I just want to say that this review is 100% correct. I am currently here in Ocean El Faro with my boyfriend and this is our 3rd day. We’re hungry. The only time can eat is during breakfast. We’re not picky people but we will not eat raw, food that has been touched by flies in the buffet or birds at the snack bar. Spoke to a manager and two supervisors but nothing will be done. Employees serve Spanish speaking guests first so you will not get your food or drinks within 30-4minutes and have to wait longer. Never again. Thank you for this honest review!

Thank you for verifying and keeping us updated hopefully something changes soon. We went months ago and for people to still be going through this same thing is terrible. We hope the rest of your trip is better than what it has been. Nobody wants to spend money and go through those things.

I disagree with this.. I have been here even when it just opened and it's a great resort. It is a new resort as it's only about 3 years old now. I never had problems there at all. I am a H10 Premium member and have been to many H10 resorts. If you want a room on the main strip you will need to deal with more noise. I recommend that you go Privilege as you also have access to the private beach, privilage lounge and the upscale drinks as well as a private concierge who will make all your reservations for you. In the 7 years I have been going to H10 resorts including this resort I've never had a problem getting a reservation. There is an adult only pool with swim up bar and there is also an adults only section of the resort called el beso. So you can avoid the families during the day if you want. In this video they evidently didn't pay for privilage (typically $200 per person per week). The minibar would be stocked with beer and liquor as well as soda and water. Also you get 24 hour room service with a full menu. As far as the food is concerned I would say it's pretty good. Don't do the American BBQ as it's just not up to snuff but the italian, mexican and steak house are all VERY good. Never did blue moon as it's french and I'm not a french fan. The hibachi restaurant is hit or miss, El Faro I would say was good but in Mexico's Ocean Paradise is better. The buffet has some standards but the features change every night and it opens early for breakfast and then closes around 10AM for two hours then opens again for lunch. So not being able to get food is just not true. Once again if you go privilaged the Privilage lounge/restaurant is 5 star. The pools close earlier in the winter than in the summer as they typically close when the sun goes down. If they closed at 6PM in the summer then that is new but then again I'm also ok with that as typically this when I'm getting ready to head for dinner and drinks we with my family and friends. As far as things to do.. There are kayaks and sailboats which are free and jet skis as well as parasailing all from the beach for a fee. There are games and other activities throughout the day. I'm guessing that these reviewers didn't know about them or bothered to find out. Sports wise you have the gyms (I've been to better but I've been to worse), Tennis, Pickleball, basketball and aerobics. Every night is themed and there are shows both in the theater as well as outside. They also have a sports bar with free pool as well as a free bowling alley. All with bars as well. for the kids there is a daisy club and teens club that offers full day care at no cost. The teens club has table games (pool, table tennis and foosball) as well as all the latest consoles and games XBOX Series X, PS5. The lazy river is great for both kids and adults as starts and stops at a swim up bar. By far my favorite thing to do. Shot, Iceberg drink, rinse.. repeat. The spa is really nice and also offer hydrotherapy along with a full menu of spa treatments.

I'm also staying here was booked for adult side and they try to make me pay a up charge to change from the kid side,that's the first problem.also I will never book with apple vacation or fun jet or Expedia cruises.because once you book the will not help you if they make a mistake or ask them to help you with there mess up.now back to the hotel I checked in at 2pm and never got to bed till 12am the next day,1st room was nasty,fridge didn't work stains in bed and on the loveseat, it took 3 hours to be put in a new room so the 2nd room had no wash towels or face towels and no patio furniture smelled of mold had a humidifier in the room and I started getting sick so I waited waited for them to come and check the room took 4 hrs to accommodate me and the only reason is because I had to walk up to the front desk and talk to the manager. 3rd room ceiling fan is lose making loud noise while it turns I never been to a all exclusive with this many problem in my life, the want to help you by not helping you I will never come to this old run down resort again or I would never use the company's service to reserve a trip ever in this life. Horrible......

They actually made us sign a statement basically that we wouldn't sue them in order to get the third room. We tried leaving but no flight out that day. It was like extortion. If you want healthy are to breathe you have to sign and keep your mouth shut.

No it’s not adults only they have an adults only section of the resort though.

I wouldn’t want to participate in any activities, but it’s kind of weird that they don’t have anything going on. The atmosphere would be so different.

A few. The best food is the specialty restaurants so make your reservations early. The hibachi spot was really good. Also see if they can give you an event schedule so you can see what’s going on around the resort. Save your feet use the train when you can and enjoy yourself 😎

Lol to be real this resort price is Cheap compared to others i do a lot of Excursions so almost everyday when i travel so I’m tired when I get back but your reviews on the food did it for me , thats one thing i will pay extra for but how were the drink quality and i will probably pay for a privilege room i think you have access to better drinks with that.

Yeah punta cana was on the expensive side as a whole so we figured we would have a better all around experience. We heard the privilege was better alcohol but everything was still closed super early and barely events even when we went over to the adults only side so it didn’t seem beneficial to spend anymore money for us. Hopefully we just caught them during a slow time or something and the experience changes. We hope you have a great trip 💜

We have never been to an all inclusive resort where you have to pay for a special package to get better food that’s ridiculous. The standard prices were more than we paid for a lot of great resorts. We just have higher expectations for our money

That decision is solely up to you guys we just wanted to share our experience from our perspective. We hear that other people enjoy the resort and amenities that they offer. We just weren’t impressed by our standard. Definitely feel like you should check it out and see if you like it from you and your bf perspective.

Y'all are killing me! We are going at the end of June and now I am wondering if we made the right choice, especially regarding the food because we like to eat! 😅
