CGI is usually used from 3D render and they just de-age or age the actors. In BOBF they used photography. Sorta like AI art but they had help by hiring someone who remade Mando 2 Luke scene better because that person used the same idea.

Remember that studios barely give animators any time at all for CGI. So if it looks like it was done in about 4 hours, it probably was.

Never gonna forget the Umbrella Academy S3 rooftop scenes. CGI in the show is usually good so it made me laugh so hard on my first watch.

Bad call on Christopher Reeves was amazing

They shouldve just let Superman have a mustache... i mean he has chest hair. I think people wouldve showed up just for the mustache.

Honestly would have been easier to fake the moustache than to fake not having one.

In the black widow movie, when the sister is falling backwards due to some explosion, the cgi is so bad there. I remeber seeing that part in theatre's and thinking "really? That's the best they can do?"

In Black Widow, yes the CGI is poor but it's not a CGI mistake, it's actually a filmmaking mistake, the CGI just tried to cover it up. Filmmaking affects the quality of CGI more often than not.

My go-to scene for all time worst CGI is from the 1st X-Men movie. When wolverine gets thrown off the head of the statue of liberty and sticks his claws into one of the spikes on her crown to flip around it. In all fairness the movie was made like a quarter century ago, but even at the time while watching it in theaters I snorted with laughter at how god-awful it was, even compared to other CGI used in the same movie

I mean the spykids one is just intentional at that point of bad, so I respect you putting it up there but not mentioning it by name. Also did Reeves' family give consent for his inclusion?
