Yeah I know what you Mean man the Nostalgia is real, I got this game when I was 8 for the PS2 cool thing was My dad had gotten me the OG PS3 for Christmas which was backwards compatible, I'll never forget how cool it felt playing this game on my Top Bunk in my room with that Wireless Dualshock 3 for the 1st time. It felt futuristic to my 8 year old self.

I really hope Peter’s moves in the intro were a homage to *that* dancing scene in Spider-Man 3. Big Bully Maguire vibes at times there

The DS version of this game its really impressive actually, its an open world game with several vehicle types to choose from, including helicopters.

The DS versions of Transformers (2007) are definitely the best versions of the first movie's tie-in games (with the Decepticons version being the best one).

"What did I do wrong?" I dunno, ben, it did say in the mission briefing that you had a time limit after showing a cutscene of comms trucks escaping and there was a timer ticking down to zero in the middle of the screen while you chased vehicles heading to the edges of the map. I feel like those might've been clues as to your objectives, no idea what they could mean though haha. Ya big goof haha.

I'll pay for that to return... Maybe make it a tier on Patreon? If they have X number of people at that specific price tier each month they'll bring those back? I've never subscribed (or whatever it's called) to any Patreon before, but I would for this. I have never used discord and don't give a flub about that. But I'd pay for the return of the stats screen. In fact... I'm not saying it's easy. I know nothing about video editing... But it's a short gif with some funny text. Can't be *that* much work right? Just that it's extra on top of what they already do... Can we just do them ourselves and send them in? I'm not suggesting 50 people a month send in different ones that they have to go through to make sure they aren't inappropriate for any number of reasons... But hire a freelancer they trust? Again... I'll chip in for their salary

I'm convinced Ben was supposed to keep a straight face when Peter came in, but was physically incapable of keeping his joy contained.

I loved this game back in the day, it felt like playing GTA but with Big Scary Robots instead of a regular dude.

I like to think the action is called “convert” because they paid for all the licensing but forgot to get permission to use “transform” 😂

Close. "Transform" and "transformers" are technically generic words that wouldn't be trademarkable today. Hasbro believes that if they used "transform" instead of "convert" as a verb they'd risk exposing just how generic the word really is and losing the trademark.

Bruh, i love this game, sure, nostalgia plays a part, but ill never forget getting it at gamestop as a kid and looking at tge transforming bumblebee on the cover of the case. I think for what it is its not bad. Especially for a movie game. You get to play both sides, collect items for bonus content and g1 character skins, and you get to enjoy open world free roam, to a limited degree, but still. I think its a 6/10

Fun Fact: Transformers have always officially “converted” as opposed to “transform” - at least when it comes to the original toys and not the cartoon.

yeah it's because they don't want "transform" to be a catch all term for a transforming toy, because if it becomes a generic term, they have a harder time maintaining their trademark on the very word their franchise is centred around.

Most people: "Yay facecam is back!" Me: "The friends are back!!! YYYEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHH!"

The DS version of this game was way more fun than the PS2 version

I actually think this game is an underrated classic, a hidden gem even. I have played this game several times since I first played it when I was 7, and this is not nostalgia talking. I played PS3 version though; I still love this game so much.

I've watched all episodes of WGE so far and never guessed a review % good or bad exactly until this very episode, you have no idea how happy about this I am!! Also, as a Converters fan I'm glad I never played this...particular installment.

That intro was fantastic, and the tv failing was an incredible way to end.

The game might not be the best, but saying it’s one of the “Worst” is a far stretch, it’s an decent game I’d say. Loved it as a kid but I know that it has flaws but it’s certainly not an Terrible game

That opening was fantastic!! 😂

I played this game when I was a child (not really, but when it came out) and it was crap back then too.... And I friggin love Transformers.

I was super naive about this. I really enjoyed it, but was convinced it was me who was bad at the combat, not that the combat was just pure DOGSHIT!!!!

I really loves this game as a kid. Completed it like 3 times i loved playing as megatron at the end. I found this game better than the games after this. I mean you could pick up cars and throw it at other transformers and hit them with light poles

As a kid it was a pretty fun game, haven't played it again in years, but really, is not that bad

I just started watching, so I don't actually know how this goes. But this was a personal favorite of mine when It came out. I was a dumb brain child at the time (the exact demographic they were aiming for I'm sure). So naturally I'm watching this with massive rose tinted goggles. Great job on this series. Good to see you in front of the green screen!

Me and my brother used to rent this from Blockbuster and wake up at 5 am just to play a few hours before school. No memory card meant no saving too, so the thrill of making it all the way to the big city level and playing as a fighter jet was so fun in the early morning with a couple toaster waffles.
