I was so excited for this game because of how it looks but the execution had been very disappointing.

And there are people who complain about Genshin not having a lot of interactions woth NPCs in their cities, when we have a glaring example of why it's not the best mechanic, like presented in Ni no Kuni.

@@combobreaker1059 I think it's because I've seen some gachas with the MC voiced. People put 2-3 star reviews that they don't want a voice so they can self-insert like Azur Lane, not kidding.

I've been playing since launch, my opinion: 1. As F2P you will be gated almost everywhere upon reaching lvl 40, quests and side contents alike. Chaos farming won't yield that much results either. 2. F2P in PvP contents, play at your own peril.

i hope the new seven deadly sins doesn't gets ruined by this company.

I saw someone who have all 5 characters at level 30 above I was like bruh this guy started the game from beginning for each and every character so I tried another character for myself and discovered that you can equip the same gear on all characters except the weapon which I liked a lot this made the new character breeze through the beginning content at a fast pace

Yup you get bonuses for leveling each characters class grades!! Boost to inventory space, terite, skills and bunch of other stuff

yeah, is recomended to level all 5 classes to 40 (since the yellow questline takes you almost there and you unlock accounwide storage slots by doing so. and that you shouldn't use any weapon coffer before you decide which class will be your main (since weapons aren accountwide) there are classes that aren f2p friendly (like destroyer, his main skill is behind the store, same with swordman)

Honestly I didn't mind the whole autoplay feature as it gave me something to do while I did other things like play better gacha games and think about Tower of Fantasy. The thing that really killed it for me was the huge monetization of the game oh you completed a simple thing here's a bundle like atleast 7 times of doing simple stuff there was a bundle for it all. I get a game has to make money but this was just disgusting and it was done very poorly.

it only does it the first time u do something. if u play the alts u dont get the bundles popping up. if u level up a second weapon the same as the first it wont pop up either.

The auto play is only for farming mobs, you can’t really use it for the story since it will not dodge roll or kite. So you’re essentially nerfing yourself really hard, and if you auto play a boss fight you’ll just get oneshot. It’s kinda a QoL feature for levelling alts and farming certain currency, you can’t actually autoplay and expect to get that far unless you’re very overpowered for the content you’re playing.

@@pete5516 Considering I steamrolled through content until roughly 40 in auto play I’d say it’s certainly possible and whales could easily just auto play everything since the max cp for content that I saw was what 900k? I saw that you could roughly reach an overall cp level of 3.1mil but I forget where I saw all this. 🤷‍♀️

@@Manbat440 highest CP of any player in global servers rn is about 1.3mil. Free to play players will be at about 200-400k. And no that’s not really how it works, you can autoplay the content if you are over-levelled, this means you will clear that content extremely fast and move on to the content that matches your power level which you will need to play manually. To sum it up, if you want to use the autoplay feature for most of the game you’ll have to pay quite a lot of money to keep that up, and even then you’ll just reach content that you have to play manually even faster if you’re spending more money. So like I said, you will be nerfing yourself and most whales in this game want to climb PvP elo and have the best gear so it’s not in their best interest to do that. you can autoplay the game, you will just be hardstuck way behind everyone else who at least uses dodge roll and manual abilities while letting the auto combat attack for them so they don’t have to spam the attack button

Yup. It's a disappointing direction.

"why cant you just turn off the auto feature if you dont like it?" The reason is they made a repeated "defeat the attacking enemies" and "reputation" quest and also a LEVEL LOCKED QUEST so that the game will force anyone to play with auto feature to catch up with others, auto feature gives the players who REALLY (real, as in play the game for real) wants to play the game a massive handicap if auto feature is not used. still playing the game, since im broke as f.

Looks like a lot of people played til about lvl 10 and quit. lol

Yeah NO … HARD PASS … although aesthetically pleasing, all the auto play/combat is a big negative for me. I want to play a game in this type of genre how I want, go where I want and at my own pace controlling my character for myself and not being forced to play like they want the player to play … even though you can shut off some of these auto settings it seems to severely handicap you in progressing in game smoothly. Such a shame … 😑

There was the Labyrinth. But that was a single room and completely auto. I didn’t see options for dungeons but they may have just been titled something else.

