and it works way better but thus is great tips

Ours was brand new and it would not pump even with the little straw did the pop bottle trick with the straw upside down and squeezed yes it worked oh by the way our first one we left it out in the garage and next spring it wouldn't even turn on they told me that even a little cold froze it and they would not replace it for us cuz it was past the warranty so this new one has been in the house the whole time

I used mine once last year. Now it's not spraying water and I haven't a clue what the issue is :(

Won't work on mine, the suction is very low any other reason ?

I have tried with the jug nothing is working the water sits in the hole... please advise I have no hose it has drawn no water at all seems like there is no suction even using jug method. Sorted now gave the unit a shake whilst upside down .... all that effort for the dissapointment that ensued... on full power not as strong as a hosepipe if you squeeze the end tbh

Hi Ross, this model shown is the standard Hydroshot but there is a brushless version WG630e.1. Hope this helps.

Mine does not work. Why do you have to do all this to make it work. I’m sending mine back. Mine is defective. I tried everything you said… no go

They are well loved by hundreds of thousands of customers around the globe. Perhaps you were expecting something different from the product. It's logically never going to be as powerful as a plug-in one but it definitely has it's uses, sometimes is more ideally suited to certain uses than a plug in, and it can be used anywhere even where there is no water or power supply!
