In Sweden the car idling law is also a thing. It exist to not have unnecessary dangerous gases go in to the atmosphere to try and reduce our carbon footprint. In most cars I know you could at least turn on the electricity (and the AC) and not turning the engine off by turning the car key half way.

Yeah, it's meant to help counter bad air quality and lower environmental impact. Back in the day, on my old car, in order for me to use the AC, the engine also needed to remain running...otherwise my battery would drain off, leaving me stranded (even when it was a new battery). I disconnected the audio system completely, had the car serviced twice, the alternator replaced with a factory OEM model and it still changed nothing. The dealer couldn't solve the drain issue and so I got a new car. I kept the troublesome car in the garage and I'm still working on it myself because I want to find out what's the issue. It's my weekend project. 🔎🤓🛠

The only thing is about the Karen in the craft store is that maybe she had a valid reason for not wearing a mask (like I’m exempt because I can’t breathe properly when I put one on). But yeah she totally needed to calm down about it. Maybe if she was polite etc. but she might have had a good reason for not wearing one. We shouldn’t treat people differently because they have an illness.