That nft has been addressed by netmarble. No much concern. I normally hate mmorpg games. This is the first I've actually enjoyed. That's saying something.

Oh and Stix, make one for the fate/night game. Idk, personally, I feel that the only thing that grabs your intention will be the various stories and the characters, but that is all. The gameplay is that of a 2014 gotcha game, oh and don't get me started on how much of a p2w it is. You either have to rush the story to earn gems or buy them.

You really don't do justice to how bad it is For instance the Crypto is in the global release only and acts as a stop/gating mechanism as you can buy a currency with the crypto called territe which is incredibly limited Gems and summoning tickets are sparse and rarely given out Enhancing, crafting, and evolving all require the limited crypto currency Store sells incredibly powerful upgrade packages for gems... which the game rarely if ever gives Game assualts you with Bundles and advertisements with about 6 different battle/progression passes with the progression passes having 4 seperate versions at increasing prices The rewards for playing the game get worse and I mean way worse with every act you complete. Field/World bosses rewards are based on ranking which means whales will always get the rewards and you'll get a fragment... Also worth noting crypto gating is only in global version JP version there is nothing substituted you just don't need it. IT is far worse than this video portrays Also every act ending has a Reputation gate that you are forced to grind either levels or daily rep quests to progress.

To me the game is not great but it is not bad either. The gacha is very fair, you get a lot of tickets to draw the gacha while playing. You compared the 1-star and 4-star pets combat powers and said the gacha will be pay 2 win, however I will disagree on this. Gacha is for only looks in the end, you can upgrade that 1-star into 4-star too and get the same combat power. Same goes for gears and I would say its much easier to do for gears than familiars. Gacha isnt gating your power gaining. You can also get combat power from collections, for example looking for chests in the wild and opening the certain chests you get cp. You get tons of crafting materials for weapons and armors in addition of farming in chaos gate. Field Boss appears every 6 hours so you have 4 chances a day to get in, world boss is 50 people "raid" which is usually before field boss appearing. I have totally different view from you, but I do respect your opinion. Although what comes to gacha, this game definetly isnt the worst. Only thing I hate is the game trying to nickel and dime you everytim you get some sort of achievment like getting level milestone etc. Oh and also hat ethe fact that what Netmarble tried to pull off. I also like the auto-battling atleast I can watch your streams while the game is running and I dont need to pay that much attention to my game.

Ok I stand corrected the gacha is totally pay2win after looking into it more carefully. The bonus stats are the ones that are insane on those equipments that starts at 4-stars. So yea, Ni No Kuni is another pay2win game. Sad really.

i dont mind the autoplay option but i hate that it is a built-in function instead of making it an optional function. on the other hand, at least i get to work on school while the game was on also i wish the ui wasnt so full. like theres so much going on, i cant close the world chat and theres contant pop-ups of some player getting this or whatever and not to mention the achievement and tutorial pop-ups that stays on screen for more than a few seconds instead of disappearing when you tap the screen like most mobile games

@@JoeBarrientes There is a way to disable auto-battle. But not many people know how to disable it. It took me until Lv.30 to even learn how.

great video! It really depends on the person, for me, I view the game as a good time waster (I mainly play for the story). Every gotcha games has its ups and down, and I personally play it while listening to the Witcher osts and some Celtic music, it makes me really feel that I'm actually in the game. and also what OST did you use as well? cheers!

I agree with your points. Everyone's been shilling this game lately, so I felt like trying it out (loved the Ghibli art style), I bailed the minute I caught a whiff of the focus on auto. Its also strange to me how devoid of life the world feels as far as gameplay goes. It looks vibrant and colorful, but there's nothing much to it as far as substance goes, which is a shame. It may or may not pop off eventually, but I don't know if this game will last that long (Netmarble).

