I actually had some fiber optic Lego pieces (from the UFO line, I think). Funny too, I just liked the molded spaceship parts and aliens, I didn't care about the battery or light gimmicks and never did, still don't. Also was never fond of cannons that really physically shoot stuff, or "stud shooter" guns, or flick-fire missiles. Hinges and turntables are the only motion elements I like in my Lego builds...
