I'm loving this new series Ashley! I love how you mentioned how the price isn't worth it for the average consumer and that many brands produce the same shoe but to a lesser extent and for a fraction of the price. Sometimes people get caught up in fashion that it blinds them when they purchase items (eg. 400 dollar sneakers) and they just justify it by saying "the quality is the best on the market" WHICH MAY BE TRUE, however, it is just a shoe. I've purchased a cheap knock-off of white vans from Urban Planet for $10 and they were terrible and broke within 2 months of wearing them. But I've also purchased Chelsea boots from HM and they still hold up perfectly even though I've worn it in the rain, snow and probably about 3 times a week since August 2017. Cheap things can last a long time, as long as you care for them.

So I bought these. I figured that’s why I got recommended this video. I love these.

As a runner, I had an aversion to sneakers with thick flat soles because they don't look very flexible and creates big creases on the toe box. But ever since I started upgrading my wardrobe, I've been more accepting of the style. I'm loving this series! Keep doing more on products most people are on the fence with.

I got these for half the price and I could not be happier. A pair of CPs gives so much confidence each and every time and they look even better when worn in - absolutely worth the big investment.

I have the white pair in this video and I absolutely love them, I want more tbh! They go great with anything and pretty much any season too. It does take a while to break them in and make them to your own comfort though. But, she's right on the part that they start to look even better when they have some miles added to them!

Guys you do a great job !!! A few day I just bought some Keneth Cole white sneakers for about 110 AUD they look very similar to Hugo Boss white sneakers I don't know if you have had a chance to have a look at them but for me they seem to be good quality and the design is very clean too. CHEERS

Hi - great videos. Appreciate the info you share constantly. Need advice - looking for a luxe pair of white sneakers. Had the Achilles at the top of my list.... but now I am looking at Tom Ford’s Warwick (all white). Any comparison or impression on the TFs? I understand the different price points, so really more focused on style. Ideally planning to wear them as casual shoes, but certainly would be open to pairing with office wear (light suiting) during the summer months. Thanks!

Agreed. While the esthetic of these are a1 being a Gap/Uniqlo shopper i am happy with cheaper alternatives. Trying to convince myself to buy a shoe that literally speaking costs more than half of my mortgage is not and option.

Great review of Common Projects. I would be very interested in your views on Duffel Coats. You haven't done any content on them and they are great. I recently bought a Gloverall mid-length Duffel and it's awesome. It's in the same family as the overcoat and peacoat, but probably a bit more casual. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Keep these kind of videos coming - I’ve been debating whether or not to get a pair of CP’s. I have a pair of their suede olive color chelsea boots and like them. Got em for $322 out the door at a Nordstrom sale. They had the sneakers on sale too for about the same price. Are Bottega Venetta or Saint Laurent Chelsea Boots worth the near 1k price tag?

Great video - You say they have no equal but the Swedish Eric Schedin white sneaker is even more minimally designed, also very comfortable and runs in at 240USD.

i owned these and absolutely loved them. the leather itself is pure quality, they feel and look amazing. I got a lot of compliments for these and most people didn't even know the brand. They'll feel uncomfortable at first (like all leather sneakers honestly) but once they mould to your feet it's just pure joy. Yes, the price is high, but you are paying for premium material and superb design, not to mention their durability. I would pay those 400 euros again if i had too.

I’ve got 2 pairs of the Achilles low, owned 3 before (sold them). As well as 2 pairs of the CP chelsea boots in suede and the CP derby. By far my favourite brand of shoe, you can build so many outfits with them. They last a long time and very easy to sell for very little loss years down the road. 100% would recommend. You truly feel the quality when you wear them. You get many questions and looks, especially with my Achilles low blush pink shoes, my favourite.

Daniel Mountain You’ve got the idea man! People need to understand that if you invest in something buy paying a little more. You’ll be able to get a return, as these can easily resell for half price. You can then buy another brand new pair.

Your assessment is pretty much spot on! A lot of competitors are coming up with a similar product, but I still think CP looks the best. I got a pair for around $250 when they were on sale at Farfetch. It's still not cheap for a pair of sneakers, but it's worth it at the reduced price.

Can you talk about The Royale from Greats? Nice in-between CPs and Stan Smiths.

I think these are worth it. I put like 50 bucks away for a few months and bought these 4 years ago and have worn them almost daily since... I’ve changed the laces out a couple times but the sneakers still look great. I would’ve gone through a few pairs of converse or Stan Smiths by now.

Im an average consumer and i saved up for these. IMO these are worth the price point. They are high quality and aesthetically on point, as mentioned in this video.

Nice top ashley and also haircut, where is the top from? :) To the sneakers, dont know about US, but in europe you have a lot of high quality alternatives (especially in different colours) for much better price (still not cheap though). Especially local brands.