The game is very misleading once you reach level 40+ 90% of the time you wont be using auto at all since you won't clear any content expect auto farming mobs for exp. The are so many different modes in this game the bosses actually are a challenge not just auto attack face roll the list is endless of positives. It's just a shame they made the game full auto at the start that instantly put 30% of its market ..off nothing is pay to win in this game either I REPEAT NOTHING everything can be obtained in game very easily. Honest do your research correctly before you start jumping on band wagon. Some of your point are valid but most aren't netmarble is to blame here. But people that have this game a bad review have returned to the game and are actually seeing the game for what it is. The beginner experience design was very poor but trust me after level 40 the game changes direction. The cash shop is for lazy People who are casuals but if you have a bit of time everything is obtainable in game and I don't mean 60 hours a week either I play 3 hours a day I'm 310,000 CP f2p . You never covered PvP which has 3 modes 1v1 3v3 6v6 also kingdom guild battle where you can take over the city. So much more content not reviewed. Honestly review the game again skip all the text and your see

@@nurusds3 100% not true everything is obtainable free to play, the skills are obtained by various different bosses, rare drops from normal monsters and also players trade the pages which you need to exchange with a merchant who appears at random every 2 hours in different locations. Not only that but there is a free gatch NPC with your use tickets on that also has the skill books as main prize this is down to luck really .. so much misinformation about this game it's actually sickening reviewers clearly incompetent at there jobs

I've been playing Ni No Kuni: Crossworlds since launch with no prior experience with the series, and I've got to say the main thing keeping me playing is that I found a pretty awesome guild before launch and playing with them is the best part. Other than that it's really grindy and the gacha sucks

Unfortunately, to get to the part of the game where you CAN'T just auto to get through, it takes way too long (World Bosses and Field Bosses, which are both on a timer, so you'll need to keep track of when they spawn and raid them with everyone else on the server). Luckily, the gacha element isn't as unbearable as you'd think, since everything can be gotten without using the IRL currency gacha (there's an in-game currency gacha with worse rates, in the form of item crafting and familiar hatching). The NFT thing can and will almost certainly be ignored by a majority of the playerbase.

I love it when you bash game for doing this. Not that the game itself is the issue, but the morality of the PR team. I still can't believe that they would want to ruin everything at launch.

This game is honestly very enjoyable at a casual level, and you can tell there was a lot of love put in here by the devs. Yes, there is a lot of "bundles" thrown at you. But aside from that, this has such a unique identity to it. I've been playing XIV for about three years consistently now, and have sunk over $500 on it alone, and that's just on the fee for entry (sub + game and expansions). Very burnt out with XIV rn, and this came in at a great time. I'll be cancelling my sub and focusing on Ni No Kuni for a while, as I'm enjoying it so much. I can play it on my PC, iPad and phone whenever I'm at work. Genuinely feel like this could be my go-to MMO for a bit, contrary to Stix's narrative.

I've heard a lot of shit about this game and it doesn't seem like it's worth playing to me, but I think the auto-battler is great. I play Azur Lane on auto at all times. I used to play NieR Reincarnation too, also on auto. I just find it way more convenient. I can understand having the game built around the auto system being an issue, though; it probably means the manual controls are terrible, which is, in fact, something I've seen people complain about. I also read the auto system doesn't stay off when you turn it off, which sounds super annoying.

It does stay off you have to turn off certain settings though. I don't really get the manual controls complaints because on mobile it is completely fine for me. And on PC while the key binds aren't changeable and are strangely positioned it is still definitely playable.

took about ~200 dollars from me already but I have now realized it’s really not worth continuing I see myself powering up in the next weeks only to eventually hit the wall of gacha so I’m going to lose my 200-250 dollars and just move on to something else

Imo. Autopathing and autocombat is a staple in games today cause its very appealing to those that really want to play a game but unfortunately do not have the time to focus on it. And at times like these, there are a shit ton of people like this. Like for a working student like me, I can feel atleast a little bit sense of enjoyment from autocombat/auto questing while I’m studying or working.

with autoplay fucntion. you better off watch some youtube cut-scene/ movie than playing the actual game , becos your attention is else where right after you open the game , you dont even pay attention to the story or game mechanic or what ever happen in the screen bcos you busy doing something else . the next thing you know you already beat the game . if you wanna enjoy the story just watch cutscene, ateast your attention is there . or worst you still doing something else while opening the game YT video cutscene which defeat the whole purpose.

