Haha good owl Richard the legend 😂 your a gentleman my friend
As a local growing up here in the 70s and 80s everything was different then, life was so much slower and friendly and cost free. This is a perfect example of corporate exploration of a then a simple farming town! My father ran a grocery store in the so called Queenstown mall when traffic ran through it. I Fucking hate this place!!!!!!!!!!!

It sure has changed, I first went there when I was 6 years old in 1970 with family , it's one of my favourite memories, we stayed in one of the cabins behind the Bottle house , I remember the grocery store you mentioned, Danes adventure tours , the huge trout and eels at the jetty, the original bubble shaped gondolas, the Meteor Hyrdrofoil , The Earnslaw, the U drive jet boats and trail bike rentals ( a fleet of Honda XL 100's) Popeye Lucas at Cecil Peak , this wasn't all in 1970 , we went there many times later on. It was touristy then but on a much smaller scale. I loved it back then , it made a pleasant change from being in Dunedin
love it 1:30 your outside the Queenstown mews, literally a timeshare that has been in my Family for 30+ years, My parents brought it off my Grandparents a while back so we are down in QT for a reasonable price to stay there a week or 2 every year or so I feel grateful.. Yes I get it cost are high in QT but thats what you get for premium tourist towns no matter what country in the world.. though if you can get there the scenary, culture and atomosphere is free!

Hey hope your well! Wow that’s amazing actually a great way to get accommodation sorted when you’re down. Saves you a lot of money!
I'm a kiwi and heading to queenstown on 31 March. Good tips as I havent visited for 40yrs.
Thanks guys for showing us around today
Looked like a fun day out, without huge crowds. Great way to enjoy the town.
What a full day! Awesome views, amazing food, fantastic company......what more could you wish for? 😊 Thank you for sharing the fun Mado and Glen! 👏 👏 👍👍 🙌 💫 💫 😀🙋♀️
Kia ora Glen and Mado, I have been enjoying watching your videos and seeing my countrt through your eyes. The Keppler Track episode was epic. Make sure that you are at an Irish pub on Saint Patrick's day - it is a big thing in New Zealand.
The first video I saw of you guys was your trip around in Otautahi Christchurch. Great to see you were enjoying the city I was born and raised in! Been to Queenstown back in 2021 and Arrowtown. I went during the early summer months in December January.
Great to see you's having an awesome time.👍♥️

Cecil Peak is the closest mountain and Walter Peak is the pointier one further away.. one of my favourite places…not so much the CBD .. yes it’s great to have lots of money when you go, but I’ve also gone there several times on a tight budget.

Awh sure easily confuse my words sometimes! Knew someone would say something 😂🙌
The coffee, pies and cream doughnut at ferg pastry are amazing. Arguable better than the burgers for me 😂 Get on those Bluff oysters while they’re in season!
So many foreign trees could be mistaken for a garden in Europe somewhere.
Random thoughts to feed algorithms. Frisbee Golf. Wellington on a plate, burgers are the best. As a Kiwi I could live in Queenstown if away from the busy centre, I have no interest in the tourism hustle and bustle. Just quietly if I could i would change Palmerston North's city motto it would be "sssh don't tell anyone". We don't get hords of tourists and the city empties out on public holidays! First city in Aotearoa to 100% electric public bus transport. We have botanical gardens, river walks, cycleways, excellent cafés and restaurants. No traffic to speak of. We have a mini train you can ride on! No. We have two mini trains you can ride on. Also grownup trains.

Hahah yeah good titles buddy! Did you make them up yourself?? I mean everyone has there interests and we respect that a lot ❤️ Palmerston north is definitely a hidden gem and very quite. We have been there for 2 nights actually but mado was very sick then so we didn’t make any videos at the time. We will be back anyways to make a video of it!
How much longer are you in the country for and what country next love your videos been watching since India ❤
Last time I was in Queenstown I brought along my electric skateboard. Getting into and around town was much more fun. By the tail-end of my trip, covid was taking over the world, which made it a lot easier to get Ferg burgers 😅
A lot of NZ fire stations are maned by volunteers so they use the siren to call them for duty. Those burgers got the juices flowing for sure.
Is it Guinness o'clock.....😂😂😂❤
Hi there Mado and Glen, Qtown is a tourist destination.. fleecing tourists is the norm, sadly. I’m seriously thinking about heading down there, after watch you two. Everywhere is expensive at the moment. I’d still give it a go. How do you think it compares to , say, northern hemisphere, safety, price, easiness of living away?
@GlenAndMado

Hey hope your well! It’s definitely an amazing place! Even Wanaka is an option which is a mini version of queenstown and definitely more peaceful and abit more on the cheap side. When it comes to safety it’s actually so safe and there’s no one stealing or anything. Everyone leaves there doors open and cars unlocked a lot of the time too. Prices are quite all the same around the country anyways when it comes to food and stuff.
Hope you visit Lake Hawea its Shangrila for sure and gobto Pembroke Patisserie in nearby Albert town- I prefer Lake Hawea to Wanaka less touristy

Business owners are forced to charge higher prices for their goods because of the high rents they pay , Queenstown would be one of the highest charge for rents per square m than anywhere else in NZ .