Hi you should have discussed the cost per wear for this product. Quality is always more important than cost. A product that last for years will always cost less than one that last a few months. I really enjoyed this luxury review. I know you always list designer and budget friendly items, but I would like to see more luxury item reviews. I really enjoy your channel.

If you buy them from online european sites like Norse Store or END you can get an out of EU discount. I got my second pair for $360 shipped from Norse Store. First pair was from Nordstroms when I didn't know about this.

Hi, I own a silver pair of Achilles low (I didn't find any other statement shoes that was as cool as this one) and I would say a strong contender would be the french brand National Standard with their Edition 3. The white ones are almost perfect, more comfortable right from the start and the price point is largely lower!

Beyond worth, I have three pairs. I've worn them for years. Two pairs I've had for four years. They still look really new and the leather is so soft. They go with everything and people love them. Oh btw the all white BBall low that I own are even nicer. Also get them on Tres-bien if you in America you get 20% off.

Took the words out of my mouth. Been on CPs for years as well. Aside from a pair of nike trainers, it's the only sneakers I wear anymore. I daily the all whites and get compliments on them all the time. It's not even about that either, I just love them.

@@nmartin5700 I clean mine once every few months. White leather shoes especially good leather like the common projects hold up. White canvas is a no go. Also, they are very easy to clean. Sometimes I just use cleaning wipes lol.

I have a pair of white Mercanti Fiorentini 48600 sneakers. I got them from DSW on sale for $60. The common projects look great, but I can’t imagine spending that much in sneakers when another pair looks just as good, also great quality, and a fraction of the price.

Loving the content, keep it up. Fall is coming and would like your take on some boots. I’ve been eyeing the Taft dragoon boot in rust and have ordered the Sheldon along with the Merchant from Red Wings (keeping only 1). I was also able to pick up some factory second from Red Wings I keep seeing other YTers pushing Thursday boots but for some reason I can’t pull the trigger on them. I’m not into them. No reason behind it aside from the fact that most of not all YTers are pushing it and it seems a little suspect. Am I missing out? Mahalo from Hawaii!

Brown Thought Thursday Boot sure has some aggressive marketing but allegedly there are quality control issues. Word is you should never buy them from Amazon. I'll probably wait a couple of years before buying a pair. That'll give them time to work out the kinks.

I love this channel

Personal preference with everything. I find these to be the best quality sneakers I’ve ever owned, after one year of wearing everyday I still get asked “Hey, are those new sneakers?” Because they look flawless still. The leather is buttery and comfortable from the first wear, I’ve walked all over London and Paris in these and not even got a blister. With everything you get what you pay for, I’ve had cheaper brands like Stan Smiths, and Zespa’s and they are not even close to CP’s

What about the clean 90s from axel arigato? I've heard awesome things and they're about half the price of the common projects.

8 pairs of common project sneakers later, Achilles low original white still my favorite. All of the CP shoes are long lasting.

I was very unsure about these at first and bought new republic version of these and was happy. Then I decided to try these out in all gray and they are totally worth it if you’re not breaking your neck to afford them.

I’m in the same boat as you Jason, I went with the New Republic first and was satisfied but found the CP on StockkX for $220 and took the plunge. Well worth it! The differences were immediately apparent even though the New Republic version is damn good.

Hi. Do you need to know your exact size when ordering common projects. Depending on the shoe type, manufacturing etc, I nearly always have to try on a half size up or down when trying down in a shop. What I'm trying to say is, if they didn't fit , can they be sent back for a different size?

Yes, they can be sent back. They run about a half size large so keep that in mand. I like some room in the toe so I just ordered my size, but if you want them more snug, order a half size lower. I got mine last week and love them.. BTW, if they are a little roomy, just lace them a bit tighter and they should be fine.

Enjoyed the perspective. Though I’d have to respectfully disagree about giving them as much design credit as the video did. This silhouette was taken from the Adidas Stan Smith so it is really only the materials and craftsmanship that gives them some credibility. That being said, Koio and Oliver Cabell are fairly competitive in their price range as well.

Take a look at the Jak royal white. Recently bought them, because I was looking for a good common projects alternative. They have, in my opinion, a much cleaner design and only cost 140€. (I’m not affiliated to this company, just want to let you guys know of this alternative)

we need to know how long they last.. i buy cheap shoes and they last about 8 months and i dont even work with my shoes on. I went with Standard Fair instead. its focused on quality.

They are perfect, but not great value when you look at other options that are very close in quality, common project being "by far the best" is a crazy statement, same sole, same leather same factory ......with CP you are certainly getting nothing exclusive, they are just pretty cool having a pair, this style is a must so go for it👌

Greats brand royale or cp achilles low?

In the uk I can get an almost identical pair for £5 from primark that will stay white for just as long and therefore last as long 😂

Although the CP is the perfect sneaker IMO, for most people I think Svensson will be a great alternative. I believe they both come from the same manufacturer.