Downloading the game on your phone just to download it on your pc sounds like a huge hassle. Might as well play it on a emulator.

I literally got one of those gamer girl fake gameplay ads for this game before the video started and threw up in my mouth a little

I take pity on anyone who thinks this is the "future of gaming". No honey, this is a menial task-a high-end idle game at best, a part-time job at its worst. If an rpg lacks those engaging elements, you're just chipping away at an hp bar until the enemy dies, no effort on your part. Can you really consider that to be "playing" the game at this point?

I agree that an mmo that has auto-ing is trash but ive endured the first few hours (as i myself loathe auto mmo) but still found my self quite enjoying it, sinxe my friends play. Currently lvl 43, using auto combat is useful for field boss and world boss as i can focus on doding using movement and let the ai use the skills. Though if you've reach a bottle neck of your cp, its evident that it'll be p2w at endgame(specially if you wanna be competitive) At the end of the day its a good game to use a filler for upcoming games

I've been hearing this in youtube for a While, and I was Lucky to not download it because the storage (and the reviews from the playstore) and games that u mentioned some at 2 mins of the video

It's just like any cash grab mmo with auto path and auto play I thought it would be different but am really disappointed also the combat is not that great and the story is very boring..... When I saw it's from netmarble it all made sense tho

Hi, not an expert by any means when it comes to mobile gaming, tho I have seen if you play the PC version and add key bindings this may help. I haven't tried it myself tho

I mean it's Net Marble we talking about, it's when EA, Activision and Blizzard made a baby and put them at Asia.

I must be the odd ball. I really like this game its fun! Wish it was on console as an regular MMO but I still enjoy it. I dont care so much for PVP so the pay to win aspect doesnt seem that much of a big deal to me. And its easy to grind and get stronger IMO. But like I said im the odd one that loves this game.

I have been known to drop (too much) money on gachas, but I have yet to pay for a game in order to watch it play itself.

P2E games are not meant to be played and enjoyed, they are designed to be farmed hence the auto function, you are supposed to play several accounts on several devices at the same time in order to farm cripto and unlock nft

Actually I wrote a comment thinking I would disagree with your opinion over a mobile mmorpg but I agree with mostly what you said except for the auto combat stuff. You can disable all auto combat features in options and honestly as somebody who plays on PC that's what I did, you can't disable auto quest tho and that's frustrating I'll be honest which is why I rarely click the quest and I try to find the Npc in the map. It's not why would you disable it? It's more like you disable it if you don't like it which is what I did, I disabled it because I don't like it. The story and the world of the game is actually good I'm enjoying the story more than I have been enjoying an mmorpg story in awhile. But I do agree the monetization will eventually ruin the game. I'm playing it because of the story mostly and also because Steam is not updating Lost Ark I pause the update and it just restarts it from the beginning. At least I can play V Rising while waiting for Lost Ark to properly update in Steam. Anyway like I said the game have good story, graphics and world but the monetization ruins the game, I don't agree about the autoplay because you can disable it except for the auto quest

You can disable autoplay, yes. But a good game doesn't _need_ autoplay to begin with. For example, if _Genshin Impact_ had an autoplay feature, I would still spend almost all of the time playing manually because not only is the grind lighter, but the combat is way more engaging.

the problem is that the auto play is there and it exist you can disable it yes but those who use it will do things faster and easier than you so it's a must use thing in order to progress easier and by time the game gets repetitive like any other mmo...

You can't just autoplay to complete story missions, the game puts checkpoints in missions where you just complete an activity on your own or click through dialogue. Autoplay is only efficient for farming, and if you complain about auto farming that's just dumb as hell. Why would you not appreciate devolopers giving you a way to farm offline instead of having to pour 20 hours just to get enough materials to craft 10 times

@@Stixxy I might be biased toward this game but when you talk mostly about cons of this game, even make pros of this game sound like cons for example auto play feature, you possibly can't say you are not biased against this game because you definitely are!

I think the story is really compelling, but everything else sucks giant ass. The witch at low levels feels like a simple spear wielder but the spear is floating, so it's magic right? :/ They released a survey, so I hope they listen to the responses...

