Back in the early 70's I saw a old late 30's Plymouth truck. It was rough. Then years later in the 90's I saw it at a local car show restored. Talked to the guy , it was the same truck from that private junkyard . It was so Cool to see it restored. My tip of the hat to all you people that put the time and effort to bring them back.

We probably have some engine parts here for that truck. I'm sure somewhere, someone has pulled out a running engine to build a hot rod and has a good one sitting in the corner of their shop gathering dust. All the best to you and the Restored crew

Old mech trick: Stuck bolt removal without damage. PB Blaster or other rust dissolver, breaker bar and socket. Soak the stuck head, wiggle it back and forth, don't try immediately to turn it. Idea is to use a little torque to leech the PB down farther and farther, while compressing the now-wet rust lock in the hole. After a bit of wet'N'wiggle, you'll start to get a tiny bit of bolt movement. DON'T GO FOR IT YET. Wiggle it a little loose, then tighten it, then loosen it. Cut the rust lock about half a turn at a time, then tighten it to snug, keeping it wet.

Awesome video. My Dad always said there's something wrong with the truck if the farmer parked It out in the field. These old trucks aren't able to go to fast and the king pins on the front axle are usually worn out so have sloppy wobbly steering. So they probably were cast off by a new "modern" truck. I have a 49 KB1 and from my experience I can tell you the castings on the green diamond engine were heavy but prone to crack. I don't know if it's age, or mfg processing is the cause, but my block had several cracks. All of my cracks started at a head bolt hole and went all the way to the edge of the block. I think these K/KB series trucks are good looking rigs and it makes me happy to see them worked on. Thank you for the video. I appreciate you.

That was a great video!! I love the shape of that International and the grille is awesome! The cab lights are so cool and I love the factory wipers that hang down from the top! It seems like it would be a cool body to put on top of a modern 3/4 or 1 ton frame with a diesel like maybe a modern Dodge! I loved seeing Christian in front of the camera for a change! 😁

Excellent video RESTORE Crew Wylan :) , Lance :) , Christine :) I say truck be Blood Red color & I hope the owner want get fix and road worthy with other one on parts make 2 in 1 truck maybe ! If not put a modern Chevrolet or Ford motor, transmission plus updated to 12 Volt Negative ground plus updated gauges too and Transmission of owners choice plus foot pedal too and updated axle plus Power Brakes and Steering too ! My ideas I do for sure on this truck and all needs plus paint with seat to! Think that one is made heavy duty on 1 ton by wheels size and lug nuts to me !

I’m finally at a stage where I can put some money into it and want to work on it myself. I only have basic knowledge of working on vehicles so these videos are a great help to get me started. To me that turck is still worth saving. Besides the block being cracked, the rest of the truck is in tack for the most part. If they could get a replacement block, then use as many salvageable parts off the motor, they have something to work with. Great video and very interested in knowing what they want to do with that old truck, I'd buy it in a heart beat. God bless.

I always see you guys putting in all kinds of stuff in the cylinders to break them loose. I also see you try to force it. You take a chance on breaking the rings. A junkyard told me about 30 years ago to use brake fluid. I've had motors break the same day or overnight. You can also mix trans fluid 50/50 with acetone. That's supposed to be stronger than penetrating oil. Actually just watched the one with the 65 Ford p/u. Just found you guys since they hooked U Tube to TV. I've only unseized motors that sat less than 3 yrs. If you can't find acetone in a hardware store, you can get nail polish remover. Only get the marked 100 percent acetone..
