    Miss Swan Honesy I conciser Red to be pretty decent. It’s defiantly not one of Weezer’s best and it’s certainly not one of their worst. It does have a few dumb moments like “Troublemaker” and “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived,” but honestly a few of it’s B-sides are actually pretty good.

    I would agree in the 2000s when it dropped. Oddly enough (for me at least), Encore has aged well because of the more personal and serious-toned tracks (Evil Deeds, Yellow Brick Road, Like Toy Soldiers, Mosh, Mockingbird, and the deluxe tracks). I think if he wasn't on drugs (Just Lose It, Ass Like That, Puke, etc) and kept the humor to a minimum, this could've been a solid follow-up to The Eminem Show. Of course not everyone's a fan of Encore, but I'm glad to say in 2018 that Encore is not the worst Eminem album ever.

  • @BrokenGodEnt

    @BrokenGodEnt

    6 жыл бұрын

    TES to Encore was a far bigger quality drop. When Relapse dropped people were saying it was awful, and that it was his worst album. Now people say Relapse is one of his best. People like to hate on shit just because it's trendy to do it. Revival is definitely not his worst album. Production wise it may be, but content wise as a whole... Not even close.

  • @nathanshlap

    @nathanshlap

    Samuel Muganyizi Encore had only 4 songs that I don't like both in concept and in sound: Ass Like That, Just Lose It, Puke, and Crazy in Love. The rest were either deeply satirical (Big Weenie, My First Single, Rain Man, Evil Deeds), or were genuinely good(The rest). Also, all of the bonus tracks were great. But then again, MMLP2 wasn't that great so it could go either way.

  • @godnotavailable2094

    @godnotavailable2094

    Cookie Crumber I would honestly call that a rise in quality. Reload has a shit ton of filler considering it was basically a collection of scraps picked up from Load. What's worse, most of that filler is actual COUNTRY MUSIC, from METALLICA. I liked St. Anger though.

  • @godnotavailable2094

    @godnotavailable2094

    6 жыл бұрын

    GoldNinja Vlogspot I never said that. Many genres, like folk rock and even some earlier Metallica songs ("Fade to Black" comes to mind) use an acoustic guitar in a non-country fashion. Country music is primarily about the vocals. Lyrically, no, Reload doesn't have any country songs (god forbid), but James' vocal delivery sounds like a goat, the same way that many post-grunge bands like Nickelback and Three Doors Down carry out lyrical themes typical of rock but bend their vocals in such a way that remind me of country.

    I still think Reputation receives far too much slander. It's still a pretty great electropop album, and it's not nearly bad enough compared to others on the list. What comes to mind for me is: Born This Way -> Artpop Yours Truly -> My Everything (My Everything is still a great pop album but compared to honestly one of the best debuts of the decade it's a huge step down)

  • @takemyhand1988

    Artpop receives far too much slander. Reputation was bad because the reasons he says. Consider shake it off and lwymmd. While shake it off had simple lyrics, the idea of the song was that. A fun playful song. Then lwymmd, it is supposed to be super dark and serious, still the songwriting is like a school child. Then gorgeous, oh my god. I really wanted to give up on Taylor after seeing the songwriting on that.

    Does anyone remember the band Finch? They were a post-hardcore band that made their debut in the early 2000s, and they had a disappointing/worst shift in quality, according to the fanbase and critics, from their debut, "What It Is to Burn" to "Say Hello to Sunshine". (Even though I do like one of the singles from that album)

    Say hello to sunshine is easily my favorite finch album. I can see why fans of their previous album didn't like it though because it was so drastically different than their debut (essentially it was really dark and had elements of prog and mathcore, and was all over the place in a great way imo) but yeah, i love that album lol. I think it's more split across the fanbase in that i don't know many people who love both albums (personally I thought their debut was just okay), but yeah it was definitely panned pretty hard on release unfortunately.

    I'm glad you acknowledged Collapsible Lung on this countdown. I'm not even a Christian, but that record was one of the most disappointing experiences in musical discovery for me. I love FANSD dearly and will often listen to it. So many tracks on CL are just over produced messes that don't sound like the incredible song writing we've come to expect from Thiessen. Only song from that one I enjoy is Collapsible Lung. Great video!

    For me it’s Black Sabbath from Sabotage to Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die. NSD isn’t bad but compared to the original 6 Sabbath albums it’s a pretty big drop. You could do the reverse of comeback albums too. Sabbath takes it again with Heaven and Hell which I feel perfected the traditional heavy metal sound with Dio.

    1. GALLOWS, one of my favourite bands, followed up "Grey Britain" -- their magnum opus and the most important Hardcore album to come out of the UK in 30 years -- with a self-titled record that showcased the band creatively hanging themselves. Frank Carter weaving his British accent into his vocalwork and grounding his lyrics in issues pertinent to the UK made him a unique frontman during his era with the band (because singing with the accent isn't common in the UK).... buuuuuuuut he took these things with him when he left Gallows over creative differences, and they replaced him with Wade MacNeil of Alexisonfire, who has led the band into generic territory. 2. FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND. Their sixth and penultimate album "Conduit" is a fantastic record which I found to be their best since their sophomore album "Hours" at the time of its release. It was an exceptional return to form for them and showcased a rejuvenated Funeral. When they announced they were going to call it quits following a seventh studio album in 2015 though, I was quite bummed.... but also excited for how their final offering was going to sound. Nothing prepared me for "Chapter and Verse", and by the end of my first listen through it, I was left speechless..... BY HOW BAD IT WAS. It was the soundtrack of a band in shambles. They could not have chosen a better name for the record, because the band members were on different chapters and verses. My first listen through, was my last and I quietly held a funeral for this friend.

    Great video this.... I can think of a few examples from the top of my head like, - Radiohead (In Rainbows to King Of Limbs): I don't really get King Of Limbs, as an album it's existence is bizarre and it's my least favorite album from the band. Though not everyone has the same feeling that I have -Foo Fighters (Wasting Light to Sonic Highways): Sonic Highways seemed like a school project that Dave Grohl and his fellow groupmates felt obliged to complete, but eventually it falls flat - Maroon 5 (Hands All Over to Overexposed): Fuck this band,seriously !! - The Strokes (Angles to Comedown Machine): Angles had great variety and some new sounds for The Strokes while still keeping their original sound in place. Comedown Machine never really clicked for me... the band tried a bit too hard on this one - Linkin Park (Hunting Party to One More Light): How does a band go from progressive metal to electronic pop in the space of 3 years ??? Never understood what was their idea. Though I like some of the songs on One More Light, it was so trying to be trendy and unfortunately unoriginal

    I truly will never understand how people praise Future Hearts. I’ve been a lifelong ATL fan and I don’t dislike it - it’s good. But it’s their weakest album for me. Kids in the Dark especially - the instrumental sounds so cheap and unreal and I can’t stand it. The only songs I come back to often are Satellite, Runaways, Missing You, Cinderblock Garden, Tidal Waves, Bail Me Out, and The Edge of Tonight. The rest of it ? I could forget it exists to be honest.