I'm playing the game for the story because so far it's the better story in an mmorpg that I have seen for awhile. That's it. Will I play it long term? Most likely not. When Tower of Fantasy releases goodbye Ni no Kuni Cross Worlds, when Wuthering Waves releases goodbye Tower of Fantasy, when Blue Protocol releases I will play both Blue Protocol and Wuthering Waves since they are different genres and since Kuro Games knows what they do.

Yup. I'm glad the story is at least intriguing enough to make you want to continue playing. Because the gameplay definitely isn't! haha. As long as someone keeps you playing - that's what's important.

I like auto play games. It allows me to have 4-5 games running in the background simultaneously while i watch anime/manga/LN or play FPS in the foreground. XD

I wish other games had this level of production value without the autoplay. I could live with the gatcha if they gave us actual game play.

I legit only play still even though I saw that it was one of those crappy CP games was that I am enjoying the story and found a guild with chill people to chat with. I would have quit after a few hours of playing.

So much wasted potential... The autoplay I could have get used to it but as you said the game is built around it and it shows. The pc version clipping is the worst I've ever seen (even with max settings). Oh and the shady blockchain/nft ... And the nail in the coffin: the whole "review" event debacle. My Time Is to valuable to waste it on this trash 😂

uk its funny when u can grind ur own high tier gear and familiars with just farming the mats without actually spending a single dime on the gacha, thus make this game's gacha banners almost irrelevant for f2p players :EShrug

Superprisim made a gatcha game called kingsense telling people to leave a good review for the game to get in game stuff and got in trouble now ki ni kuni is doing it to ugh..

Based on your review, it looks like you breezed through the game for just an hour or so while complaining and looking at flaws althroughout. I played lots of gacha games, and so far, the game is good for what it is. It's not for everyone, but it's not bad. Everything that you complained about is purely based on player preference, nothing really showing that the game is bad, just you badmouthing a game that you did not like. Very biased review. For other people watching this review, check out the other reviews from other gacha gamers here in YT, there you'll hear in their voice honest reviews about the game, you will see what's good and what's not, unlike here where he tries to say that something is good (just to try and show that he's not biased) when he himself doesn't believe that it's good, just because he doesn't like the overall game.

Tbh the thing interest me to play NNKCW is auto play and Ghibli aesthetics.

got to lv80, was top 100 in my server as a f2p and... at some point i knew i had enough, the autoplay was the game's saving grace, something a lot of these types of mmos lack (games where you have to keep farming for hundreds to thousands of hours to get any progress at all) the actual issues were mainly with the global players getting absolutely cucked by NM, no free income of diamonds, replaced by the absolutely terrible territe which is a scam and a half of a system, forcing players to either wait or buy it (when the asian versions have no such thing and have instead farmable diamonds...) and the ultimate slap to the face to global players, the insane (stealth) nerf to the eggs system that dropped the already low chances of getting 4 star familiars for free by like 70%... and they did it while playing dumb, hoping nobody would notice that. the territe system isn't actually too terrible, until you get to higher levels where you need it for literally everything and upgrades requiring it aren't even guaranteed to succeed, in fact they can fail and damage your gear even turning it back to lower levels, you need territe to craft gear which you'll need to dismantle for absurdly low chances of getting upgrade materials that can go to waste really easily... i was hoping they would get their shit together and do something to make the game even a little bit better for us global cuc- i mean players but nope, kept getting worse, the game (glb ver.) deserves nothing but to fail.

@@Stixxy costume + card + box + job change(if there is anime COLLAB event) gacha hell The game is more than 2-3 years in SEA server and many years in China The update has semi-auto pathing anyway it has only 4 server in SEA version and lots of channels

I actually enjoy the autoplay aspect for farming. It allows me to play another game or do something else without having to attack the same group of monster for an hour just to get some items that have a low drop rate

That’s fine! Everyone has their own likes and dislikes! Not every game will appeal to every person haha.

