It's an ABSOLUTE UNIT! Crazy amounts of Torque. It even goes past Milwaukees 1 inch battery monster. I'm well into Herc's line of tools. Love my Ultra. The 961 does work with a simple 5 Amp battery. Imagine what it would do with a 8, 12 or 15 Amp battery. If they ever go on sale, I'd Def consider a buy. The vibration though

Snap on builds these in the US some parts are foreign sourced so they can’t use the “Made in the USA” designation. A note on price , one thing this testing does not take into account is durability. As a twenty year dealer I’ve seen a rare handful of these 1/2 inch impacts come back on warranty. This is a professional tool not intended or designed for the homeowner market. Our intended customers knock the smack out of these tools for hours, months, and years. These can also be rebuilt off warranty for years extending their useful life for career techs by using snap ons flat rate repair program.

Mine broke 2 months in after using a 1 3/4” socket but got warrantied / rebuilt . Some spring broke internally that made the hammers connect . Seems good now , haven’t used it yet . Had the tool in 2 weeks delivered at work . Honestly , the warranty and support you get from the truck ( if they’re good and like ya ) really is a part of the price tag . I had no worries at all with mine . Plus , the coworker sent out a Milwaukee 1/2” impact to get rebuilt and it was over 6 months before he heard anything . I don’t even think he got it back . Ended up getting the company to get him a 3/4”

Simply not worth it.Too expensive for what it is.That is why my snap on dealer is going out of business,he doesn t sell anything anymore. The competition is cheaper and better.

I still dont understand why people buy Snapon tools,Mac,matcoor any other tool truck rip offs I was a mechanic for over30 years and used craftsman tools from day one.Snap on tools are very good but are way over priced Some of the newer Korean tools are very good quality and and match snapon for a much cheaper price. So if you want to spend 30 or more bucks for a srew driver go ahead and waste your money, I never have been in a tool truck and and never will. Just like this impact at over A THOUSAND bucks when Milwakee and Dewalt and others are less than half this price
