Here is an example of poor design. While watching this video, I can either read the caption or look at the picture, but I can't do both in the allotted time, so I have to stop the video at each new image. When I do that, the caption is covered up with controls and the video progress bar. Either the captions should be at the top or the images should be a little smaller with the captions at the bottom.

Lol.. I had this exact same issue along with trying to figure what the fail in design was on a few images, for example: The bike rack at 8:04 designed to accommodate bikes with disk brakes.

That map needed a pause to determine all the mismatched flags.
0:56 If only there was some nearby open space on which to plant the trees.
Good lesson for speed reading and picture identification.
I worked for 8 years in a brand new open concept school that had "classrooms" partitioned just that way. It was chaos. As soon as they could scrape up the money they built walls.
You don't give us enough time to read the print, which sometimes doesn't explain the picture.

@@christopherdean1326 Small world, they say. My stepfather was a teacher at Forest Hill boys school. I went to Brockley Primary school in the 1970s. It's changed a lot since then.
we had the partitioned classroom in 3rd grade as an after effect of earthquake. Our school had 2 branches a big one and the original tiny one. The earthquake damaged the original branch so they mixed that one into the big one. There werent enough building so we got the extra activity halls and compound(art room, 2 huge karate halls and wushu hall). they decided to manage for the year and have another block ready for the next years. For that year, the art room was made into 2nd grade classroom, the wushu hall was partitioned into 2 for ukg and 1st grade, the bigger karate hall for 3,4 and 5 and finally the smaller karate hall for nursery and lkg. There never really was a problem with the partitioned classes. There were some disturbances but in all honesty, that wouldve been the same even if there were actual walls. That year was one of my favorites in that school(3rd to 10th grade) tho i gotta admit 7th was my all time favorite
8:04 seems a normal bike stand to me. one made for bikes with disk brakes

They had a lot of those back when I was a kid. I never used them, figuring that my bike would take less damage if I dropped it on the ground on the far side and locked it to the rack from there.

Bike thieves love these as there's no real meaningful way to attach a bike lock to it. Thief pops by detaches front wheel if necessary, and walks off with bike
@carmenl163

@@douglasdanke5779We have many bike racks like this in the Netherlands. You put your chain lock around your front wheel and frame and you have your disc lock. Of course it's better to have your bike locked to a lamp post for instance, but there isn't always room for that.
Since I am very far from the fairest in the land, (& thus tend to avoid regular mirrors), I really wouldn’t mind that ridiculous mirror featured in this video.
That pool with the slide- wtf did they make it fun, then try to spoil the fun?
Majestic Falls. That is so funny, I can't stop laughing.
4:30 As we now all tend to have hand sanitizer in our pocket by now, that's no problem. Just use some sanitizer and a tissue, and the permanent marker is old history. Sanitizers are alcohol based, and so are permanent markers. 8:05 Seen worst. Take the same, but, make the oblique part horizontal... back in the 60's, ALL bike stands where the same. Sets of three oval loops where you insert the front wheel. After a month, ALL the bikes that used those had bent spokes. 10:00 Cat bath cage ? Looks more like a cat drowning cage to me. That's a torture device for your cat.
ATTENTION! If you draw on a whiteboard with permanent marker, and go over the lines with a dry erase marker, it removes all but trace ink when wiped off. Admittedly, you run out faster when doubling it as an eraser, but still cool. Dont believe me? Go try it! I'll wait here
In the Netherlands we have very steep stairs and bicycle stands like the first ones. So, it's not the best design but we're use to it.
On the "non existent elevator In the room is a door to the left if the buttons. In some buildings the elevator has a door that covers the elevator door. It's designed that way so that when serviced it is blocked from entry
That water pipe was beyond stupid.
Thank you so much for your video.
7:10 What building inspector signed off on that? Clearly doesn't meet code in any place I've ever lived.
Can you please find a way to put the captions somewhere I can read them while on pause? Thanky.
If the Disney store was in Scotland, the use of "hame" is perfectly acceptable
What the hell happened to Australia in that map? A third of it seems to be missing ! Where I live doesn't exist !
The extra R one. There is one but why would a person make their sign like that. I wouldn't have known the place unless they told me