I have to ask my friend to register my account in his mobile acc so I can play it right away on PC. The task mechanics is way too repetitive and boring. And yes, it's P2W, not even semi anymore. I don't mind gacha games if the game give us a way to get the currency, but this game trample on it all

@Stix so true Everything in nino kuni is fked up Hatching system is garbage Gach system rate is scammy bullsht Skill book drop rates is fking trash And the main quest is Too rough World boss is overkill too op And the raids drops are garbage The Customes are a pain to Craft And The Auto mode can never turned off which bullsht

80 Hours into the game. I still love it. U don't see the problem? Gacha is not important, just a nice side think not like Genshin where the main part was Gacha. Nft and chains just don't care about it. Don't waste money and go for it. Me with a broken hand, really liking the auto path and Fighting. Let's see how it going. After 900 hours in Genshin I need something else.

@@saimyintmyat9373 well it's for sure the point where all kids complained about all the time. Not enough free characters, not enough free wishes, expensive prices And more... It had a big focus on gacha, besides the good story and great visuals. But Ni No Kuni, gives a shit about Gacha, it's not important, everything you need, you can farm without money, and some time. It has definitely more Grind then genshin.

@@saimyintmyat9373 Nah i had Worse Gacha games, where there was no Pity system. Stack System and 5* chance under 0,5% But yeah you dont need Gacha in Ni No Kuni and in Genshin its a nice to have. But the F2P Community in genshin are a punch of cry Babys for not having 10000 Free wishes every week. Besides by Ni no Kuni there is 0 reasons for gacha. All my 4* weapons and Summons are from Eggs or Crafting.

When you see a game with alot upgrade type for gear. Then that game surely not friendly f2p

Some really good points but some bad ones too. Game is hardly pay to win imo. Rates are better than most people think. The auto isnt for everyone but it is designed for mobile and auto games have started their own genre which is idle games/gacha. 8 hours of progress and have not unlocked all or most seems like the goal here was to find all the worst things about the game and not look at whats good too? Since you can reach level 40 in less than 2 hours. Field bosses require you to manually control your character as you can easily get 1 shot, Same goes for Labyrinths. Kingdom has so much good stuff too for all members. Character progression can be easily done through multiple characters. Other than your weapons gears/familiars and even codex carries over. Wanna be in the top 100? Then yes you absolutely need to spend but can you be competitive with the general population as a F2P? Most definitely! PvP takes skills. Especially Lava Valley, You can be a whale and still.absolutely get demolished by good players since match making is CP based. Equipments are craftable with a pity system and which pull rates are decent! Familiar system is not too bad either. I have hatched around 7 4 stars as of now. Mount system can be p2w in a way but not entirely, Since you can turn your 2 star mount into a 6 star too! And there is only 3 mounts that can be purchased through real $ in which the last one requires you to be at least 700k CP to get too and the rest are aquirable for everyone in game. Also people dont be worried about the "territe problem" cuz its def not the wall in this game, Its the upgrade stones! But you can call get that through dailies and a lot more through leveling your alt characters. Gives resources and even inventory slots. As F2P as it gets. Also CP isnt everything. You can have all that fake CP and if your character isnt built right, You still will suffer in both PvE and PvP. I am in currently in the top 200 as a F2P. So it is doable

Very disappointed as well. The game is beautiful. The game just has WAY too much GACHA. I know its a gacha game but is it necessary to have like every single item have gacha requirements? Even the mounts like you mentioned power up your character...Costumes are locked behind gacha as well. I feel like they made a big mistake going with NetMarble. The game could have been much better. I have a feeling it is going to die within a year or 2.

Netmarble is a scampany. Promoting this game as free to earn but theres no exchange token on my mobile phone. You need to exchange your terites to token in order to earn but if you play on mobile theres no exchange token. I been playing on mobile for 1 week and i cant exchange my token so no earning for me. Can you review this game that you cant earn. Dont be bias and tell player how Netmarble scam people.

I know tof devs don’t have a good reputation right now but I desperately need a mobile mmo and this game is not doing it for me I play it because I really want to play an mmorpg and I feel tof might be able to scratch that itch for me it one of the reasons I don’t like people comparing it to Genshin like bruh they are not even in the same genre anime sure but genre wise one is and open world arpg while the other is an open world mmorpg so yes I will be playing tof when it comes global like seriously speaking if anyone knows any mmo that is good and worth me checking out please write down in the reply let me go c for myself.
